 Severin Novaire "Literature is complex and one really has to think to understand it."________________________Okay. Who's idea was to add Veith in the alliance? Obviously he was better off getting hurt with the other people so he could be blissfully ignorant. He was definitely an innocent kid under all his grouchy face bravado.
Severin patted Veith's shoulder. "Don't think too much about it." Severin said. "What do you think our job is? We'll just burn the monster down before it hurts someone." Although Severin was certain that there might be people getting hurt in the process since he wasn't all that confident in his magic at all, but Veith seemed to be pretty capable.
"Come on. It's time. Let's go."

He still had a lot of stuff to clean, but while he was re-arranging his books, Veith came across a magazine that clearly did not belong to him. He wasn't flipping through the magazine for long before he threw it out a window because of-- Anyways, he threw it out the window and if that did belong to someone, then Veith was not sorry and wouldn't apologize since whoever came to his room shouldn't have left it there in the fist place.
Veith sat in his seat. He left his Kleenex box that he choose to carry around with him on his desk. A tissue was pressed against his nose and he hoped the bleeding would stop soon and soon meant before anyone else decided to come barging into the room.

I wake in vain...
Tshila barged into Spell Casting, back to her usual happy self. Well, she'd been kidnapped by a monster and forced to endure the company of an annoying person and then transformed into some magical girl...sparkle...thing...over the weekend! All in all, it was business as usual at Rosentale.
"Hi Veith!" She said, sliding in to the desk next to him. Studying him for a few moments, she frowned. Was his nose bleeding? Man, Eros totally had that same affliction. Maybe it was something in the water!
"You okay?" she asked. "Last week was totally crazy! I heard you were the one who blew up that monster...thing! Great job! I should probably thank you because, like, I'm pretty sure it was going to eat us all if someone didn't stop it so you totally saved our lives!"

Veith glanced at Tshila and then frowned. No way. He's definitely not going to tell her that this was because he flipped through a magazine. That was just lame. "Yeah. I'm fine." Veith said. "It's almost about done anyways."
Not like she cared. She was moving on to the next topic and he was instantly feeling guilty. Tshila was one of the people that had gone missing and he was part of the plan that allowed that beast to run around the place. "Well... I didn't do much. It was mostly Professor Novaire that did the burning." Veith said as he stared hard at his desk, unable to meet Tshila's eyes.
"....I'm glad you're okay." Veith frowned and then quickly added. "And everyone else too. It's not like I was worried. It'd just be troublesome if people got hurt."

Awww. Look! He was too shy to admit he'd been worried about her. He was just so cute and little and grouchy. He needed lots of hugs and cookies! Like Pierce, except Veith was cuter and less stupid. Tshila scooted closer and suddenly wrapped her arms around him, giving Veith a squeeze.
"It's okay! You can be honest about your feelings with me!" she told him. "I totally won't tell anyone you're a big softie on the inside!" She released him and grinned, leaning her chin on her arm. "So. like, if you were helping Professor Novaire with a spell that big, you must be really good at this whole spell casting thing."
"Like the star pupil and stuff! I'm totally a complete novice compared to you. But I'm definitely going to get the hang of it! I even showed up on time today. Cause I figure that the next time a monster wants to eat me, it would be awesome if I had some cool spell I could use to defend myself. of course, that won't help much if he sneaks up on me and hits me over the head like last time, but still! I need to learn a lock breaking spell or something! That would have been so useful when we were all trapped in cages having to listen to Rose scream like a girl and Pierce natter on about how his cellphone is more useful than he is!"

Severin Novaire "Literature is complex and one really has to think to understand it."________________________Severin entered the classroom. "My apologies for my lateness." Severin said quickly. He wanted to wear an eye patch to cover the black eye but when he tried to do it, the eye patch just irritated him so he just went to class as he was.
"Since there's no time for a lesson today, I guess I'll just give you all an assignment to do on your own." Severin said. "It's just a project. I want you to choose any type of magic and make a report on it. You'll be presenting it to the class next we meet. It doesn't have to be extravagant and you can bring a visual to guide you."

