Follow these. This is a pretty basic thing, and I think we all can handle the responsibility of following these.
Literacy
I would ask for at least a solid paragraph per post, a paragraph consisting of about five sentences at the least, preferably more unless you love complex sentences in which case I'm not going to complain. You don't have to write a novel each time you post, just provide enough details for the person you are role-playing with to work with. I'm pretty simple in this regard. I won't say much so long as you try.
Posting
This one is a bit more serious. I would like everyone to maintain at least one post every week, if you can't then please inform me of the reason why. I won't be upset with you so long as you tell me why you can't post on a regular schedule. I'm a really relaxed person, I promise. Also, when posting don't just leave someone behind when they don't post right away. If you do feel like you need to leave someone behind, which I don't think is going to happen, talk to me and them so that we're all on the same page. I don't want anyone getting upset because they got left behind. That's no fun for anyone and it defeats the purpose of role-playing.
Posting Style
I'm not picky here. I would like for you to at least include an image of your character and their name in a posting format. If you don't know how to make one, I can make one for you. You'll just have to give me some time to make one. I don't want people to be turned away because they don't think they can make a good format. If you can make one, try to not ask me to make it because I have a life and posting formats do take time for me to make. I'm a bit slow at it, but I can do it. Also, typing in bright colors... it hurts the eyes. I implore you to not do that. I can read it, but PLEASE don't use a posting format where your written text for your character is a really bright or light color.
Roleplaying
Okay, important tidbit here. I do not want to see someone godmodding. If you do that, we'll have problems very quickly. I do read every post, and I will catch it, so just don't do it. I'll get upset, the person you're roleplaying with will be upset, and it doesn't end well. Also, I love to see peoples original ways of writing, however don't text talk or any of that jazz. Keep your writing formal enough so that it looks nice. I'm not a grammar freak, but I will notice if you misspell every other word. Also, capitalization... capitalize the right things, please. It really hurts my eyes. It's a bit of a pet peeve, but I can bear with it. Just try not to really mess it up, it bothers me. Also, I'm fine with romance, it's kinda nice actually, but if you start getting to far (and I'm sure you can determine that) stop. You can take it to PMs if you want at your own risk. I won't be held accountable for it. One last thing, killing people. Get permission. You just randomly kill a character, I'm going to have a problem with it. A big problem with it, mind you. Even important NPCs are important for a reason. Don't just kill them. I'll probably be pretty upset.
Originality
I LOVE THIS. Really I do. If you can take something and put an original spin on it, go for it. I'll forever love your roleplaying. It's pretty simple. Yes, this is based strongly off of FF8, however if you can be original with that I'll be really happy. This also applies for profiles. Try to not be unoriginal. Also, I will not allow for the use of most characters from FF8. I might make a few exceptions depending on the situation and who it is, but most likely, no. To take care of this now: No Squall or Rhinoa, that much is assured. You MIGHT be able to talk me into letting you play a lesser character, but I doubt it. GFs are free rain. Be original or not, I don't care.
Profiles
Fill out everything that's there. I don't mind if you don't go into the detail I or some others go into, but be as detailed as you fill would be adequate. It looks long, but several of the categories can be filled in with one or two words. It won't take long, I promise. You may color it as you wish. For approval send your profile to me and I'll look it over and tell you when you can post it up in the profiles thread.
