Non-Owner Guardians

This is the thread where those of you who are aspiring to own a Dust and want to get in on the RP action can post your Guardian information. By doing this, you can RP with the Dusts and their Guardians in the shop, so long as the owner is the one that starts the RP (IE, two non-owners cannot start an RP and RP together - if you're interested in meeting non-owners, you can do so in an ORP or shop event).

When creating a Guardian, keep these simple rules in mind:

01. Guardians must be human.
02. Your Guardian's job/living style must be consistent with the world setting.
03. Like #2, your Guardian should be believable - IE, no ninja assassins, warlocks, FBI agents, etc.
04. No god-modding in the descriptions. For example, we don't want to see 'sad eyes so blue they make you cry' or 'a man so handsome you can't help but swoon.'
05. You may only have one Guardian.

If you're interested in joining the shop for some RP and getting a foothold in the Life Dust world, this is just for you! Copy and paste the form provided below and after the staff look it over to make sure it's okay, you're free to RP. Thanks for joining us!

Name: Name of your Guardian.
Age: Your Guardian's age (and birthdate, if you can think of one).
Gender: Male/Female
Description: This is a PHYSICAL description. Height, weight, hair color/length/style, clothes, body type, eye color, tattoos -- all that should be in this portion. Be as detailed as you'd like!

Personality: This is the portion for you to shine. Tell us about your Guardian - what they like, how they think, their quirks and habits. We recommend keeping likes and dislikes in this portion of the form. If you get stuck, try to think of the personality in a breakdown of pros and cons: two "good" traits (friendly, good-humored), a neutral trait (workaholic, ambitious), and two negative traits (selfish, demanding).

History: Tell us about your Guardian but please keep it in the neighborhood of 500 words. If you have a long-winded history (700+), give us bullet points for important moments and make the rest a smaller font size (size 8) so we can get understand your character and where they're coming from efficiently.

Name: Jasper Powell/Jace
Age: 23/February 20th
Gender: Male
Description: Jasper
Jasper is 5' 11" and weighs 157 lbs. He has straight black hair with a ponytail that reaches down his neck and amber-blue eyes. Jace is a slender guy with a bit of muscle tone from his job as a delivery man. He likes to wear black t-shirts with simple blue pants and shoes made for running. Jasper also wears a simple metal band which is his family's heirloom.

Personality: +friendly, +passionate | -impatient, -disorganized | *exercise nut
Jasper is big on exercise. He spends about a third of his day runing around in the city. If he didn't, he wouldn't know what to do with himself, especially since he hates to just sit around doing nothing. Jasper's customers are always talking about how friendly he is. He loves to meet people and make friends as much as possible. Jasper is also a very passionate person. If he believes in something, he will defend it until he wins or is proven absolutely wrong. His passion is also what drives to run every day.He has some flaws as well, one of which is utter impatience. He can never just stand around and wait. He needs things to happen as soon as possible; if it's not fast, he doesn't like it. Plus the fact that he is disorganized doesn't help much either. His days are always random thanks to his job, and it just sticks throughout the rest of his day. He never really likes to plan things out, he'd rather life just go with the flow.
like/dislikes: exercise, sports, more exercise/junk food, laziness, slow people

History: Jasper was born in Ardya but was sent away to live in Aimes with his aunt and uncle and their daughter. His parents didn't want him to grow up knowing danger and violence so they sent him away to live a peaceful life. Jasper would always ask questions about his parents as a young child, but as he grew, he asked less and less until he stopped altogether. He never really felt out of place there even though his parents weren't there. He still had family around, and they still cared for him like family, so it never bothered him being away from his parents.

He was a fourteen when he first got his job as a delivery boy. It was simple; just take the package from point A to point B. Since he was still at an impressionable age, he found the constant running to be exhilarating. He liked this job so much so that he still does it to this day. He even made friends with a few of his many regulars. He especially liked being friendly with them because they would tend to give a bigger tip.

Now in his early twenties, Jasper is one of the best runners in all of Amies. Recently, his brother Emil decided to move to Aimes, and though he doesn't live with Jasper and his uncle's family, he stops by often to discuss current events or tell them how everyone is doing back in Ardya. Jasper finds that he doesn’t really like his brother much, so when he stops by, Jasper will often sneak out and go for a run or hangout with his friends.

Name:  Camille Rhrodite
Age:  22, June 20th
Gender:  Female
Occupation Herbalist
Description:
At a full height of 5'4" and weighing in at just over 120 lbs, Camille is of pretty average stature. She is neither extremely fit or severely out of shape, but manages to maintain her weight despite the minimal amount of strenuous exercising she actually does in her day to day life. Her light brown hair is just a bit longer than the bottom of her shoulder blades, and is thick and straight. It is more often than not pulled back into a low ponytail to keep it out the way, but several locks of hair often escape and fall to frame her face. She is lightly tanned from spending a good amount of time outdoors, and has a very light smattering of freckles across her cheeks, the bridge of her nose, and the top of her shoulders. Her eyes are a medium shade of gray.
Clothing wise she prefers neutral and earthy colors. Since she does plenty of trekking to collect herbs and medicinal things, she mostly wears layers and light cotton. (Long sleeve and close fitting shirt with a shorter short sleeve top over it, denim or dark colored pants or shorts, and a belt with several pouches attached for her to store herbs and a small knife.)

Personality:
Camille is a warm and friendly person, she has very few reservations when it comes to helping and/or being kind to people. As such, she almost always has a kind and genuine smile to offer for just about anyone that approaches her at any point in time. This girl is not the type to question the people around her, and because of that, is a bit indiscriminate with her affections and loyalty. That tends to occasionally land her in situations where she bites off more than she can chew and finds herself in over her head. Camille is the kind of person who would hand out her last bit of food to a homeless man on the side of the road without a second thought or let a cut purse run off with her money if she felt they needed it more than her. (This of course backfires later when she is stuck between towns or villages with no food or money and only then pauses to think that perhaps it would have been better if she had handled things differently.)
Camille is nothing but hardworking however, and even in situations that are far from desirable, she is not the type of person who would shy away from her responsibilities. Perhaps this is due to her being the daughter of the doctor and herbalist in the small village she grew up in, but she will never walk away from someone she thinks she may be able to assist.

