Paden sighed softly as he stared out at the water. He had been at this place for just over a week with nothing to do, but boredom was not the cause of his sigh. He was still not used to this 'new' world. One moment he had been descending the stairs of his family's mansion, the next he was sitting in the middle of a forest. How had it happened? Why had it happened to him? The young male had no idea, but he wanted to know. More than anything, Paden wanted to know what had caused his sudden transfer from his own time period to this one.
After a moment, the man stood. His sword hung at his waist, enclosed in the fake jewel encrusted sheath. Paden rested his hand upon the sword's hilt and simply stood there for a moment. What hurry was he in to go somewhere? He didn't even know anyone here aside from those Head-Mistresses who had offered him a place to call home. The young male was so distracted at the moment that he didn't even notice the female demon who was no more than three yards from him. Oh well, perhaps he would in another moment...or at least before he walked into her.

How long will this take? How much can I go through? My heart, my soul aches
☢ ☣ ☢╏Her gaze shifted downward as soon as he made his inquiry, a sure sign that this was not a subject she enjoyed. But why would it be? After that first action she let out a heavy sigh and shook her head before starting to speak. A frown grew across his features as he listened to her tale. So this was the cost of his services? For her life to be spent in chains? Why though? When he had served as her bodyguard, Spirit had believed she was somehow related to those that employed the Society or a future bride. He never would have expected this to be the result.
☢ ☣ ☢╏Of course, her parents would have had to agree to those terms though. Were they truly so cruel? It wasn't impossible, and Spirit knew better than most just how heartless a parent could be. His own mother had promised her first born to the very people she had wanted to get away from. When they had come to collect, his parents had convinced Spirit that his brother had been nothing more than a figment of his imagination. So, what would stop Sariah's parents from doing this?
☢ ☣ ☢╏"I'm sorry Sariah. If I had known..."What? He would have stayed with her? That was impossible. Back then he had been following orders, he'd been nothing more than the Society's loyal lapdog. They'd told him it was time to return and so he had. Spirit had never thought about the consequences back then."I'm sorry."He held the woman as she clung to his waist. He might not be able to change what had already happened but he would protect her as best he could for as long as she was here.
☢ ☣ ☢╏A moment later she surprised him by raising a hand and brushing her fingers against his cheek, against his mark. He had for gotten it for the moment, though his thoughts were brought back to it whenever he looked in a mirror. Just as he was about to say "I'm fine" she kissed, gently. Right where the mark rested. He smiled softly at her, though his eyes held curiosity over her actions."I am fine Sariah, thank you for the concern. This,"He lifted a hand to touch the mark."This is a reminder of what I have done, who I am. You should be more concerned with yourself at the moment."He kissed her forehead lightly then, though why he did so was a mystery to even himself."Are you truly alright?"

Sorry if it's meh. I was almost done when I lost it. T^T
Sariah heard him saying that if he had known and such but then stopped. She had looked down knowing that he was just following orders and shook her head. "You didn't have much of a choice Spirit. Its alright, it wasn't for you or me to know. Not until it was too late for me and well you I guess would have never known." She said to him as she then looked and listened as he spoke about the marking on his face. She looked down and then was worried about his well being but could see that he was better off now than what he was before.
She looked up at him as he said that she should have been more concerned about her own well being instead of his. She felt his lips press gently onto her forehead and she smiled weakly slightly turning red in the cheeks. She then shrugged. "I....I really don't know. I was sold to them and owe my live of servitude to them. Now I'm here. I guess I'm just worried I'll be forced to leave. I'm already branded a slave, nothing can change that that I know of but I don't want to end up a place where I'll be beaten or anything." She said to him.
She trembled a bit in fear of what all could happen if they were to come for her to sell her or whatever they were planning to do with her. She then looked up at him looking rather tired for her long night of being captured and such. "I'm glad that your here Spirit, and thank you. It seems I owe you a debt again for saving my life from more well so as to kindly put it from my perspective, bad evil people." She said to him trying to lighten the mood while still telling him that she owed him for his help.

Emma was so absorbed in the feel of the water and sand that she didn't even notice the male that was not far from her. Tossing her hair behind her shoulders Emma ran into the water a little more before diving into it, not caring how cold it felt against her warm body. She wanted, no needed, to feel the coolness against her flesh. She needed to know that she was out of that place and away from her owner. She knew she would never completely be away from him, but he had lost interest in her, so for now she was away from him.
Crap post I know...I'm sorry... Oh hey if you can maybe go to her profile and pick out which art you like the most, let me know and maybe resize it if needed...
Paden's gaze shifted slightly at the sound of splashing. His eyes filled with mild surprise, as though he had not expected another to come to this place while he was in the area. This was not his home though, and this place was open to everyone who resided within the castles walls. Paden had no problems with this, it was not his place to make the rules anyway. The way of these times was strange to him, that's all. The women, for instance, were far more independent. Why, this very place was managed by three women!
As he turned to leave, the young male realized something. He didn't know how to get back to the castle. This had been his first trip to the beach and, well, he had not been focusing on the path which brought him here as much as he should have been. What a predicament the male had gotten himself into.... His eyes shifted back to the strange woman in the water. Perhaps she could guide him back? It was worth a shot. "Excuse me, madam!" He called out to the female then waited to see if she had heard, or would acknowledge, him.

