Xua turned to his master with a concerned expression. "Master..."

Araxis held up a hand and the Twi'lek Sith fell silent. He had just heard Lord Treanox's voice whisper in his head, and he was sure that Lord Terest had heard what he had heard. "Ah old friend, you are a very capable warrior, yet a little old fashioned." He said, his whispering voice holding a trace of bemusement.

Xua finally found his voice. "Should I try to establish a meeting between Lord Treanox, and Lord Terest?" He asked softly. Araxis simply shook his head.

"If lord Terest wished to he would contact the Progentus personally." He then turned to his apprentice. "But enough of this, we have more pressing matter's at hand. Is the fleet ready?" He asked.

"Yes my lord." Xua answered.

"Good tell them to begin the assault. Our plan goes into action now." He said as he strolled out of the briefing room his hands clasped behind his back. He was heading to his own flagship The Shadow of Intent. He was going to make good on his promise to oversee Riloth's capture personally.

Ok. Just a fore-warning. This response is really, REALLY LONG. It took me the better part of a week to perfect it, and I still feel that there is more I could have done with it haha. Enjoy.

It was a short time later when a messenger arrived at Terest's personal chambers. The doors parted and inside floated the still form of Highlord Terest, deep in meditation.

The messenger, fearing for his life, walked quickly into the room.

“Um... m'lord. There's a subspace communique that has just arrived for you.” He said, not knowing what to expect.

The messenger, still standing near the entrance to the personal chambers, held a small holocron in his hands. With no warning whatsoever, the holocron levitated out of the messenger's hands and floated to Terest.

“Leave me.” Terest said simply, his still form still floating in the air.

The messenger turned and left the room quickly, thanking whoever it was that was watching over him. Terest, holding no interest for the fate of the messenger, opened his eyes slowly to look upon the holocron that floated near to him. Tinged red, a message of great importance no doubt.

“Begin message.” Terest commanded.

Through the auditory command, the recorded message began to play.

“M'lord,” The hologram of a Seth Acolyte said, “Darth Braxis has begun to move his forces into position near the planet. The time as you asked to be told, has arrived.”

A short missive, but informative to no end. A cruel smile spread over Terest's hidden lips as he moved the object he had shown his ally through the holo-conferance earlier, to his hand using the Force. With a press of a button, the activation signal was sent and the cloaked satellites began to intercept all forms of communications and replace them with normal subspace chatter. Terest stood then, landing on the floor of his private chambers without a sound. His six light-sabers flew from their place of rest and latched into their holsters on his belt, beneath his robes.

Walking out of the door, Terest gave only a slight motion of his hand to his elite guard. They knew what the signal meant.

“Prepare my flagship, and ready the battle fleet. We shall give this galaxy a reminder of the power of the Dark Side.” Terest said to an attendant, who bowed and scurried away.

Already Terest was forming a plan of action and of strategy, as well as counter-strategy. He was a foremost tactician, the like rivaled entire boards of Jedi thinkers. Through his meditation of the force, Terest was able to think clearly and to a point, being able to grasp flows of combat better then those who had spent their entire life fighting. It was through this that he was able to move to the Star Forge and rekindle the foundries within, building up his experimental and extremely deadly arsenal of weapons and fleets. Now was the time to put his weapons to the test, though he knew that they would be formidable.

Moving though the Star Forge, Highlord Terest eventually arrived at the terminus that lead to his flag ship, the Cadite Solis. Proceeding to the entrance ramp to one of the many airlocks on the ship, it took Terest hardly a moment to know exactly where he was in accordance to the bridge. Moving fluidly, Terest went through several different levels until arriving upon the bridge.

“Navigator, move the ship out and make ready to jump to the Riloth system. Inform the rest of the battle-fleet to arrive there simultaneously.” Terest ordered, taking a seat in the commander's chair.

It took hardly a moment for the ship to leave the dock it was at, the entire ship colossal in size. (Image Link for ship: Here) But, nearly as quickly as it took to leave the dock and move into the open area surrounding the construction yards, the Cadite Solis picked up its pace quickly, much more quickly than any battle-cruiser recorded. Out of the darkness of space, behind the Solis slunk ships of lesser stature, but still imposing nature, obviously the battle-fleet. It easily numbered over two hundred ships, but only several dozen were moving out. Then, as if by some trick of the light, each of the ships vanished from view. The Cadite Solis, by far the largest warship of the group, was the last to vanish from sight.

Aboard the ship, Terest watched as each member of his battle-fleet acknowledged their follow position. With a motion of his hand, the entire battle-fleet jumped to hyperspace, making for the Riloth system.

It didn't take long at all for the fleet to make it to the system, and when they did, Terest smiled to himself. There lay Riloth, ripe for the spreading of the Dark Side.

Whether Braxis had made it to Riloth or not, Terest contacted any sith within the area using one of the oldest and most advanced techniques known to the Sith Order.

“So, the spreading of the Dark Side comes to Riloth. Those who seek power, come and find the mark in the Capitol City. You will know it when you see it.” Terest said through his mind, the images projected fearsome and dripping with the promise of power.