She is also very open to the people she meets, but her true friendship is something that must be earned. Sometimes it is difficult to discern if a person is a close friend or simply an acquaintance of hers due to her level of friendliness that she exhibits to everyone around her. It boils down to the small details, specifically what she remembers about the person in question. Camille has a rather impressive memory, but can at times be a bit scatterbrained, so when she chooses to remember something small (topics that the person is passionate about, preferences of food, type of humor, ect.) it's a good indication that she cares about them. Make no mistake however, should Camille ever feel personally threatened or feel that someone intends harm to a person close to her, she can and will get in their face about it. Subtlety is not something that Camille has in abundance even in the best of circumstances, much less when her patience has been worn thin and she has become irate. She takes no threat idly and is fiercely loyal and protective to her family and friends. Her aggression is something rarely seen normally due to the fact that Camille will generally give the benefit of the doubt to any person unless they have flat out made a direct threat to herself or someone she cares about.

She hates conflict, but has a rather short temper when it comes to most things that she perceives as a threat. Like any person, Camille has things that irritate her, but the only thing that can really evoke a quick and explosive negative reaction from her are direct and violent threats to herself or those important to her. For the smaller irritants like disorganization, arrogance, pestering her, and dishonesty, she will usually allow her frustrations to accumulate until a breaking point is reached and she snaps. This is arguably worse since when this happens, her anger is usually directed towards people whom are not directly responsible for her anger and frustration in the first place. After she calms down, Camille is usually horrified that she allowed herself to act in such a terrible way, and will seek out and apologize the the ones who endured her ire.

History:

◆ Camille is the youngest of three children from a small village. (Parents are a Doctor and a Herbalist.)
◆ When she turned 18, her brothers left the village. From then on she began to focus more on herbalism.
◆ Camille becomes more and more restless remaining in her village despite having a relatively comfortable life.
◆ At age 20, Camille's family received a letter from Helena. Her eldest brother was now a married man and expecting a child.
◆ She decides to go visit her brother and his new family. Camille reasons that she can also expand her knowledge of plants as she travels, but this is really the point where she decides to leave home.
◆ On her return trip from Helena, Camille finds a village paying ridiculously high amounts of money to import medication from Aimes. She proves her abilities to the local doctor and is offered a job there.
◆ Moves into a small cottage that was for sale on the edge of the Whi Forest.

Camille was born the youngest, and only daughter, of three children to a young couple that resided in a small village between Siren's Shore and the Whi Forest in Amies. Her father was the village doctor, and her mother a local herbalist who had extensive knowledge of the plant life of Amies and Helena. Growing up she got plenty of practice in patching up cuts and scrapes at a young age, on both her brothers and their friends. As she got older, her mother realized that Camille seemed to have a talent with the recognition and differentiation of many of the herbs that had toxic look alikes when they would go out and collect ingredients for medicines.

By the time Camille turned 19, neither of her brothers had displayed any real interest in either of their parent's professions and instead went out on their own for several years. In those years, Camille really began to focus on studying herbology under her mother's watchful eye. She was content for the most part, but despite this, the longer that Camille remained in the village, the more restless she became. Nonetheless, she threw herself into her studies and within a year and a half, both of her parents trusted her abilities enough to allow her to make some of the medicinal remedies her father prescribed to his patients.

After Camille has turned 22, they received a letter from Helena, the eldest Rhodite son, Noel, had met and fallen in love with a woman from there. The letter stated that the couple had eloped and were expecting their first child relatively soon. Camille was surprised, but her shock was nothing next to that of her parent's. Her mother fluctuated between incredulity over not even hearing anything about her new daughter in law until now, and incandescent joy over the prospect that she would soon be a grandmother. Camille recognized this as an opportunity to both leave the village and possibly enrich her knowledge. She informed her parents of her intention to travel and meet up with her elder brother, and was surprised when they seemed to take the news in stride.

She arrived in Helena just days before her niece was born. She stayed for an additional month with her brother and new sister in law, occasionally helping care for her newborn niece before departing to travel back to Amies. On her way home, she realized that one of the villages close to the border of the Whi forest seemed to import their medicines from the large city of Aimes, and upon closer investigation realized that she could make a good number of the medicines herself with local flora. Camille was shocked when she found out the price of the medicine to be bought and then transported the distance to the village, and immediately offered her services to the local doctor. The man was skeptical at first of the proclaimed abilities of this young girl, but when she came back several days later with samples of the medicinal remedies she was capable of producing, he quickly took her up on her offer to help.

Camille briefly returned to her home village to collect some of her personal belongings and also inform her parents about her new job and ensure that they had received the letter Noel had sent from Helena about his new daughter. Her parents, again, took the news of their youngest child leaving rather well. They even sent her off with a decent chunk of money as a gift. Upon returning to the other village, she discovered that a small cottage near the edge of the forest was for sale at a relatively low price. She wasted little time in purchasing it, and tentatively began to settle in. It took some time for Camille to grow accustomed to her new life in the village along with fixing up the small cottage, but she slowly but surely managed to settle comfortably into the village. Every so often her other elder brother, Emmet, would drop by to catch up with her as well, before departing just as suddenly as he appeared.

Name: Havain Virrea (Vain or Havi)
Age: 21, April 24
Gender: Male
Description:Close to BedtimeStand AloneSeductionMany Emotions
Standing at 6'1" and weighing in at 200 pounds, Havain is an average sized male. He is strong, but he doesn't work out to the point of him looking overly buff. Shirtless, he would look as though he has the start of a six pack, but he doesn't work out enough to have definition. (( I realize he's 'elven' but he doesn't have power of any sort, and we can just pretend to snip his ears xD ))

Personality: Despite his nickname, Vain is a very kind soul. His life revolves around those he loves, even if they don't love him in return. He is rather reserved at first meeting; but once you become his friend, he opens up like a book and thoughts flow quite freely, almost to a fault. He's almost too honest once in a while. He will tell you if something about you bothers him or how he feels about a subject being discussed, no matter the consequences. Though, if he realizes that something he says hurts someone, he is quick to apologize. The word "IF" is the key there. He isn't the brightest crayon in the box, and there are many things that don't truly make sense to him. Being this sort of 'ditzy' character is just a part of his personality. Being explicitly told that something is wrong or hurtful is the best way to really get through to him.

