~The Fyre Brothers~ Two brothers as different as day and night Cole let out a light chuckle when he heard a low noise that he was pretty sure was Emmeline's stomach growling. Guess he and Cole weren't the only ones that were hungry then. She said that it sounded fantastic, and she was pretty hungry herself after being out at the lake for a awhile. Caleb vaguely wondered how long she'd been out there, and even a bit more about why she had went out there in the first place. If that meant that she didn't know anyone else at the castle and was trying to find something to do, or if she did know someone and was trying to avoid them. Or maybe she just liked the lake and enjoyed spending time there. The more he thought about it, the more possibilities there were, he supposed. He also chuckled again when Emmeline said that the trees didn't deserve Cole's 'vicious hunger'. "I know, right? Not to mention, he gets really grumpy when he's hungry. No, seriously, even more than he normally is," he joked, grinning.
After that, Cole went quiet as they headed into the castle, and to the kitchen. Although it wasn't really an uncomfortable silence, at least not to him, anyway. Luckily when they found the kitchen, there wasn't anyone else there, and that was just fine with Caleb. He didn't even have to try to guess if Cole was okay with it or not. Walking over to the fridge, Caleb opened the door and peeked inside. It was packed full of pretty much anything anyone could ever want. Cole peeked in the cabinets, revealing a large variety of things as well. "So, what would you like?" Caleb asked, glancing over towards Emmeline. OOC: Sorry for the short post. I'm in a hurry and just wanted to get something up since I won't have a chance to post again until probably Sunday or so.

Emmeline Rosa Gray The sound of Cole chuckling made Emmeline smile briefly. So his laugh exists after all. She snickered at Caleb's comment, not minding the comfortable silence the three fell into.
When they reached the kitchen, Emmeline poked through the kitchen along with the brothers, speculating on what to make. "I was thinking pasta and salad. Bread, maybe. Fruit. Mm." With growing enthusiasm, she began pulling out different ingredients and cooking utensils. She paused, waving a pot at the two brothers. With mock suspicion she said, "You two do like pasta, right? And obviously you're more than welcome to make whatever finds your fancy. It's been a while since I've cooked with people." Emmeline smiled slightly. Whether or not they were interested in eating what she made didn't matter to Emmeline. She was starving, and there were people to cook for, and if the brothers didn't want it, someone would. Rarely had Emmeline ever gotten the chance to cook for herself and others for enjoyment. When she'd been Queen, there were other things that needed doing; it's just how things were. As a slave, she hadn't much say in anything, and the people she were cooking for were usually so terrible that it took all enjoyment out of the cooking. ((OoC: No worries, I appreciate it! ^-^ ))

~The Fyre Brothers~ Two brothers as different as day and night Cole glanced in Emmeline's direction when she began naming off a few dishes, seeing her puling a variety of ingredients and cooking utensils out of the cabinets as she went. Well, at least she had an idea of what she wanted, he thought. Cole hadn't had anything special in mind, and had mostly been wanting something to eat before he really did start to consider munching on one of the trees outside like his brother had joked that he would. Caleb, meanwhile, chuckled when Emmeline asked if they liked pasta. "You're kidding, right? Of course we like pasta. Anything pasta, really. Cole would live off of it if he thought he could," Caleb said, grinning.Cole rolled his eyes at his brother. "If I remember correctly, you were the one that ate macaroni and cheese everyday, for two meals a day, for a full week, brother," Cole said, arching an eyebrow at his brother. Caleb tilted his head to the side, as if trying to remember what his brother was talking about. "Oh yeah, I thought that was you." he joked. With a shrug, he turned back towards Emmeline and took the pot she had been waving at him and Cole. "I'm officially putting myself in charge of making the pasta!" he declared, taking the pot and hurrying off towards the stove before she could argue it.
Rolling his eyes at his brother, Cole resumed his search of the cabinets. It seemed that Emmeline and Caleb were planning on making the actual meal, but neither of them had mentioned dessert so far. Well, unless maybe Emmeline was planning on the fruit being dessert, as Cole had seen a few people do over the years. If it didn't have sugar in it and wasn't man-made, Cole didn't consider it to be dessert. After another moment or two, Cole had found a few ingredients to make a dessert with. His specialty, actually. It usually surprised people that Cole actually had a specialty, or even knew how to cook at all, for that matter. But the truth was, that Cole was actually a very good cook. He just didn't do it all that often around people. Caleb was a good cook as well, but for some reason people just assumed that he would be, although why that was, Cole had no idea.
As Caleb worked over the stove, Cole went about making his dessert. Having made it so many times, and having his own special recipe for it, it didn't him that long before he had the cake in the oven. Once he put it in to cook, he went about making the frosting, which he also had his own special recipe for. Caleb glanced over a couple of times, tried to peek over his shoulder once, to see what Cole was making, but Cole would always run him off without letting him see. Cole tended to have a couple of favorite desserts to make, so his brother wasn't sure which one he was going with just yet. And Cole planned on not letting him, or Emmeline, know until it was done. After he'd finished with the frosting, he moved on to something else. Which was making a fruit dish, which consisted of apples, blueberries, raspberries, cherries, bananas, and Cole's personal favorite; mangoes. Caleb's favorite was pineapple, so Cole added in some of that, although he would make sure that he didn't get any on his own plate because he didn't like it. At all. But, the fact that he had decided to add it just because his brother liked it spoke for itself that Cole wasn't quite as selfish and uncaring as he pretended to be.
Caleb, meanwhile, had turned the pasta he'd been cooking, into two different dishes; Fettuccine, and Macaroni and Cheese. He's also decided to make some mashed potatoes while he was at it. "You'd never guess that we were starved, huh?" Cole joked when he began to move the cooked dishes to the table. He may have went just a tad bit overboard with what he'd made, but he figured that there would probably be plenty of people in the castle that would enjoy finding the leftovers in the fridge for them later on. He mainly just enjoyed cooking, and the random conversations that he would keep striking up with Emmeline while he was cooking he had also been enjoying. None of it was anything important, but it didn't make it any less interesting or fun. Cole occasionally chimed in, but he mostly remained focused on what he was making. Caleb was surprised he'd even attempted to chime in at all. Cole tended to not bother to talk when there was someone else around at all.

§ℯɳ⍺ ═━┈┈━═ It's an interesting combination: Having a great fear of being alone, and having a desperate need for solitude... ¤
Sena had taken her time strolling down the halls and staircases from her room in the attic all the way to the kitchen, brushing her fingers along the wall as she walked. Upon reaching doorway to the kitchen, both her fingers and her steps paused. She gripped the door-frame before peeking inside. Her heart dropped. There were people inside. She'd been hoping to be alone. In peace where she couldn't bother anyone. The grumbling of her stomach forced her feet back into motion. But she ducked her head and hunched her shoulders, refusing to look up at anyone. Perhaps she could still pass through unnoticed. Grab a biscuit and some milk or something and be gone. But without looking where she was going, she was in danger of running into someone eventually. And so she was torn. Look down and avoid eye contact, or look up and avoid bodily contact. She shuffled her feet and fidgeted shyly with the edge of her skirt with a great deal of uncertainly. She glanced up just enough to see which direction the fridge was in and went straight for it, head down again. She mad it, reaching out to take hold of the fridge door handle like it was a life-line. She pulled it open, scanned and it's contents. From where she stood, she could just barely reach over and open the cabinet of cups and reach in to retrieve one. She quickly poured herself a glass of milk, turned about, and scurried out of the kitchen.
