Nefertari hopped with joy as she followed Dorian, her two-legger, and her father to her first real training session. This was pretty exciting for her since she was going to put what her father taught her to some use. Plus her horns, fangs, and claws had come in much more prominently and she could use those too. With a grin she followed them into the training corral, tail wagging furiously. She was ready!

As Dorian opened the corral gate Nef burst through and went to the other side, ready to start the training against her father. She hoped she’d do him pretty proud. Her father sauntered in after her with a shake of his head, he commended her enthusiasm however. “Ready Nef?” He asked, with a grin. She smiled back at him, “I was born ready dad.”

Seeing that they were both ready Dorian gave a whistle as he closed the gate door. Nefertari took the initiative and charged at her father who had been thrown off guard by the fact she had instantly attack her. A grin spread on her face, glad she got in a strike.

Erebus snarled at her and turned to slash at her, just barely scraping her as she jumped out of the way. She was much more agile that her old man. Still she gave a yelp at the pain in her shoulder and charged him with her horns. Her old man dropped his head and met her attack with his own horns causing each of them to stumble with the impact.

With a huff Nef stood on wobbling legs. That rebound had caused her to see stars there, it probably rattled her brain pretty good. Trying to shake off the daze of battle Nef gave a howl of anger and charge recklessly, not exactly the best plan but she believed it was a pretty effective to do some damage. However her father saw the attack coming and moved out of the way almost a moment too late, but enough to not get hit bad but enough to only get scraped. Her father snarled himself and as she went past him, he slashed at her flank with his claws. It was enough to dig deep into her and she turned on him with her fangs, feeling flesh in her mouth.

Erebus growled and turned on her, grabbing her with his gaping jaws to snag her cheek. Nef snarled and gave a whimper of pain as she tried to kick and pull away only to cause more pain as she got away from him, slashing at him as she moved. Her claws caught him hard and he tried to bite it to grasp onto her only to catch air. She was thankful that she had pulled her paw away in time, amazing actually.

Now she backed away, beckoning her father to come snap at her. When he did, she used her tail to kick up dust in her father’s face to blind him momentarily. It was good that he had shown her such an attack, dirty but she didn’t care. It wasn’t like she would be called out for it in a real fight. Erebus howled out at he lashed out blindly, not hitting anything but the ground and air.

She almost laughed at him but she wanted to be somewhat stealthy to attack him again. With him blinded she lunged at him, catching him on the back of the neck with her fangs. Another scream from her father of rage as her fangs dug in. The sharp adolescent teeth did enough to draw some blood, and she tasted it in her mouth. Now she threw them both hard to the ground, hearing some cracking sounds. It was enough to knock the wind from her also; she hadn’t even realized how hard she was throwing both of them.

Dorian was cheering them on and that bolstered Nef’s fighting spirit. Rolling out of the way she gave a snarl at her old man and charged him with her horns, hitting him pretty hard. Erebus growled; the dirt he blinked away enough to at least see her to attack properly. Biting her hard with his fangs to cause bleeding and holding her tight, she bucked to try and shake him off of her. Unfortunately her father was still stronger than her and she couldn’t shake him so easily. On top of that he wasn’t going as easy on her as he had before. Still she bucked to try and shake him and then threw herself back to the ground. Although he was tougher this still caused Erebus to let go of her.

She shook the pain away but it was only momentarily. With a howl she dove at him to snap at his legs, she was small enough to sneak under him and knock him over. Once he was on his back she launched herself at his exposed neck. Using her small form as an advantage she kept him from snapping at her as much, though he grabbed her and held on tighter. Both of them were getting more and more tired by the minute.

Dorian, upon seeing this, whistled to call them off. Nef did sneak in a last minute attack before she let up, panting like crazy. “Good fight dad.” She grinned. He returned her smile, “You’re beating on an old man. A bit unfair don’t you think?” He teased. Nef shook her head at him and just chuckled some more. Her father wasn’t that old on top of that he was a fighter veteran.

With a pat to both of them Dorian grinned at them both but looked at Nef with pride, “Potential my little beauty.” Not that Dorian saw her as just a prospect; she was family first before she was a fighter. “If there’s anything that your father can do, I’m sure you can do it twice as good Nefertari.” Chuckling a little, “After all he’s going to teach you everything he knows, aren’t you?” Her father nodded, “Well, I think its time to go home and have a grand meal. What you guys say to that?” Both gave their response of happy barks.