His fashion sense obviously says that he likes to be quite original and quirky. He doesn't like to hide behind a mask or try and put on a facade. He wears his emotions on his sleeve and everyone can tell when he's truly happy or sad. Even when he fakes the happiness, or tries to, people who know him can tell it's just not the real him and if approached about the actions, he will oftentimes try and deny ever feeling that negative emotion.

Havain is easily excitable, loving most aspects of life. He always tries to be so happy and hyper that some people almost find him to be an annoyance. He kind of acts like a child himself now and again. He never throws a tantrum like a child, but his actions will prove to be very innocent like one. Most of the time he will takes things literally like a child does. Joking with Havain is much more hassle than it is fun. Sure, he can be fun to joke around with, but most people end up making him the 'butt' of all the jokes, and he will laugh along right with them only because he doesn't understand what's going on. Sometimes he will understand, and if he does, and he feels offended by a comment someone's made, he may tear up right there or end up telling that person exactly how he feels.

Vain doesn't really consider anger to be 'anger' he considers it to be 'sadness'. He doesn't truly get angry, instead, his anger turns into a sadness that he says he can just cry away. When someone wrongs him, he is easily able to forgive if they apologize, but will be quite weary of that person if a similar situation arises. He will hold grudges versus those who wrong him and who give no remorse for their actions. It's kind of like the rule of thumb for him, "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me." He lives by that quote quite often. If he is burned one too many times by the same person, he tries to avoid them at all costs and will not be afraid to tell them how he feels about them should they ask or feel the need to continuously be a bother to him.

Havain likes food, spending time with loved ones, being around good people, his memories, and his golden ribbon while he dislikes negativity and the people who associate with it, when people are angry or annoyed with him, and when he is alone for too long.

History: Havain was the miracle child of an elderly couple who had wanted children all of their lives, but were told they couldn't have any. His parents were rich with wisdom and money was always available. He didn't have a want in the world. After his first year, his father died of sickness combined with an elderly age. Ever since, Vain grew up with only a mother to love him and a couple of servants to help him in a large, empty house.

He was kept secluded from the outside world because his mother was fearful of sickness and disease. This seclusion went on for years even though he had always wanted to venture out. When it was normally time for the children to go to school, he would get a private tutor to help him through. Though, with the neglect of physical contact with other children and not being able to have that normal childhood, Havain grew to be respectful and loving towards all, a very innocent boy.

When that boy became a man, his mother also died, leaving him the mansion and the possessions. But that wasn't what he wanted. He wanted love and to be able to live life away from the mansion. He sold everything and took what money he made, and left for a secluded place. He found a cottage on the outskirts of town and bought it. Ever since, he has lived there happily, waiting for something exciting to happen and trying his best to make friends with whoever he can.

Name: Henry Knight
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Description: Shapely and set with emerald-green eyes, Henry’s face is framed by lovely dark brown, well kempt hair, cut semi-short and choppy accompanied by his tidy soul-patch. He is tall and athletically built, but generally tends to hide his body with slightly loose and appropriate clothing. Henry’s Sun-kissed skin is a result from being outside during his free time. Overall, his appearance is rather simple and he likes to keep it this way.

Personality: Henry is fun loving and always eager to help, children and animals being his weak points. He would do anything he could to make other comfortable and content. He loves to be in the sun and play, whether it be sports or otherwise. Henry is very together, keeping a neat appearance and a clean home. A bit clueless in the ways of flirting, he isn’t much of a lady’s man and doesn’t necessarily know how to “pick up chicks.” Either way, if he isn’t busy at work he’s outside exercising or playing, so for the most part he doesn’t even notice. Still, he wants to have children one day and is a bit worried about ever finding a wife while in his “prime.”

History: Henry grew up in a normal family setting; parents still together and one sibling. The family moved to Aimes after he had turned twelve, in search of a bigger house and a lovely area for his younger siblings to grow up in. His love for nursing and helping others sparked when he was young; after his brother got ill, he did whatever he possibly could to help him. Baseball became a favorite sport of his once they had moved, resulting in him spending a lot of time outside. Being with other people became easy for him and he enjoyed all types of social gatherings. Henry never had much luck with women. His first relationship was at the age of eighteen and only lasted a few months. Realizing that he himself wanted children one day, at the age of nineteen, he began volunteering at the local children's hospital. He began taking courses for nursing and psychology not long after graduating high school. As soon as he graduated college at his current age, he acquired a job as a therapist's assistant. His mother and father still live in Aimes, on the farther side, but his brother left home to live his own life. Their parents were worried, but Henry understood the need to get out and agreed with his decision. Both sons visit their parents regularly.

Name: Eli Haddock
Age: 32/September 23
Gender: Male
Description: Eli pretty much towers over most people. He's 6'5" with a big, slightly lopsided grin to go with his lopsided nose (broken, once, his only tavern fight). He tries to slick back his black hair but it keeps wildly going on and at least one bit of hair will always fall forward over his bushy brows. When his hair gets a little long, it curls right at his collar and aggravates him immensely. His ale-brown eyes have a bit of a hawkish squint to them, possibly because he stares at numbers all day long. Despite this, he doesn't wear glasses. He thinks he doesn't really need them anyway.
Even though he has a fairly sedentary job, Eli is not flabby. He walks and jogs in the woods or on the beach quite often. He has lean muscles from where his father used to make him help with house expansions back home. {and boy, oh boy, his father never got tired of adding to the family home)
Eli, while he might never be considered on the edge of fashion, is a rather well-dressed gentleman when he's working or venturing outside. He prefers green clothing and vests with a white, high collared shirt underneath. Outside of that, he just lounges around in whatever's comfy and clean. He dislikes wearing a shirt while at home.