Wait, there was a lot to do in this short amount of free time to himself! It was to read! So he opened his book and went to memorizing spells as quickly as he could before there were any interruptions. Of course, he ended up just reading to fast and had to re-read.
But as he was reading, he suddenly fell asleep. He dreamt he was on a battlefield. His clothes had changed into a flowing cloak and long robes and he held a book. There were people dying around him and he didn't have any spells that would work at the moment so he opened up his book and started to read a spell.
Suddenly, Misaki appeared in his dream and slashed down an enemy that tried to attack Veith mid-spell. "What are you doing reading at a time like this!?" Misaki shouted at him.
Veith jolted awake and looked around. Nope. No one around. Veith sighed. "It's not like I was reading for fun." Veith grumbled. "I was trying to help out in the battlefield." Ack. Listen to him. He sounded ridiculous.
((Yes. I asked permission from Oz to use Misaki in Veith's dream. 8D))

I wake in vain..."Hi veith!" Tshila said as she walked in and took her usual seat. "Oh man, I'm totally beat. Long weekend. I mean, it was fun and all that, but yeah. I need to sleep more, know what I mean? Staying up way too late, lately."
"Anyway, yeah. How're you? Did you just wake up? Because you kind of looked like you were asleep when I came in and all that. Have you been staying up late too? Seems to be a chronic condition going around the school. Oh! I haven't seen you since that whole thing with the monster." She paused. "Or have I? I dunno! Anyway, I heard you helped defeat it! Totally cool. I had no idea you were that strong."
"Not that you don't look that strong and all that, I just didn't know you were so talented with magic. That's really cool!"

Veith glanced at Tshila when she walked into the classroom. "Oh... hello Tshila. Er, I took a brief nap. I guess I did stay up a bit late last night." Veith said. Yes. Reading in the dark. He probably will have to resort to glasses soon if he kept that up.
"I believe we talked about this briefly. Um... as I said before, Professor Novaire did most of the work." Veith said to her and learning from his mistake last time, he did not express his gladness about Tshila being okay. B-because if she wasn't, that meant Veith failed and failure is never something Veith liked to settle with.
"But you must have been strong too to be stuck as a prisoner. There were... I think a few people who really got hurt during the ordeal. I..." Was safe and stood in the back chanting magic words and that was it. Veith didn't at all feel like such a brave person like Tshila made him out to be. "I bet you were brave too and everyone else that was kidnapped." Veith said quickly.

"Oh, it wasn't that bad," Tshila said. "I mean, the worst part was the fact I was trapped down there with someone annoying for a while before Misaki woke up. I mean, she was the one who was totally brave, you know? Like, we didn't know if the monster was going to eat us or what so we had to get out of the cages? And the only way we could get out was for me to heat up the bars and then we enhanced Misaki's strength so she could bend them but it burned her arm, and stuff?"
"Anyway, yeah. I felt bad because you know, I was the one who heated up the bars and stuff. But it was kind of all we had. Anyway. We all got out and injuries could have been worse. So it's all good. Anyway, thanks, you know? I mean, you guys were distracting it above ground so we were able to get out and all that."

As Veith listened to Tshila's story, he felt guilt and he was afraid that if he had to listen anymore about what happened, he was going to have a hard time hiding the guilt. But it was for everyone, wasn't it? Because the school is secretly evil. It's not like they were supposed to go that far to the point that Misaki had to go slamming against hot metal.
Really. They were stupid enough to get caught anyways and no one was killed. It'll be forgotten soon so he didn't need to feel guilty. "Well, thankfully it's over and that's all that matters." Veith remarked. Misaki was just one of those idiots who always put other people before herself. "I think... I might go head to the library. I'll see you around."
