The winds whipped the city of Cyrus brutally. Sharp, cold winter air filled Moanna's lungs as she clung to her fluffy fur wrap tightly, afraid the small warm bundle inside would freeze before she could find someplace warm to take refuge in for a few brief moments.

It was odd to see Moanna out and about during the depths of winter. She was not one for the cold, her wardrobe consisting of mostly airy clothing and dresses that were more for show or the warmer climates. She firmly disliked winter, as it reminded her of the cruel embrace of death and a sense of endless despair. Winter stole the life it wanted, causing everything green to go dormant and leaving the world barren and ugly.

"Are you ok in there?" Moanna murmured, holding up her bundled fur wrap to her face and peeking at what was cocooned inside.

Moanna's actual reason for being out in the barren, cold embrace of winter was to rescue life. A little tiny, fluffy ball of meowing life she spotted on her way to shop for groceries the other day. She had not spotted its mother anywhere around and guessed it had probably abandoned the tiny kitten or already succumbed to the cold. This in mind, she couldn't on good conscious allow the kitten to stay in the cold, even if it was just a stray.

The small gray and white fluffy kitten was balled up warmly within Moanna's wrap, shrinking further into the fur when the cold winter air hit its face. With a tiny mew and an adorable swipe motion, Moanna made sure to wrap the kitten back up snugly and looked for some place to stash herself in for awhile.

Her own extremities were beginning to feel cold, and Moanna wondered if walking around in such a small dress was good for her skin. She couldn't exactly wonder about her health, being what she was, so her skin was of her utmost concern. Noticing a small cafe sign in her line of sight, Moanna decided to stash herself in there to warm her bones and that of the kittens.

Tango had also found himself less than a fan of the winter. The snow looked beautiful, even to him, at first fall. But without fail moments after it's clean sheet was placed on the world, it became marred and ugly. He much preferred the grass and greenery of spring and summer.

The only thing that made up for the bitter cold was the excuse it gave him to spend all of his time in cafes, sipping hot coffee and working on his music. Which was exactly why the Mango-scented boy was currently located at the back of the cafe. A steaming cup was sitting at his table, at arm's length but not so close he might bump it. Spread in front of him were blank music sheets that he was quickly inking in with his pen.

Desdemona was at home today, playing with her snakes. He had firmly put his foot down on the matter of letting the young girl bring the creatures to the cafe with them. As such she sometimes stayed home to be with them. He couldn't say he minded the reprieve of the younger child, even if he adored her.

Placing his pen down he reached out for his cup of coffee, blowing on it as he raised it to his lips. His sharp eyes took in the shop as he sipped at his beverage. Due to this, it was impossible for him to not notice the white haired woman bursting back into his world. He almost chocked on the scalding liquid at the mere sight of her.

"Moanna..." He murmured to himself as he rose from his seat. Setting his cup back down on the table he crossed the cafe towards her. Taking note of her lack of appropriate clothing, he shrugged out of his jacket as he went. When he reached her side, he draped his jacket over her shoulders only feeling marginally more confident than the last time he saw her.

Moanna was thankful for the warmth she experienced when she entered the little cafe and basked in it for a brief few moments, legs stinging and turning pink from having been battered by the cold, until something fell on her shoulders and she turned in an alarmed state to meet a pair of familiar green eyes.

"Tango...," She murmured quietly in her lack-luster voice, although her eyes showed her surprise far better than her voice ever could. Her golden orbs wide with a slight glow to them as she processed that it was his jacket around her shoulders.

It was the tiny mew from the bundled kitten in her arms that brought her back to reality, at the same time dismissing the thought of her and Tango's last meeting. A meeting that ended in her hurried and angered departure, to which she had been purposely avoiding him for. The irony was that she had forgotten that she had been avoiding him in the first place and had simply grown accustom to not seeing him about, figuring that fate had taken them in different directions.

"Uhm,... Hello," Was all she could manage to muster as her fur wrap rustled softly, and a small gray tail and bottom stuck out of an opening as the kitten tried to adjust itself in her arms.

"Hi," He responded in return, entirely ready to come up with something else to say when they tiny mew escaped from her fur wrap. His emerald orbs narrowed a bit down at the article of clothing in time to see the tail flicking out in her arms.

His eyes widened a bit before shooting back up to her golden ones. She had brought a cat in here? What was she thinking? Sighing to himself he shook his head. Wrapping an arm around her shoulders (to keep the jacket in place, he told himself), the other hand moved to her arm as he attempted to usher her to his seat.

"Come on, I'm sitting in the back, no one will see...that," He eyes locked onto her prize for a moment before looking back at her, waiting to see if she'd go along willingly or if she'd just turn around and leave again.