Personality:
gregarious | organized | distracted

Eli is a very sociable man. He likes talking with anyone who comes by and often seek out interaction. Humans are fickle creatures, Eli knows this, and he hates that fickleness, that lack of steadfastness. Why isn't there someone out there like a number: never-changing, constant? When Eli gets downhearted by the people around him or lack thereof, numbers are there. 2 + 2 is always four, and sometimes he clings to that truth like it's his only rock against the tide of despair.
His heart's been broken so many times; Eli likes to believe he's built an impenetrable wall around it, but he's weak. There's no wall. Eli is as open to hurting as he ever was, perhaps slightly more cynical about it. He's a very open man, and finds it difficult to keep secrets or build barriers between him and others.
As such, he finds it very easy to make friends, but not keep them. Keeping friends and lovers is an effort he's still unfamiliar with. If someone had ever drawn him in like his work did, then maybe. But it's so easy to put people by the wayside until he needs them again.

History:
◆ Born in Faleen.
◆ Has mom, dad, younger sister (she goes to school for smart kids in Faleen).
◆ mom a strong pusher that he get married and continue the family line.
◆ Moved to Helena, extended family live there.
◆ Had many girlfriends. Got cheated on in a serious relationship.
◆ Moved to Aimes.
◆ Found a job doing accounting part-time at a few different places, does carpentry on the side.
◆ Lives along Siren's Shore, near Deith forest

Born and raised there, Eli will always remember Faleen with fondness. He had a fairly uneventful childhood, although his parents (Henry and Stasia) despaired that he never had an aptitude for anything but numbers and building. Eli's parents were loving and attentive to their children. Although they had an arranged marriage, his mother and father actually fell in love. Despite trying for years, they only had one other child, Angharad. Eli's father often pulled him away from his lovely numbers to help build on the ever expanding house. However, when Eli grew, he joined his father's company as an accountant.
As soon as Eli was old enough to look at girls, his mother began thrusting girl after girl at him. She only wanted the best for him, though. And if her and her husband had found love, why shouldn't Eli? He was more likely to find that love if he had a lot of options, right?
Girlfriend count: 2
When Eli turned 25, his mother contrived to have him sent to her homeland, Helena. Ah, Helena, where everyone can find true love. His father aided his mother in moving him out by transferring him to the company branch in Helena. Henry could never resist his pretty little wife.
In Helena, Eli lived an average life, picking up carving as a hobby. He continued to pursue girls, both a habit ingrained in him by his mother and.. well, Eli really did want the happiness his parents had. His height and outgoing personality made it easy for him to find girls, but he could never keep them. Often, he would become engrossed in work and ignore his lover of the moment for so long that she dumped him. His last relationship had lasted for a year before Eli discovered her perfidious ways: she was cheating on him with his co-worker. When confronted, she claimed he would have noticed long before if he'd only taken his eyes off of his numbers to look at her. Disgusted with both himself and his ex, Eli decided it was time to move on.
Girlfriend count: 11
He chose Aimes almost on a whim. While in Helena, he missed the sound of the sea and the towering forests. Here, he could have both and live up the rest of his alone, like he deserved to be. Eli settled in a nice cottage along Siren's Shore, not far from the Deith forest. He easily found a job working for a tavern doing the bookkeeping. On his off days, he whittles and makes furniture.
After his move, Eli decided to swear off women for the time being, but he can't quite give of the idea of the ultimate happiness shared by two people. Dejected and lonely, he debated getting a fish for some company at least. Fortunately for him, he found Kieran first.

Family:

Henry - (58) Married Stasia when he was 24 in an arranged marriage. Henry's father held much train stock and owned the largest train-wheel manufacturing company. This was all passed down to Henry when he was 30, when his father passed, leaving him without blood relatives.

Stasia - (50) Her family hails from Helena and are grain transporters. In exchange for her hand, the Haddock family bequeathed Stasia's father with some of their train stock. Stasia took Eli and Angharad occasionally to Helena to visit her family.

Angharad - (20) Eli's little sister is very bright and was sent to the northern island of Faleen at the age of 12 to study. She's a bit tomboyish, but Stasia hoped school would instill some ladylike qualities. Eli sometimes writes Angharad letters, generally if she writes one first.

Even though she is a workaholic she is also absent minded and tends to forget a lot of things, time being the biggest thing. She is very conservative when it comes to the clothes she wears. She will not wear anything that shows off too much skin when she is out in public or even in her own home. She is also conservative in nature as she try not to harm any living thing or destroy any part of nature, be it flowers or the trees. She even takes measures to preserve the flowers in her shop till they are sold. Eva is a bookworm and can easily get lost in a good book when time permits, Eva liked flowers, raining weather, sunshine, mild temperatures, Spring, and Autumn. She dislikes extreme heat, extreme cold, summer, winter, and fire.
She enjoys reading, walks in the forest, gardening, swing and the beach.

History: Born in the floating city to a fisherman and his wife, a shop keeper, she was raised in a small quaint country style home. She spent a lot of time in her mothers shop, which was a general store and sold many different items. She didn't have the easiest time growing up but her parents tried to give her the best they could. Even thought it cost a lot, they sent her away to Faleen to go to school when she was five as they wanted her to have a better life and education than they did. They had saved up the money from a time before she was born for her parents knew that they wanted their child to do well in life and have a better education. Her father is a very successful fisherman and her mother's shop, being one of a select few of general stores, was doing well as well and brought in quite a bit of money.

In Faleen, Eva was set up in an all girls boarding school. She really didn't want to go but wasn't left with much choice. Her parents and paid hard earned money for her to be well educated and left with a bag of clothes and a few possessions. Once at her new home she stayed mostly to herself, concentrating on her classes and studying. She played outside when she was allowed or when she had free time but even then she played by herself. She found it very hard to make friends and felt she was better off without them.

Over the years she discovered her love of reading and spent a lot of time in the library. by this time she had a few friends and they were just like her. She studied with them and they were even roommates so Eva didn't have to put up with someone who was noisy and prevented her from her studies. She wrote to her parents on a weekly basis. She received gifts on her birthday from them and she waited for the day she would be allowed to see them again.

The years that followed passed quickly and she picked up gardening as a hobby along with reading about botany and flowers of all kinds. She started a garden club when she was in high school and had garden parties on the weekends. Only those she deemed worthy were invited to the party. Her Garden parties consisted of tea, finger sandwiches and talking. It was just a little get together with her friends and those she chose to invite from the club and school.

On graduation day, Eva was so happy to finally be done with school and head home. She made her way to the auditorium where she received her diploma and finally got to see her parents again. It was a very happy reunion and they were proud of her. The three of them returned to the floating city and she attended a local college and majored in Botany. She helped around her mothers shop when she had no classes and finished her class work.