Araxis was on the bridge of his flagship when it exited light speed. As he eyed the Twi'lek homeworld already under assault, the corners of his mouth turned up in the slightest of smiles. "Only a matter of time now." He said in his half whisper of a voice. He felt Xua walk up to take his place at his left. He could also sense that he was ill at ease. "What is bothering you young one? Is it the sight of our forces laying siege to your home?" Araxis asked to which Xua shook his head.

"No master. I am meerly ill at ease because I wish to be down there taking place in the battle." The young Twi'lek explained to his master, which earned him a small chuckle of bemusement from the elder Sith.

"Worry not my young apprentice, there will be more battles for you to take part in other than this. Tell me Xua have you ever played a game called Chess?" The Sith Lord asked again. To which Xua shook his head. "Well there are several pieces on either side. Two Rooks, two Knights, two Bishops, a Queen, a King, and the Pawns. And in Chess the Pawns are always the first to go." Araxis explained.

"So ... If I am correct, on this particular Chess board ... The Pawns are the soldiers that we have already deployed and are taking part in the assault as we speak?" Xua asked his master.

"Correct Xua. However elite and dangerous the soldiers down their are, they are nothing more to us than expendable mercenaries. Which is why in Chess the Pawns go first."

"Because their expendable?" Xua asked once again.

"Correct once again my young apprentice." Araxis then turned to another Twi'lek manning a console. "Status report Lieutenant." He demanded.

"My lord." The Twi'lek said in a blank tone. "The Shadow Insurgents have destroyed the docking bays to the Capitol City, and have been successful in capturing the light bridge. However there is a complication."

"What sort of complication Lieutenant?"

"There is a Jedi within the Capitol City that has been barring our forces from entering the counsel chambers." The Twi'lek explained.

Araxis sighed in irritation. There always had to be a complication in missions. But a Jedi here made things iffy for their situation. "The communications with the Jedi Council have been cut off and replaced with normal chatter. There is nothing to worry about there. Lieutenant what species is this Jedi?"

"It's a ... A Shistavanen My Lord."

"Interesting ... Very interesting. Xua it seems that you will get your chance to see battle in this little skirmish after all. Go down there and confront that Shistavanen, but bring him back to me alive. His lightsaber is yours should you accomplish your mission."

"It shall be done My Lord." Xua said as he bowed to his master and walked off towards the docking bay.

(sorry for the complete absence from this roleplay, I just haven't been on gaia in ages)

The Sith lord sat patiently in meditation, awaiting any form of response. Sure there were more modern, more expedient methods in contacting his fellow conspirators. But in his mind, this method was more personal, more established among force users. But as the minutes ticked away, things remained utterly silent. Nexus was patient in many aspects, especially in warfare, preferring his strategy and tactics rather than the spirited assaults and charges of his jedi counterparts. But when it came to interactions, his patience wore thin very quickly. So after a bit more silence, he stood up and made the way to the bridge of the Progenitus. The automatic doors slid open as the cloaked figure entered the command bridge. He was greeted by the cold monotones of his battle droids.

"General, what is our next move?" one asked.

"A fair question," he thought to himself. "There must be another way to get in touch with the other sith..."

"Unit 445, have there been any incoming transmissions during my absence?" he asked.

"Negative general" the unit replied.

"Excellent, now at least i have a free moment to plan my next step." he thought again.

There were so many possibilities running through his mind as to what approach he could take. But most of them weren't exactly as discreet as he would like. That was one thing that the Sith highly valued, discretion. Exposing even a single on of their movements to the jedi order could spell catastrophe. But as usual, Nexus' thoughts were interrupted by one of his droids.

"Sir, we're picking up a lot of chatter on Seperatist channels."

"You interrupt my thoughts for that? This better be important." his tone was extremely irritable.

"Unknown forces are converging in the vicinity of the Ryloth system, they cannot be confirmed as Republic or as Separatist."

They now had his full attention, this could be the opportunity he was waiting for.

"What more information can be discerned?"

"Their affiliation is unknown, their intent is unknown, their ships do not seem to match with designs consistent to Republic or Separatist ships."

It was not guaranteed to be the allies Nexus was looking for, but at this point, it was the only lead that he had. The Progenitus and the fleet under his command were more than capable of handling itself in combat situations, and with Separatist forces in the vicinity, he hardly had to concern himself with hostile engagement. It was only a chance, and the renowned tactician was not known for it, but it was a chance he had to take in order to accomplish his goal.

"I want an order relayed to our entire fleet, we are to set a course for the Ryloth system. Be prepared for combat and initiate the appropriate protocols."

A chorus of "roger roger" rang out in the large room. The trademark black cape swirled behind him as Darth Nexus departed from the command bridge to make the necessary preparation, this was step 1.

Xua's shuttle made it's decent through Riloth's atmosphere, as the young Twi'lek made his final adjustments to his lightsaber. He was prepared to face this Shistavenan. His master needed this creature alive and he would bring it back to him alive. Perhaps not all in one piece, but alive nonetheless. When the shuttle pulled out of re-entry, Xua signaled to his shuttle's pilot. "Set me down on the far side of the chasm. I will radio you once my mission is completed." The shuttle pilot nodded and the exit hatch opened. Xua leaped down from his transport and onto one of the Capitol City's rooftops.