☢ ☣ ☢╏Spirit smiled lightly at her words. True or not, that didn't change how he felt though. The sad thing was that she was right, if not for him running into her here he probably never would have known, or even thought about, what her fate would be. This thought made him wonder how many others there had been that he had left to a fate similar or worse than Sariah's, but his mind was quickly turned from these thoughts by her touch. It was at this point that he began to answer her about the marking on his cheek. He didn't give her a straight answer about the 'tattoo' and probably wouldn't without some amount of prying. Besides, he hadn't lied when he said it was a reminder. There was simply more to it than that.
☢ ☣ ☢╏A low chuckle passed his lips when the male noticed her cheeks turn ever so slightly red. A frown tugged at his features when she spoke, though he was happy that her answer was an honest one. He couldn't see the owners of the castle forcing Sariah to leave after how kind they had been to him. He had his doubts about her having to stay as a slave considering that he had just disposed of the men that were planning to sell her. As of yet he did not see a way to remove the collar they had placed around her neck though, and that would definitely cause trouble for the girl if she was sent elsewhere. Her fear of being beaten or some such thing was a legitimate one too, and that was something he didn't want to be realized.
☢ ☣ ☢╏He noticed her trembling as these thoughts passed through her mind and couldn't help pulling her into his arms once more to comfort her. He would never let that happen to her, not when he could prevent it. Before he could say anything the girl looked up at him through tired eyes and spoke. A soft laugh fell from his lips at her words and he shook his head and responded to her latter statement."It was nothing Sariah, I'm just glad that you are safe now."The truth of those words could be heard in his tone; so long as she was by him, Spirit would keep her safe.
☢ ☣ ☢╏"I honestly can't see the women who own this castle forcing you to leave after how kind they have been to me. And, as far as you being a slave goes, I could claim the title of being your 'master' until we find a way to change it."His tone left no question as to whether or not they would find a way, he was determined to free her."I won't force you to do anything, and this way you won't have to worry about being hurt. What do you think?"Truth be told, he hadn't chosen one way or the other what he wished to be in this place, but if being a 'master' would help Sariah then so be it. He would claim that title.

My apologies, school and life took over and I forgot about this. >.<
Sariah looked up at him and then she nodded hugging him back as well. She felt so much comfort in his arms and was glad that he seemed willing to accept to be her master for the time being at lease. "As long as I'm safe I'll be happy. I'll do what I can t-to serve you." She said to him she was still shaking a bit there in his arms but she kept steady as best she could.
She still looked so tired at him and her eyes showed it along with her posture and such. When she was younger she was so spry and always had a upright and proper posture about her. She looked up at him with her red and blue eyes clearly showing how grateful she was for him being there. She then rested her head on his chest again "Thank you so much m-master." She said to him still hesitant on being a slave but she didn't have a choice and really she was so grateful that he had saved her and had done it yet again by claiming her as his own.

☢ ☣ ☢╏Spirit smiled softly at the woman and bent down to kiss the top of her head."As long as it is in my power to do so, I will keep you safe Sariah. And you really won't need to do anything, I just want to stay close to you."He told her with a warm smile. He could still feel her shaking, but that was to be expected. Either way, and whether she realized it or not, he had just pledged himself to her. Until he was dead, he would protect her and stay by her side. It was sort of funny considering that he was technically her master now.
☢ ☣ ☢╏The longer he looked at her, the more tired she seemed. Then again, it had been a rather long and rough day for her.... It took him slightly by surprise when the girl rested her head upon his shoulder, but Spirit didn't flinch or back away. Instead, he cupped the back of her head in one hand and held her close. He was again surprised when she referred to him as 'master.' It just sounded so foreign to him...especially from her."Just call me Spirit, Sariah. There's no need for that 'master' stuff. Now,"He smiled lightly and scooped her into his arms."Why don't we get you somewhere that you can rest?"He questioned, though he wasn't actually looking for an answer. With Sariah in his arms, the male began to walk towards the Castle.

Post in his room or her room next please :3 (Was just editing the image, sorry for the re-quote. >.<)
Sky walked along the beach, carrying her shoes in her hand, so that she could feel the warm sand between her toes. She had always loved the beach, but it had been far too long since she had been able to visit any beach. Only one of her previous homes had been close to a beach, and that master had forbidden her from going down there after he had found out that she had snuck down to it one night. She honestly hadn't thought there would be any problem; it was late at night, all of her work had been done and everyone had been asleep. The beach even met with the property line. She was pretty sure that he was only being a jerk about it, because he hadn't wanted her to do anything that she might enjoy in at least a small bit. He had been one of the harsher ones she had dealt with in her years involved in this 'life'.
But now, there really wasn't anyone to tell her that she couldn't enjoy the beach and the sand between her toes. She had yet to find another master, and there wasn't even anything to do around the castle in the first place. She had been here for a few weeks by this point, and she was honestly a bit bored. She hadn't really met anyone yet, so she didn't have any friends to talk to. Everyone always seemed so busy with their own things that Sky wasn't sure where she fit in at. To be perfectly honest, she was starting to feel as though she didn't fit in at all here. She probably would have left by now if she had someone else to go. Then again. . . wasn't it better to have nowhere to go and be on your own, then it was to be some place that you weren't wanted?
Frowning at the thought, Skye walked closer to the water's edge and carefully sat down in the sand. Letting her feet get close enough to the water that it ran over her feet with the low waves that were washing up onto the beach, she sat her shoes down beside her and let her wings relax and unfold. Normally, she kept them tucked away in her shirt and out of sight, but since she was alone on the beach, she decided to let them get some air. Letting the fluffy pink wings unravel, they slowly began to ruffle in the cool breeze that was blowing and she tilted her head back, closing her eyes and allowing herself to relax and feel the sun on her face. That was something she had promised herself that she would never take for granted again.