When she finished school she left the floating city for the main city. She heard that there was a nice house for sale and her parents helped her buy it and the shop she wished to own. Eva had saved money while she worked in her mothers shop for the house and the store. Her parents had fronted the rest of the money to her from their savings and Eva promised to pay them back over time as she earned money. The shop was in the center of the city while her home was quite a distance from the city in a quiet, remote area. It was just what she wanted. Now Eva has her flower shop and her own home. She has everything she's ever wanted up to this point in her life. A relationship is not something she seeks right now, but maybe one day. Eva is currently paying her parents back over time and she still has enough to
support herself and pay the staff the work at her house.

Gwendolyn Barrett

Approved! Though I just have to say I'm also slightly wary that she's still real young and has all these things? Though I understand she is still paying her parents back. But all their jobs aren't exactly money makers? Just something to think about or fix a little.

Personality:

Garrick Brambleclove is just about the most gruff, disagreeable man you could ever have the honor of shaking hands with. He's surly, unfiltered and doesn't like to beat around the bush during conversation. If he doesn't like you, you'll find out pretty quickly, he's about as opinionated and blunt as they come. This weak-backed tutor moves at his own damn pace, and if you dare to hurry him along, you'd best know how to duck from a swinging cane. While he is fully capable of controlling his temper, he prefers to let his emotions fly out into the world around him without an anchor to reel them back in. He gets an odd feeling of satisfaction from the reactions people give him after a good rant or two. It's one of his only sources of amusement.

With irritability and crudeness aside, Garrick is a rather simplistic, low maintenance man. He likes his rituals, his daily cup of coffee, his favorite book, and a good shot of brandy or two in the evening to help him sleep. He doesn't fret much over the state of his hair or his clothing, and you can be assured that he could care less about how you look on any given day. As an accomplished tutor, Garrick values the mind and what it can accomplish rather than how much money you make and where you get your hair done. Idle gossip bores him into a glazed over state, or if you're ever so lucky, directly into the realm of sarcastic comments and gestures. If you really want to get him talking, without fear of disrupting his good mood, picking topics about nature, education or antiques would be the best bet. You can engage Garrick in meaningful discussions, as long as you don't start trying to sell him something, he has a strong distaste for unwanted salesmen. Even if you're selling something he has interest in, it's always best to ask him permission before you make your sales pitch.

While he may not care too much for the appearance of himself or others, Garrick has a degree of pride for the stasis of his home and property. After working tirelessly for years as a tutor to afford his lovely fruit orchard homestead, he doesn't like to leave it neglected for too long. You'll often see him cutting the grass or picking fruit from the trees to keep his yard from becoming overgrown. His house is almost always clean and decorated nicely, something you wouldn't necessarily expect from a man with tied back unkempt hair and rough personality. He tends to be more welcoming and humorous when he's in the comfort of his own home, which is a nice surprise to those who stop over for dinner or come by for a tutoring session, but it's uncertain if this is because he's comfortable, because he has direct control over the environment, or if it's because he knows he can kick you out at any moment and not have to deal with any repercussions. Whatever it is, it's best to take his "hospitality" as a treat, because you may not catch him being this nice anywhere else in the world.

- Relics, antiques
- Sleeping, resting

- Plums
- Being ignored
- Losing his cane, having his cane moved
- The absence of brandy or coffee
- Salesmen, Mormons coming to his door
- Preachy people

- Reggie (When he's in a bad mood)
- Overprotective or coddling parents

History:

Garrick Isaac Brambleclove was born in the region of Helena to a very happy, but older couple. He was the third born in a family of five children, three girls and two boys, and was the only child to develop a love of learning rather than be content with the farming life he had been born into. He and his parents often butted heads about his "priorities", which to him meant leaving his intelligence to rot while he sowed the wheat on the farm. His hatred of farming extended up into his early teens until his mother's brother dropped by for an unexpected visit. His uncle was a scholar and an accomplished tutor from Faleen, which astounded young Garrick, he couldn't believe that he was related to such an intelligent person. That night, Garrick pleaded with his uncle to take him back to Faleen and tutor him, despite the lack of support from his parents. To his joy, his uncle agreed to tutor him and, the next weekend, he was on his way up to Faleen.

The trip had taken them ages but Garrick knew that it would be worth it in the end. Once situated in Faleen his uncle developed a rigorous routine of subjects and daily chores for him to complete during his stay, which Garrick took very seriously. He had longed for a chance to prove his intelligence ever since his parents first denied his request to seek higher education, and as the weeks rolled on, he was given the praise and feedback he so desperately craved. It was months later that his uncle would pat him on the head and introduce him to one of the very best tutors and educators that ever taught on the island of Faleen. He was being passed on upwards to a more adequate tutor and Garrick was more than ready to continue his journey.

Months turned into years and those years accumulated into a decade or more before he reached the end of his schooling and transitioned into the very role that had made the whole entire trip possible, the role of the tutor. Now a young man with white stubble growing upon his face, Garrick left Faleen with a higher sense of self and a mind filled to the brim with information. He had received letters from his home in Helena almost every weekend, usually from the desk of his brother, Thomas. But as he approached his childhood abode, he was greeted by the faces of a different family, one that was certainly not his own. He was told that his parents had died the previous year and all that was left over was given to their children, who had all gone and moved away. Garrick became distraught and left the property with a heavy heart. He hadn't received a letter from Thomas about their deaths, nor did he receive anything from their wills. More so, all efforts to contact his siblings either fell on deaf ears or were returned with spite. Garrick's family had all but disowned him when he left for Faleen, and there was nothing he could do to change it.

Over the next year or so Garrick rented a small house in Helena while he tried to reconnect with former friends. The family that he rented from, called the Turants, were very kindly to him and offered him all the love he could ask for. They had a lovely daughter, named Daisy Marie, who he fell head over heels for. After two years of wooing, courting and gift giving, Garrick finally asked Daisy's father for permission to marry his daughter. The happy couple were married in the middle of July, one month shy of the birth of Jonathan, Garrick's eldest child.

