In tow Elzee Razz carried a large bag filled with the currency of Soul Society, it was in this bag she was going apologize to her family and return the favor they had given her. They'd given her everything and after everything she had nothing to give back to them. Now being a Soul Reaper meant she got a healthy salary, and not being one to buy anything was able to save nearly every coin made.

She stopped dead in her tracks when she could smell the scent of burnt wood and decaying spiritual matter. Quickly the woman bolted through the crowd pushing a few people aside until finally she reached the clearing in which her old home used to reside. Now all that remained was rubble and toppled over burnt beams. Her lip curled into a wicked snarl as she pushed out her spiritual pressure attempting to get a feeling of the entire area and eventually there was a pang. It was like grabbing the side of her face and yanking her to the side. Turning to look she noticed a man with two drawn Wakazashi. From this distance she couldn't tell how well he was versed in their use but could tell that they where soul cutters. This man was apart of a certain group which hated the Shinigami, and often times they did their best to victimized anyone that supported their cause. Today this man was apart of a group that destroyed everything Elzee Razz had once called home. The burning of rage now seared even more as she could never apologize for what she had said in pure anger.

The man called out to her and the crowds pushed away from both of them, "Draw your blade Soul Reaper! Today you die with your so-called family!" The man began walking forward still he taunted, "They cursed your name as each of them burned alive! They chanted to the Gods that you burn in hell." the man seemed to take this a bit personal as his tone was leveled with rage, "Because of YOUR betrayal these people are dead, and you call yourselves protectors of Soul Society." Elzee slowly drew her blade, it's wicked edges seemed to hum with a foreboding energy. The robes which hid her entire face and body shifted slightly in a light breeze and the tip of her mutated Katana poked out of the bottom of the thick armored robes.

Still she kept her ground not moving in any direction, her training told her to stay put and to wait for her enemy to make the first move, though her training engraved into her very soul the rage made everything in her vision blurry. She could feel that her spiritual pressure was bleeding out into the village. Anyone with a keen spiritual sense could see that Elzee was actually absorbing light, hinting at a dark spiritual pressure. The glint of her eyes reflected the sun, but even then it was easy to tell that she was raging silently.

"If you really cared you would have come to their rescue and saved them, and after everything they did for you Elzee Razz!" he knew her name and spoke as if he knew of her history, a daunting surprise which meant the group he was apart of was without a doubt something to be dealt with.

The man was confident in his swordplay, though he was never trained, and simply exceptionally skilled. He stood no chance against a trained Soul Reaper but his confidence and arrogance told him otherwise. Charging forward the man lunged using a trick he taught himself and seemingly ended every sword-fight before they ever began. Jabbing his fists forward the blades would slash at her neck and belly, Elzee returned the gesture and lunged forward holding her blade with a single hand and swiping upwards catching and parrying both blades away and following through with forcing her palm through his nose and into the sky.

The man was sent flying away with a broken nose, temporarily blinded and to make matters worse landed on the small of his back spraining it. Simply laying on the ground the man growled in agony as he attempted to force his legs to work... Slowly he stumbled to his feet and faced off yet again but this time with only a single blade as the other had clattered free from his grasp. The robed warrior stood silent, in the same position she was in before he attacked. The man gathered himself and then charged again yelling as loud as he could thrusting the blade forward, in that moment Elzee dropped her blade to the ground lunging forward and out of her robes, her hands reached out one snapin at his wrist and the other at his elbow successfully breaking the blade free from his grasp. The man reeled back throwing a punch with his free hand catching her across the face and for only a moment the small woman staggered and returning the blow with curled fingers grabbing onto his groin and twisting with all of her strength. Howeling in pain the man did his best to keep his ground but let all his defenses drop as he began to lurch forward, not allowing him to do this Elzee brought a knee up to his face again as hard as she could smashing into his already broken nose.

Being tossed back the man almost began falling backwards but stopped as the woman grabbed his head with both of her hands and smashed her forehead into his face, blood sprayed onto her face and chest as she let him fall to the ground. Grunting in pain the man clutched his mutated face as Elzee stepped over him kneeling down over his chest, slapping his hands away she grabbed onto his throat and began squeezing as hard as she could, the man sputtered and struggled against the new threat but was too weak from the previous attacks to fully retaliate, so instead he reached out to her face and feebly clawed at it.

By now people simply watched in terror as the Shinigami handled the man before them, as his face darkened he could feel his limbs become numb and his consciousness quickly slipping. With one last attempt the man reached into his sleeve pulling out a thin dagger and jabbed it up into her side. The woman screamed in pain but only fueled her anger until finally she let his neck go, grabbing firmly onto his jaw, and his hair and yanking to the right as hard as she could, there was a sickening THUCK and the man stopped moving. His eyes rolled into the back of his skull and blood dripped freely from his face onto the ground.