Even among all the sounds of battle and chaos, it was easy to discern the unmistakable sound of a lightsaber being used. "Well that was far too easy." Xua said with a small scoff as he leaped off of the rooftop and began to make his way towards the Shistevenan, his own lightsaber in his hand. As if someone had flipped a switch, the werewolf-like creature and the solders surrounding it stopped fighting one another as the young Twi'lek came forward. He stopped a few feet from the Jedi smirking, although his face was partially hidden underneith his hood. "My master wishes to speak with you. Now the way I see it, you can come willingly ... Or I can slice your arms and legs off and carry your limbless body to him." Xua said a hit of a challenge in his voice.

The Shistavenan snarled as he pointed his lightsaber at Xua. "Insolent Sith. You will now face the might of the Jedi Order." The werewolf creature said as it charged at Xua, it only took a moment for Xua to activate his lightsaber, yet it was not a lightsaber as the blade was thinner, longer, and coiled. Xua's weapon was a light-whip, and as he activated and cracked it, the Shistevenan's lightsaber arm arced through the air and rolled to a stop at the Twi'lek's feet. "You should have surrendered when you had the chance." Xua said as he retreacted his light-whip and contacted his shuttle pilot. "I have what I need." he said as he lifted the unconcious body of his target with the Force. "I'm ready for pick-up."

Riloth sat before Terest, the ships of Darth Araxis sitting in orbit and already sending troops planet side. Terest chuckled darkly to himself, wondering what the looks of the people were as an armada of troops were landing and besieging the world below. Then again, Terest knew full well the terror that came from invasion, having seen it first hand on several different worlds.

With a wave of his hand, the projected image of a member of his inner circle came to life beside him.

"Arenial, see that the slaves are equipped correctly before the decent. Send a missive fleet wide to begin the orbital invasion." Terest said, still looking at the planet before him.

"Yes, my lord." Arenial said, the image bowing deeply to the Highlord before vanishing.

On the display before him, acknowledgement icons appeared as each ship captain readied their men for a drop to the planet. It was at this time that Terest noticed a report coming from one of the outer ships. With another wave of his hand, Terest summoned up the image of the captain of the ship.

"What is it..." Terest demanded, knowing full well that he should focus on the tide of the battle.

"M... My lord, forgive me for interrupting, but I have received information that a small Republic fleet garrisoned this planet. They are already rounding the far side and are heading towards our position. No reports of discovery, my lord." The captain said, a bead of sweat rolling from his temple.

Dispite the news, Terest began to laugh, a slow, almost maniacal one. This set the image of the captain rigid with fear, obvious by the wild look in his eyes.

"Very well captain, I will deal with this personally... You are dismissed..." Terest said, an amused smile playing on his hidden lips. "Helmsmen, adjust course to two-zero-eight degrees, ready the Hammer of Judgement. We will show these worms that the Sith are a force to be reckoned with..."

A simple "Yes, my lord." Was the only response as the hulk of a flagship changed its position in space. All around Terest, blue energy pulsated as a hum of charging accelerators sounded like the peal of death. Another laugh, beginning deep in his throat soon rolled through Terest as he watched the ships appear on screen before him, soon reaching a wild and terrifying level. Lightning crackled around his form, his robes wavering and flowing with the build up of force energy. Suddenly, two orbs came down from the dark recesses of the ceiling and came to a stop several feet before him. Terest's laugh continued, even as the sound of the charging accelerators came to a crescendo. Again, a simple reply came from the helmsman, in the form of, "The Hammer is ready to descend, my lord."

It was this simple response that made Terest's laughter explode to a new high, a blood-chilling, crazed laugh that could kill a man from the sound alone if exposed long enough to it. The wavering of the force around Terest, and the lightning dancing from his form chased each and every shadow from the room, sending peals of light scattering across the walls and ceiling. But, as suddenly as the laughter began, it ended into a horrid silence, save for the crackling of lightning.

"The Hammer descends on the unworthy and folly, you have been judged no less, and your sentence... is DEATH!" Terest intoned, before out-stretching his arms, sending the coursing electricity into the two orbs before him.

The orbs accepted this energy, the waves and waves of it enough to kill an entire legion of soldiers, and sent it directly to the weapon. From amid-ship, a glow of blue-purple grew brighter and brighter before lancing out in a spear of death towards the oncoming fleet. No shield could have resisted the barrage of refined and focused energy, and the sight was no less terrifying. From out of the blackness of space came a beam of unparalleled death that bombarded the Republic ships. Hulls buckled and flared before vanishing, crew were vaporized, atmosphere combusted, and blood vanished in fire and death. A truly awe-inspiring, and fear driving sight to be seen.

Back in Terest's throne, the slow rolls of laughter still coursed through him as he slowly sat back down. With another wave of his hand, he hailed Araxis.

"So, my friend. What say you to the power of my fleet...?" Terest asked, an amused smile playing still upon his lips.