Nineteen years later, the Brambleclove family had moved to the region of Amies to be closer to where Daisy chose to work, the capital city of Aimes. Though they weren't a short walk away from the city, the family was very happy with the property that Garrick had chosen. After a much needed reunion with his siblings, Garrick was given a share of his parent's wealth, which Thomas had held onto for him. Combined with the money that he made tutoring, Garrick was able to buy a lovely, spacious property on a fruit orchard. It was lovingly dubbed "Brambleclove Farms" and earned the approval of all of the children. It had enough room to run in, grow in and play in, which was a big plus. Garrick was assured that everything would be in the clear for many years to come if they kept their little farm running during the peek fruit buying season while he tutored the many young men and women that come through their gates everyday. Life was a splendid as fresh apple cider.

Then, less than a year later, tragedy struck. The carriage that took Daisy to work in the city had crashed into a river and buried her under the wreckage, drowning her in the waters below. Garrick had been in the middle of a tutoring session when the telegraph arrived, and he broke down in tears. All of his dreams of growing old with the love of his life were smashed to pieces. While he waited for her body to be brought home for burial he couldn't bring himself to tell his daughter, Natalie Rose, about what happened. Though she was physically a teenager, she had the mental capabilities of a ten year old. Worse than that, she was still as innocent as a small child. But as they said their final farewells, all of his children broke down in sobs, and he, too, soon followed.

There were a few months of quiet in the household before Garrick felt the need to honor one of his wife's greatest wishes. He went down to a local orphanage and spent time with as many children as possible. Finally, a ten year old, red headed tomboy named Piper captured his heart, and the papers were signed. She was the perfect addition to the family after such a gutting tragedy and everyone, even the "perfect lady" Maisie, agreed. Piper was very much like Daisy, given that she was ever a tomboy, and Garrick knew that his wife would have been enamored with the girl just as he had been. Two years later, the family had began to form a steady routine again. With Maisie away studying etiquette with her grandmother and the addition of Daisy's brother, Roger, and his family's loving smiles popping up all around the property, a lulling calm has returned to the property.

But...

How long will this calm last?

Family:

Daisy: Wife; 46; Deceased Born Daisy Marie Turant, Daisy was the sweetheart of the Brambleclove household. Her kind heart and mothering touch was always something that Garrick looked forward to everyday when he came home. She died in an accident while traveling to the capital city of Aimes. The horses on her carriage were spooked and went berserk, landing the carriage in a river where Daisy drowned under the wreckage. She's buried on the Brambleclove orchard where her favorite pear trees used to stand.

Johnathan: Son; 22 Jonathan Brambleclove was born in the midst of a unusually hot summer day, which Garrick says is what caused him to become so damn lazy. Though well out of his teen years, John Boy, as his father calls him, hasn't made any effort to move out and get a job since he finished his schooling. He's a regular sweet talking moocher, says his father. You'll often see him out by the apple trees, snacking away on the pick of the crop like a greedy pig.

Maisie Daughter; 18 Unlike Jonathan, Maisie was born in the dead of winter, and grew to be as hard headed and strict as could be. As soon as she could talk, Maisie was handing out orders and taking down the names of those who "disobeyed" for "further notice." Mommy and daddy could barely keep up with their little tattle tale and were more than relieved when she packed her things and left to study etiquette with her maternal grandmother at 16. And when she returned for the holidays, she brought a list of "issues" for her family to "correct." Needless to say, Garrick was more than happy to wave his "little girl" good bye at the end of that month.

Natalie Rose: Daughter; 16 Natty Rose, as her doting daddy calls her, was born with a mental handicap that gives her the developmental age of a 10 year old girl. At the time of her birth there didn't appear to be a problem, but once she hit her early teens, clearly something just wasn't right. Her doctors recommended placing her in a mental hospital or even giving her up for adoption, but Daisy and Garrick couldn't give up on their precious baby girl. She was, and is still, as sweet and inquisitive as a child and her parents couldn't imagine their life without her. She can be found swinging on the rope swings near the lake or playing with her dolls in her bedroom.

Piper: Daughter; 12 The youngest of the Brambleclove family, and the only other adopted child! (Besides Reggie) Piper is the tomboy of the brood and always trying to butt in on her father's business. She was adopted when she was ten, shortly after Daisy had passed, and quickly latched herself onto her new father, "baby sister" Natty, and lazy older brother John Boy. Though she admits she loves Maisie, too, it's a struggle for the pair to get along when one likes wearing overalls and getting dirty and the other despises dirt and promotes "proper lady attire."

Roger: Brother-In-Law; 44 Roger David Turant is the perfect picture of what a crazy uncle should be. He brings over all the latest toys, offers ice cream to everyone and always has a joke book ready to go. Admittedly, Garrick finds him a bit bothersome, but the two get along rather swimmingly. When Daisy passed away, Roger took it upon himself to move closer to his brother-in-law and his nieces and nephew. Ever since then, Roger is a common sight on weekends and often drops by for dinner when Garrick least expects it. He probably won't admit it, but Garrick greatly appreciates Roger's kindness and love.

Dolly: Roger's wife; 44 Born Dolly Jean Braidbaum, Dolly was the perfect addition to the Turant family, and eventually, the Brambleclove as well. Dolly can be rather sporadic and clumsy, but that doesn't stop her from being one of the best friends a person can have. She's known as Mrs. Fix It because once she has a wrench and a problem to tend to, she won't stop working until the issue is resolved. She loves to follow Roger over to Garrick's house for dinner when she isn't off with her friends or helping someone out with their problems.

Oswald: Roger's son; 13 Ozzie Turant is the shy, skittish son of Dolly and Roger Turant, our simply Garrick's nephew. He's a very quiet child with little complaints about where he is or what he's doing. He stops by the house to study or play games with Piper and Natalie when the weather permits.

William: Roger's son; 4 Little Willie Turant has trouble keeping up with the rest of his family, mostly because of his partial blindness. But the tyke makes up for his lack of sight with his nosy, giggly demeanor. Garrick often laughs and says that he'll turn out just like his father one day if he keeps trying to read his father's joke books upside down.

Beatrix: Roger's daughter; 9 months Beatrix Turant was born nine months ago while her parents were out on a morning walk. While her time of birth was quite a surprise, the baby herself is actually mellow and even tempered. Garrick hopes and prays that she remains that way...