There was certainly something to be said about time passing. He could hardly remember how long ago it was that she had left in a tizzy. Could hardly even remember what it was over. But he did remember her appearance and the shocking reaction his body and emotions had to her. He could have sworn she had grown even more beautiful since the last time he had seen her, but he wasn't about to tell her that out loud. He just hoped time had her forgetting occurred between them before as well and she was able to see the logic in taking a seat in the back of the cafe.

Moanna was less than thrilled with Tango's reaction to the tiny life she rescued from the cold, but she let it brush past her like a gentle breeze and simply disengaged her eyes from his and instead focused steadily on the little rustling bundle. At the very least she wouldn't have to dawdle and try to locate a seat before the kitten became antsy in her grasp; not that this wasn't happening already.

Allowing Tango to lead her back to where he was sitting, she quickly broke away from his grasp to sit down in a chair. Tiny claws had started digging themselves into Moanna's skin and she wanted to allow the little furball in her care to stretch his tiny legs as he pleased. A gray haired and white muzzled kitten with puce colored orbs for eyes stuck his head up from underneath the fur wrap she had bundle him and herself in and peered around quietly, before letting out a mighty yawn.

"You are so soft," Moanna muttered quietly as she pet the kitten's head gently, her own head leaning to the side a bit, "but you're cold."

She wondered if the cafe had any warm milk she could give the little furball, but didn't want to get up from her spot just yet. He might not like that, what with her having been the only person who had real contact with the little cat. It might bother him if she were to set him down and leave, even if it was only a span of ten or so feet.

"I found him outside in the cold," Moanna said to Tango, although she had yet to look up at him in the least, "I can't find his mother."

Tango led the white haired beauty to his spot watching as she all but shoved him off of her in her attempt to get away from him. Well, He thought, that was just ******** rude. Still, their last meeting had gone less than stellar despite his attempts at impressing her and he had learned his lesson for this time around. When bat-s**t crazy girls thought they were goddesses, you ******** let them think they were goddesses.

This one especially.

Watching as she sat down at the table and uncurled the kitten, he couldn’t help but wonder if he was insane for jumping up and joining her like he did. The teenage scent ran a hand through his wayward strands as the chick cooed to the creature and he was pretty damn sure she was going to cause a scene if she kept talking to her lap like that. A beautiful woman like her just didn’t go unnoticed. Especially if she looked like she was talking to her crotch, telling it it was soft but cold. Even if the little grey and white head peeking out from her fur was kind of cute, he’d have to cut her short if they didn’t want to get kicked out.

Good thing you saved him then,” Tango remarked, standing awkwardly by. But since he didn’t do awkward, he shoved his hands in his pockets at an attempt and cool-disinterest. “You going to keep him then?

"I don't know," Moanna commented, watching the kitten wiggle in her grasp, eyes closing tightly as she felt sharp twinges of pain in her hands from very displeased little claws and fangs.

The kitten didn't seem to want to sit still anymore, and Moanna wondered if she should just let it wander around the table or climb about her as it seemingly wanted to do. Eventually, she conceded as she decided her bleeding porcelain hand needed tending to before wrangling up the little gray and white kitten.

"If I do, his name will be Sinister." She said quietly, grabbing a napkin and blotting her cut hand.

The little gray and white kitten took his opportunity of freedom and began climbing up Moanna's fur wrap, and wiggled his way behind her neck before peeking out on the other side, losing his footing and plummeting into the opening of Moanna's short white dress. He was stuck there between her breasts face first and fought valiantly to free himself, causing the woman to audibly object.

"Ow, ow, ow, ow," Moanna complained, although her monotone voice didn't accurately display her growing pain.

Once the kitten managed to free himself, he took up place on the table in front of Moanna docile and yawning. He had very little energy and it showed.

"Yes, Sinister is a good name," She reaffirmed.

"Why Sinister?" Tango asked, finally taking his seat across the table from the woman. His hands automatically reached out for his coffee cup and let the warmth seeping from the cup heat up his hands. His question was answered almost automatically as the beauty let go of her hold and reached for a napkin for the blood.

Ouch. That just proved to him that pets were no good. Not that he'd tell her that. She obviously already had a strong affection for the little demon. Just as Desdemona deeply loved her damnable snakes.

When the kitten fell between her breasts, Tango almost laughed. He couldn't help it. How many times did one see s**t like that in reality? The humor was only killed by her mono-toned words of pain. He stood again, his hands kind of fluttering ******** uselessly in front of her as he tried to figure out if it would be seen as more rude to let the creature dig her or reach between her chest to pull it out.

He didn't have to decide in the end as 'Sinister' managed to finally free himself and let out a yawn. "Nevermind. Makes perfect sense." He muttered as he walked away from the table to the counter. Ordering the beast some warm milk and tea for the 'goddess', Tango paid for the drinks and set one down in front of each before returning to his seat. "He seems attached to you, anyways." Better her than him. At least she wasn't talking to her crotch anymore.