Staggering back Elzee looked down to the blade which was sticking out of her side, the blade was long enough to cut through a few organs and to top it off, it was poisoned.

Shakily she pulled the blade free and lurched forward jabbing it into the mans eye. Panting she began to feel weak and the shooting pain from the stab wound made her dizzy. Rolling to her back beside the mans corpse she stared at the sky, tears now beginning to roll down her cheeks. Though she was in immense pain she had no emotion expressed and did little to stop the bleeding.

Well, wasn't this great. Here, Haru had been enjoying a nice training session within the squad Seven dojo, when he had been given a message from a hell butterfly by his captain, telling him that he needed to respond to a call of a disturbance in the rukongai, one of the many districts that was already riddled with crime. Even though only responding to one case on his own, Haru knew that there were bound to be many more that he would respond to, considering that hollow activity seemed pretty much nonexistent. Sighing to himself, Haru begrudgingly grabbed both of his bowie knives, tucking them into the left sleeve of his uniform, buckling them into the strap that was ever present above the bandages he wore on both arms. It was more or less a habit, after going through training that had caused him to constantly pool reiatsu in his arms. The bandages had a salve on them that restricted this flow, and so it was only when he took them off that this happened.

Pushing open the dojo doors, Haru's bright green eyes were blinded by the bright sunlight, his pupils trying to dilate down to adjust. His hair, a bright silver, did nothing to cover his eyes to try and block out some of the rays. By all means, it was a beautiful day; sakura trees blooming in mid-season, a slightly warm wind blowing, causing the petals of the trees to fly about in the wind. If he only knew what kind of scene he was going to see, he might have just stayed there to admire the beauty of what he saw then. Only, he was one to always adhere to his superiors wounds, and so he left the beauty of the area, to go to the bloody scene where Elzee was.

After first flashing the insignia of his division to the gatkeepers, Haru decided that the quickest course of action was to go directly to the scene, even if it meant going through a few bad parts of town. After all, he was a shinigami. It held at least some power, deterring those who might stop him and try to swindle money off him. Well, it wasn't like he had money anyway. he saw no real need for the currency that he was given, and so it simply sat in a bag in his room. His salary was meager, and so saving it would do much more good than trying to buy something with the little he had. Although, just in case he saw something he liked, Haru kept a little money in the pockets of his uniform. Not much, but enough to get him something if he saw it.

Kicking his right leg against the ground, Haru let a small burst of his reiatsu come from the sole of his foot, propelling him upwards and onto the roof of the nearest building. While the rooting was a little sketchy with the many tiles on top of the roof, he kept his ground, using a little reiatsu against his feet to keep his grip. He hoped that this wouldn't take too long. Pushing off the tiles, Haru jumped form roof to roof, making sure to head in a straight line to the area he was told where the disturbance happened. Being in a semi-nicer part of the rukongai, it was still surrounded by harsher territories that relentlessly fought with one another. Since the shinigami couldn't handle everything around that area, even some anti-shinigami groups had formed. Maybe it was one of those that had caused the disturbance?

Arriving on the scene he quickly found something he thought he wouldn't; a shinigami already there, though she was both somewhat beaten and then stabbed. Jumping from the roof he was on, Haru bolted over to where Elzee lay, looking at her various wounds that were still bleeding. One in particular caught his eye-where the poisoned dagger had struck. the wound seemed somewhat miniscule compared to what it could have been, though the area was quickly turned black and purple. Was it poison? it showed the same signs as quick decay caused on by a fast acting poison that caused the cells to quickly lysis-explode-causing the area to take on a coagulated blood color. Moving from the wounded girl to the dead man-slightly unnerved about the fact that his jaw was hanging loosely as well as a dagger protruding from his eye-Haru moved his hands through the man's shirt, trying to find an antidote. It was a well known fact that if you had something poisoned, you always kept at least a little of the antidote on yourself, if you accidentally cut yourself or had your weapon taken from you and used against you. Haru's hand finally hit something, a small bottle in the folds of the man's robe. Pulling it out and popping the cork with his teeth, Haru made sure to smell what was inside before he even got it near the already wounded woman. but, he really didn't have a choice. The bottle was unmarked, and it was the only thing on the man that was still intact, so Haru had to simply trust that he had gotten the right thing. Moving the girl's head up, Haru quickly put the bottle to her lips. "Drink it. You want to live, correct?"