Floss, Dover, and Pace: Garrick keeps three pets that he holds very near and dear. Floss is an elderly female Collie with a loyal, sweet disposition. The family has had her since they moved in before Jonathan was born. Dover is a young male Ferret that popped up on the property and "assumed" the pet status after being fed and let inside the home. He's a sneaky little bugger that likes to steal the food off of your plate. Finally, Pace is your typical mix breed cat, he lays around on the floor and sleeps most of the day away. Sometimes, if you pick him up off the floor, he curls up in your arms and lets you cradle him like a baby.

Residence:

The Brambleclove family lives in a good sized home on a spacious fruit orchard in the region of Amies. Though it once held massive rows of apple, orange and pear trees, there are some areas that have been cleared or sold for the purpose of creating space for vegetable gardens, sheds and, sadly, graves for those who have passed in the family. Garrick still maintains his property and sells his fruit when he has surplus, but most of the time he has just enough for his family to eat on their own. At the end of the property there is a small lake that is open to swimming in the summer and a rope swing or two to play on.

Name: Dr. Magnolia Henrietta Kaufman
Age: 25, January 22nd
Gender: Female
Description: Magnolia is fair and less than dainty. Starting with her face, sweet and endearingly crooked. Her smile is never far from her face, a single dimple pulling at her cheeks. Freckles dust her cheeks, falling under the light but noticeable bags beneath her always bright, muddy-hazel eyes. Her hair falls in curls to her shoulders, something that could be brilliant gold- unruly due to mild neglect, keeping her from being any where near perfect. Not a true beauty, but close. She’s of a moderate stature, her crown barely exceeding 5’5” in height and 150 lbs, her limbs not of a delicate frame but slightly more full.
She eats healthy enough, however one critical fact keeps her from the athletic form she purses her lips at. Her skin is very delicate- rued with a hereditary disease. Friction makes her skin blister quicker than most. A walk of nearly 2 miles would have her off her feet for days while the sores drain. Mechanical friction is her worst enemy resulting in a more laid back lifestyle- evident in her appearance. She is a lady but not a dame; she has elegance but not slim fingers and cares not for the practices of tea pouring anyway.

‘As Played By Reference’: [Greta Salpeter] [1] [2] [3]

Personality: Magnolia is of an analytical mind. Her world is composed of science and she graces each experience like an experiment. She’s intelligent and driven to a fault. Due to her physical limitations she throws herself into her work and finds meaningful ways to make the simple things in her life soothe her scattered mind. She isn’t very active and this leads her to a more bookish lifestyle and heightens passions that would otherwise seem a waste of time. The heavens have always called to her, each ball of light, shimmering in a place where she wouldn’t feel pain. Hundreds of planets and systems, stars living and dying- it was an easy decision where her passions and her father’s money would be put to good work. She’s driven, reaching a doctorate in astrology and physics in record time. The beaming smile on her face, and her emotion when she speaks of her studies- her work is her only love.

Of the 16 personalities - Magnolia falls straight into the INTJ portrait. Magnolia knew nothing but love of her father and a world with limitless opportunities, she is strong minded and finds herself completely comfortable in her own skin. She believes that she can control her environment and needs to have her ‘world’ running smoothly and systematically. She values honesty, respects laws and traditions and has the expectation that her peers share a similar view. This isn’t to say she is closed minded she just outright chooses to make the best outcome. She doesn’t attack an opposing stance so much as doesn’t comprehend and cannot understand and will smile dumbly, single dimple quirking as she tries to navigate the complexities of dealing with other people. Her world is built on facts derived from observation, logic and direct sensory stimulation. She is quick to express her thoughts and a judgment in a situation forwardly however was granted with a finely tuned filter. When hitting one of these ‘misunderstanding’ ruts with Magnolia, it is best to explain in absolute terms or it will be lost to her and she’ll move on to a different train of thought.

Emotionally she tends to be overly detail oriented and doesn’t quite recognize the depths of what emotions carry. This isn’t to say she doesn’t hold emotions- she may in fact express her emotions more readily than one of her peers- if laughter elicits a good feeling- she will laugh. However, she not deals with the other side of the coin. Anxiety, depression and sadness all carry bad feelings with them and thus she will avoid the root causes of the emotions that make her feel less than ‘good’. Instead of dealing with a problem head on, she will avoid it and try to bring the good feelings back. Hot cocoa on a cold day, drawing faces in the fog, kissing a stranger. Due to her lack of understanding, wanting the world to fit into tiny boxes, she enjoys the simple pleasures above all else. This gives her a happy go lucky exterior and she’d sooner dance barefoot through a lecture hall than mope in her bedroom. When emotions can’t turn ‘good’ she turns to her work and immerses herself as a happy distraction.

As an overly logical being, Magnolia puts forth full effort in everything she chooses to conquer- however it has to be something that aligns with her goals otherwise she will put that task on the backburner and ‘forget’ about it. Due to this it is easy to neglect much in her life- friends and potential relationships. In short she’s a loose canon with a target.

History:
-Born to Henry Maelstrom Kaufman and late Wendlyn Maria Kaufman [nee Patsy]. Henry is a robust man and retired inventor at a young age. In a stroke of genius, Henry was able to easily manufacture a self-lubricating material for the pistons used in the steam engines. With the industry booming, his product was highly sought and he was able to retire at an early age to settle his family in Faleen.

-Wendlyn carried and exhibited the gene for Epidermolysis Bullosa and passed it to her only daughter. She passed when Magnolia entered her 3rd year of education due to an infection of the heart.

-Magnolia is very much a ‘daddy’s girl’ and has lived a very sheltered life due to the nature of her father needing to spoil his princess. She was interested only in inventions and the heavens- the best schools and the finest education were required for his daughter. He still dutifully supports his daughter and she is not ungrateful for his care and charm.

-Magnolia, while maintaining the intelligence to exceed her peers stayed with her age group through her education in order to ‘adapt socially’. She graduated with top marks in the ‘astrophysics’ equivalent doctoral program. She continues her studies in Aimes- traveling back home to Faleen weekly to visit her father and work in her department.

