A quaint village located in the Centra region, west of Timber town, Winhill is an isolated settlement that is surrounded on almost all sides by mountains, with no roads or railling systems connecting it to the outside world. It is accessible only through travel of sea, sky, and the river which also acts as a barrier of the outside world for this little town. The village itself is surrounded by open plains and rolling fields, and though it is a mainly peaceful place the Garden set up some years ago was established to ensure the protection of Winhill, and to give reason for young folk to stay rather than seeking the big cities such as Deling.
Locations of interest are as followed: Town Square, Downtown Winhill, Winhill Garden, and others. [More to come as they appear]

Long and arduous. Those were the only words that Salem would use to describe the trip that had taken him from the Dollet Dukedom to the meager village of Winhill. Or, at least he would describe it as meager, there was no way this place would ever hold importance besides from the outstandingly out of the place Garden that stood so lofty. Honestly he found it odd, why would someone build such a thing for such a secluded part of the world? Definitely not out of convenience with Galbadia's Garden able to move bodies across the main chunk of the continent much more efficiently with their militant whip cracking. Shrugging his shoulders as he let out a sigh, Salem dropped his bag in the floor as he looked around lobby on the Winhill manor. His convenient home away from home luxury that, honestly, he had no idea of how it had been prepared for his personal use. Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, the boy took a few steps further into the building before stopping. With that, and a clearly displeased expression on his face, he began to reflect on the series of events and the trip that had gotten him here.

Being hired from Dollet to arrive in Winhill to play music for the SeeD ceremony in celebration of something going right, or something of that order. Or at least he was pretty certain that was what the situation was. Salem honestly didn't care too much about the details of the gig, or the reason why he was hired to come way out here. As for as he cared, he was merely here as a singer to play back up in case the rest of the musical entertainment was a no show or needed him for a interval. Plus it was a extra pay check from a public source that he got to point at as a source of income. New found manor not withstanding though, many musicians weren't getting paid quite that well, but luckily he had perfected the art of excusing away his expenses. Anyways, that was just about the single nice thing he could say about it, as getting here was less pleasurable.

Starting with the trouble of arranging a ferry ride across to Balamb, to spending a day and a half sucking down sea air as he waited on his boat to prepare for their voyage over to this little recess of civilization. The real kicker though, was the two day trip on some old fashioned boat that couldn't sit still long enough for Salem to keep down his poor lunch, and breakfast, even dinner. Such a villainous sea voyage. "Urk..." He blubbered, remembering the feeling of being sea sick again for a moment. However a minor screech of what sounded like a vase being slid on the ground brought him out of his stupor as he became alert again, "Someone there!?" He asked alert, fully prepared to instill the fear of Gods in case this was truly just an excuse to get him right underneath a home of SeeD for easy hunting. Though knowing not to shoot the gun, he stood there for a short bit, just waiting, ready, before beginning to relax when he decided it was just a peculiar moment of this household.

Picking his bag back up, he headed up the stairs with a bit of a kick in his step, entering through the central door to the master bedroom, where he threw the bag onto the rather large bed. And soon enough he was rifling through the drawers in a curious hassle to see if anything was left behind from prior owners, and to his disappointment nothing much in this room at least. Soon though, refocused, he began to pull his clothes out of this bag he had brought with him, hanging them up in his closet one by one, though stopping as he came to a special outfit that seem uncannily familiar to the SeeD uniform. Salem smirked to himself as he hung up that suit as well, shaking his head with a small chuckle as he began to head out his door. There was still a few more things to move into this lovely abode. "Performance of a lifetime ahead." He said mischievously, beginning to curl a lock of his hair as the bedroom door closed behind him.

Hiro usually liked walking down the streets of Winhill watching the people run around like ants on an ant hill. That’s what he thought of them as merely little ants that would go scurrying away at the first sign of danger. He hated every single last being here. It was even more so with his family. Yes, his troublesome family that consisted of himself, his twin sister, and his parents. Those parents were always a nag on him, always asking questions and wanting answers to them. They never seemed to shut up since Tea left.

What was it about that girl that had everyone cooing over her? His eyes narrowed to slits as his thoughts continued to sour. Ever since that day when she woke up as if she’d been sleeping the entire time they were always smothering her. Could they not see that they suffocated her? Then again they never really seemed to care much just that she was up and moving about once more. His stomach turned as he placed a hand on it to calm it down.

So what did the little brat end up doing? She left of course. Tae left him, his parents, and their home to be one of those SeeDs. It really did sicken him as she grew more attached to this place and all he wanted to do was dig his way out. There were times where he wished that the two of them could go back to the way things were before the accident. As of things stood now he pushed her further and further away from him. That move only seemed to upset their mother who worried about her baby girl and why he couldn’t be the brother he should be.

Hiro stopped just in time as he took in his surroundings. He hadn’t realized how far in thought he was until someone had yelled at him nearly running him over with something large in his hand. As the boy took in where he was he blinked up at the large manor that now stood beside him. The manor that had once been abandoned, for the most part, looked to now have a new resident. Oh, good. Another ant to join the hill. He thought with an annoyed look upon his face.