Her gaze was distant now and already it was easy to see she was numbed to the pain as long as she didn't move. Though his face was blurry she tilted her head slightly to look at him, he held something out and even though she couldn't understand what he'd said the scent near nose and the small jar lightly pressed against her lips gave an indication that this was the cure. Hastily she reached out and drank the small vial gagging and coughing she grimaced as the pain of her wound shot through her entire body. Closing her eyes Elzee simply lay still for a moment attempting to gather her barring and eventually after a few moments she felt the dizziness from the poison fade though the pain still remained. She'd been stabbed and was still bleeding out, there was internal damage though not enough to keep nearly all Shinigami off of their feet. Slowly and weakly she pushed herself from the ground to her feet.

Slowly the blurriness in the woman's vision vanished and gingerly limped over to her blade pulling it up out of the soil, standing up right she grunted and flicked the blade clean with practiced discipline, disregarding her agony to perform the proper moves to sheath the Katana. With a small flourish the blade slide with a metallic SHHHHICK! and clicked as it locked in place. Leaning forward slightly she placed a single hand over her wound, for any mortal the wound would have been almost certainly fatal however for the Shinigami their spiritual pressure kicked in when their physical body failed. One of the few reasons she didn't just bleed out here was because of her spiritual pressure. Subconsciously her spirit did all that it could to keep itself together, working as a sort of temporary stitch keeping everything in place. It wouldn't last long and she already began to feel the strain on her spiritual energy as it drained into her wound.

Sweat dripped from her forehead down to her chin and then onto her chest. This much effort and effects of the poison still wearing off dampened her skin with exertion. Looking up to the man she gave him a gentle nod, "Thanks." though she did her best to remain calm, and beside the physical pain the agony of what had happened to her family was still setting in. Turning away from Haru Elzee's golden gaze glared emptily at the burnt rubble, mentally wishing that she could simply will it away and to turn back time. Stumbling towards the door-frame of the house she used to live in the woman's eyes welled up with tears and slowly dribbled down her cheeks. Blood, sweat and now tears just to add to the sting against her soft flesh. Dropping her head she slid down against the frame until she sat on her knees. Head held low and shoulders drooped Elzee began to cry. No matter how hard she tried to keep herself together the weight of everything that had just happened hit her like a ton of bricks.

Now? She would never be able to explain herself... or apologize or even re-thank those she once cared for. It wasn't just her adoptive family that died, but a little piece of her did as well. As cliche as it is, there is nothing compared to the loss of someone you care for more than anything or anyone else in a single lifetime. This was her home... and now it was nothing but ash.

Somewhat hesitant at letting Elzee up, Haru couldn't exactly try to stop her without most likely causing her even more pain. The wound on her side though, needed immediate attention. Moving his right hand into his pocket, Haru withdrew some bandages coated with a salve that both dulled pain and helped the healing process. Pushing against the ground with his knees, Haru was on his feet and walking towards Elzee, who was by this point, a literal wreck. Why, Haru had no idea. Obviously something that had happened here had caused her great pain, either physical or emotional, maybe even both. On that note however, she still needed to get looked at. Crouching next to the crying woman, Haru put his hand on her shoulder, trying to do so as softly as he could.

"Miss...your wound. It needs attention. I have some bandages here..."

He doubted that he would get any sort of response, given her current demeanor, and so Haru knelt next to her, starting to put slight pressure on the wound, ripping a piece of his uniform off as a pad to put against the wound to help stop the bleeding initially. Rubbing the piece of cloth against the bandages, Haru was able to get a little of the salve on the cloth, before pressing it lightly against the woman's side. "Sorry if this hurts. It has some salve on it that'll help the pain and bleeding. Hold still for just a second."

Slowly wrapping the bandage around the girl's side, Haru made sure to wrap it tightly, but not tightly enough to cause discomfort or pain while doing so. The last thing this girl needed was to feel uncomfortable. Speaking of which...he was so close to this woman that he was able to completely see her...and that along made him turn a slight shade of pink as he noticed that she was scantily clad, at least to him. Making sure not to stare, Haru tied the bandage off and ripped the end, taking the rest that was unused and put it back into his pocket in case he needed it later. Pushing himself up, Haru walked over to a nearby stall, grabbing a small jug of water and giving the man nearby some money to pay for it. Obviously he gave the man more than what simple water was worth, but he couldn't really worry about little things like that. Moving the water towards the girl, Haru held out his hand, offering it to her. "Erm...here. If you need something to drink. And...there is a litte blood on your side." Motioning his head toward her wound, Haru pointed out the decent amount of somewhat coagulated blood on the woman's side. He thought she might want to clean it off, and doing so sooner would prove easier than later.
