Needless to say spoilers ahead, though I don't think the title spoils too much since the Reapers have invaded and its quite possible an entire civilization could be killed so no surprise people die.
The latest issue of Game Informer has revealed a few things about ME3. -TIM plans to use Prothean technology to control the Reapers and secure human dominance. I can't possibly foresee how that could end badly (/end sarcasm). On a side note who's happy they didn't hand TIM the Collector Base? -Shepard has a clear foil, like Saren in ME1, they work for Cerberus and they have rendered Shepard obsolete in the eyes of TIM -You have the option to curry favor with the salarian government by faking the genophage cure -In the battle of Reaper vs Maw, whose name is Kalros, Maw wins -MORDIN F****** DIES!!!!
The set up was the writer decided to distribute the actual cure. But the only place to release it into the atmosphere with the quickest and most complete results is a tower called the Shroud and its currently under attack by a Reaper. So you call in the Maw to help and while it wins the battle severely damages the Shroud. Mordin elects to go to the top of the tower to make sure the cure gets out and since its on the verge of collapse its clear he won't make it.
His last words were, 'Had to be me. Someone else might have gotten it wrong.' *TT~TT The galaxy won't be the same without you Mordin (salutes).
The good news is this is only one possible ending depending on your choices in previous games and ME3 so in your play through Mordin could live. But even though it breaks my heart to hear that he dies like he does I think its one of the best endings for him as a character. In ME2 despite his insistence otherwise its clear that he feels incredibly guilty for what he did and this is his way of atoning.
So what are your thoughts on the new info?
Title edited. Removed spoiler in title and edited title to warn about spoilers in topic. Do not do this again. Edited by soren_alenko

Hey, hey, hey! If you're going to warn of spoilers, don't put the spoilers in the thread title! gonk
Now, I had already heard of the Mordin thing and that it's only a possibility, but I don't think others would appreciate it if they hadn't heard about it yet.
Story spoilers are things I'd rather not hear, so I'm tip-toeing around as much as I can.

Either edit the title so that it doesn't contain spoilers, or I'm going to have to.

Miss NightsShades... while we, your fellow fans, appreciate your desire to share news and updated info regarding our favorite game, your choice in title is most distasteful. In addition to your in-depth synopsis of a certain scenario and other aspects of the story, you might have done better by simply mentioning the article and including a link for people who don't mind spoilers to investigate.
To put it simply, don't openly spoil. Mention, direct, and leave it to others to read or watch at their own discretion. Story spoil = BAD! stressed