-Her passion for education is continued as she gives guest lectures and colloquiums on her studies, to stay in the good graces of the educational community, weekly. She also loves lecturing to the younger grades, hoping to invite children to her passion and allow them to see how open their educational careers can be.

theLimeTree
Faleen may be quite far to travel weekly. But visiting once in a while would probably be better though 0:

Name: Seraphine Corinth
Age: 25, July 6
Gender: Female
Description: Seraphine is about 5'11" tall, quite tall for your average, girl. She is lanky and thin; she has no womanly curves to speak of, yet. She is hoping they will grow in sometime soon, even if those chances are slim. Seraphine has bright red hair, that curls and frizzes quite easily. Due to this she keeps it quite short, just above her ears. She has bright green eyes and freckles covering her whole body. She is quite pale, and burns easily from the sun, even with her years of farming experience she has developed no tan whatsoever. This displeases Serpahine quite thoroughly. Seraphine just has her ears pierced, she has no tattoos, although occasionally she does love wearing henna. Seraphine wears your average farmer clothes. A loose tunic, with a belt, and cotton pants. She is rarely seen wearing skirts or frilly dresses. She tends to wear flat sandals for work purposes. Seraphine has a petite nose and thin lips which appear even thinner since she smiles often and slightly large almond shaped eyes. If it weren't for her boyish and fiery demeanor she would have been wed long ago. Seraphine is strong and has well defined muscle definition, her hands are rough from years of hard work and there is a certain grace to her limber appearance. She walks a fast determined stride, powerful like her grip and her voice. her voice is slightly high pitched for someone so boyish.

Personality: Fiery, demanding, obstinate, head-strong, passionate are just a few words that would be used to describe Seraphine. She was born into a life of a farmer, and she takes pride in her work. She is a hard working individual who mothers anyone she considers a friend. She is aggressive and often times gets into fights with people and arguments because she is quite stubborn and angers easily. Seraphine is quick to apologize when she is the wrong, but she rarely believes she is in the wrong. Call it her ever growing pride. Seraphine is loyal to her family and friends or those she considers family and friends. She is willing to do what ever it takes to help them. Seraphine loves cooking and farming, she takes pride in sowing the earth and is very grounded because of it. She does not need more in her life than she already has, she is quite content. Seraphine is practical and rarely sees herself as a beautiful feminine woman. Seraphine tends to talk out of turn, acts like a male, and believes she can do anything a man can do. Seraphine loves the simple things in life such as sweet mangoes, and crisp summer rain. She hates people that challenge her and she never backs down once she is challenged or sets her mind to something. Seraphine doesn't like fire, she once received quite a nasty burn from it. Seraphine hates fancy and frilly dresses, she sees no point in such luxuries and feel they are waste of resources. Seraphine does not tolerate waste well, she is far too caring to see people suffering and see others wasting lavishly. Seraphine tends to be very outgoing and never shy's from any situation or shows fear. Seraphine doesn't cry easily and therefore has a hard time letting anyone in or sharing her personal emotions. Seraphine tends to take any mating rituals as foolish, since she has such low self esteem she doesn't think anyone could love her or be attracted to her. Although she would never admit this. Seraphine is an independent strong woman living in an era and a time where she is supposed a sweet charming lady and struggles with this prejudice daily. Seraphine is witty and often has a sarcastic or snippy comment to any remark. She rarely uses proper language and if often cursing like a sailor. Seraphine is smart and although doesn't appear so has had a formal education and knows how to read and write.

History:Seraphine hails from Helena. Her parents are wealthy wheat farmers. Seraphine was the youngest daughter of five daughters. Seraphine showed less enthusiasm for sewing and music class than her sisters. She was always the odd ball out preferring not to wear dresses or let the servants do her tasks for her. She was much more interested in her father's farming and bookkeeping. It wasn't long before she convinced her father to let her take more "practical" classes. Seraphine was raised like the son her father never had. Seraphine became the brother her sisters never had; and her mother reluctantly agreed to this new found role because her husband and daughter seemed content. Seraphine watched her sisters become proper ladies and were wed off to respectable rich farmers. But Seraphine stayed, never interested in men or courting. When she was sixteen her father passed away and she took over her father's farmer. Seraphine has been running it ever since. Her mother died a year later when Seraphine was seventeen from grief for her beloved husband. Seraphine is currently unwed and a virgin, she has tried to have sexual interactions; but she always angers half way through the process and storms out cursing the incompetent men. Seraphine only longs for one thing currently, a child. She wishes to wed only to have a child. But as of right now, she runs her father's farm, now it being her farm; and there are no future marriage or child prospects on the horizon. Seraphine prefers a more hands on approach on her farm. She tends to walk through her farm, working along side her workers, and tilling and seeding, and harvesting with them. She does still run the books and keeps the business side going.

{Sorry her history is so short, but a farmers life is not that exciting, I wanted to focus more on her personality and character than her history, especially since I had a word limit for the history.}

Name: Sunarine Everel
Age: 23 February 9th
Gender: Female

Description: She has bright red hair and hazel eyes that change color to match what she's wearing (It sounds outrageous but I physically have them in reality they just show the color your wearing better than other colors aka when she wears green they appear to be more green though they really haven't changed) She dresses in her class clothes from when she was a student at the academicos.

Personality: Very Intelligent Sunarine has a tendency to take things very literally. She's also very emotional as well making her a time bomb ready to explode if you say the wrong thing to her. She loves learning above all else and decided from a young age that she wanted to become either a teacher or a tutor. She settled on Tutor for the simple fact that she gets to work with one child at a time and she was also able to settle in Falleen close to her university. She likes to take brisk walks to get herself moving in the morning and allow her to see and speak to all of the people that she has a chance to before she gets wrapped up in tutoring. Regardless of her high strung nature she is a people person and is very unhappy when alone. When she isn't teaching at the moment she becomes truly lonely and longs for some form of companionship.

History: Her mother was a hairdresser from a wealthy family who met her father in Helena when he came looking for love. She married him soon the same year and within a fortnight she was pregnant with their first child a boy. Sunarine was born soon after her brother's 6th birthday and her father at the time was working as a carpenter in the town. She always wanted to know MORE. More reason's more words, More people. Soon her Mother noticed her daughters peculiarities and while her son grew to be a Musician she sent her daughter away to school to allow her to gain the knowledge she so vastly desired.