It was no monumental task moving in what small amount of luggage he had left over from initially entering the manse. After all, when he began to plan his trip here, he hadn't really planned on staying. But then again, his plans were never, and would never be the important ones that decided how his life would go. No, grander things would always be encircling how things went for this child. However kicking open his door as he had settled his bags nicely in the middle of the floor, Salem took the smallest of moments to lock his door as he grinned at the sunny day that was awash over this quaint town. And with that, the boy immediately sighed and shrugged his shoulders.

"Five gil says the Garden is just as boring as this place, and that's where all the exciting things happen." He complained, trying to ignore the small little prickles of annoyance he felt at the time. It was a peculiar but familiar notion of being watched, however it was something he was sure that couldn't be helped. After all, such a young person moving into the largest place in town that had such a ill reputation had to garner some attention from the local populace. Hopefully though none of the Winhill Garden students were enough of country bumpkins to actually spend much of their time in town to notice his arrival.

A meager frown fit his lips as he thought about it, before turning his eyes to the nearest person could possibly be of assistance. Unfortunately instead of some model or interesting thing to look at it, it was merely some meager boy in a hoody. "Tch." He went, before boldly stepping over to the other boy, pushing his forehead back with a single finger. "You know you make my style look bad. But hey, you don't seem to have anything good to do. No surprise, considerin'. Is there anything good around town or is this place really as boring as it looks?"

Hiro watched in silence as a boy no older than him, but looked to be a bit shorter walked out of the house. Was it just him? He glanced around but didn't seen much of a moving vehicle to haul large items. So perhaps it was just the boy. It wasn't too out there to see someone close to adulthood off on their own. Obviously he wasn't planing on making roots here. Which was good. He wouldn't want someone that could move else where be stuck here.

He couldn't say how long he was standing there gaping but the other male was headed towards him. Oh, crap. He thought quickly attempting to keep walking in hopes that the other male would just ignore him like everyone else here seemed to.

It didn't seem that lady luck was on his side today. The male stepped in front of him and then proceeded to poke his forehead. Blinking several times he gazed down at the smaller male, being six foot himself. Hiro stared down at him slightly annoyed at being poked.

Hiro also didn't like being told that he looked bad. Plucking at the hoody he shifted slightly so his body weight rested mostly on his right side. His eyes piecing the others gaze. How did he know he didn't have anything to do? He could have been headed off to an important meeting for all this kid new. Flexing his jaw he thought about the others words. "Depends on your definition of good and boring." his solemn and almost dreary tone slithered passed his lips.

It wasn't much of a response but this boy wasn't making it easy to like or be kind to him, not that he was usually a nice guy to begin with. "Is there something in particular that you're looking for here?" a brow raised almost challenging the other. No one just randomly dropped in just to see if they liked how things ran in a town.

"Well... this place is pretty damn dull. So, i'd consider that boring." Salem said, his eyes beginning to look off to the side while he drew a breath. Of course the locals wouldn't have a idea of a good time. Hell, they probably never even heard of such a thing until he asked. This conversation had to be mind blowing for the poor chap he was speaking with. "'Good', my neanderthal friend, would be something that had some life to it. Preferably occupied by pretty ladies. While I doubt this place has the good mercy of a club for any kind of night life, is there at least an arcade?" Probably not.

"Maybe a place where interesting people hang out that isn't idling in the town square. Perhaps a pool with some girls in bikini's? Maybe? Or say, a ice cream parlor where other girls hang out? If, you know, there's even any women my age in this little shanty town." The said, not even having the common decency to at least try and hide his dislike of Winhill. This place is small even compared to Balamb.. He thought, bringing his view back to the boy he was talking to, though feeling they could be better used looking elsewhere.

"I mean, c'mon Chucky. There has to be something interesting besides that damned Garden around here. Right? Something with some entertainment value, or some decent eye candy." Pulling down his hood, he pouted as he looked up at Takahiro. "It's all i'm asking for." But for some reason, Salem had this niggling little doubt that what he was asking for was just a bit too much.

Hiro stared down at the boy. Was it just him or did it seem that this boy's hormones were raging? Every other word seemed to be something about hot girls. A brow raised upward again as he continued to just stare at him. Put a lid on it...jeez..

Though he did have to admit this place was rather dull. His eyes moved away from Salem to glance about before moving back on him. "Well, you came to the wrong damn place then if you're looking for a place with slutty girls and the likes."

Okay he probably could have rephrased that but this kid was just rubbing him the wrong way. Besides... he wasn't anything like Chucky, unless you considered him creepy then maybe. "You make your own entertainment and deal with what 'eye candy' there is. Which in this case... they all seem to flock towards the gardens these days. Must be something in the water." The last phrase was an after thought as he went to go take a step around the new guy.

"If you can't do that then I suggest you pack your things and leave now." Sure he could have just show the guy around and perhaps even welcome him to the place but that wasn't really Hiro. That would be doing something nice for another person.

Hiro paused glancing over his shoulder, "Why did you come here?" Perhaps his question would be ignored after his crude remark to the male. In honest he wasn't even sure why he'd asked. Curiosity perhaps. This punk could have all the girls he wanted, just not his sister.
