Selene sat in the window of the feli house, staring out in the awful weather that her wimp-of-a-father had forebade her from going out into. It was sad, really, that a kelpie like her father would fear her going outside. Perhaps it was he didn't want her blowing away in the wind, or perhaps that they didn't want her to be abducted by the strangers that had been lurking about.
Or perhaps they wanted her to stay away from the pond where her cousin was.
She'd only met the other once before, but she was fascinate by the now-merfeli. There was an odd attractive sense that Norman had, though Selene couldn't put a paw one just what it was.
Perhaps it was the lack of true emotion, or the fact that she herself, by inheritance, had a slightly evil streak in her personality.
Looking down at where her father slumbered nearby to keep her 'inside' the house, the kit smirked a bit, before hopping onto the arm of the sofa, then to the floor, stepping carefully around the kelpie, then strolling out into the hallway. Peering around for any other relations she may have had, she prided herself on there being none, then bounding through the flap to sit on the porch, waiting for the weather to allow her an opportunity to wander further.

Zeph had watched the moon Feli head on outside, even though the weather was terrible. In reality, he didn't really want to go out there, it seemed terrible, but saying that outloud would ruin his street cred. And he already had SO MUCH, being a kit and all.
He had more than his father, anyway. Like Selene, Zeph found his father to be a complete wuss. He spent most of his life hiding away in the forest because of one bad incident, or so he heard. Pitiful. Just pitiful. Zephyr knew that he wanted nothing to do with this wimpy father, his crazy mother, or his two sisters.
So carefully, he stalked after Selene, hiding behind things on the porch so she wouldn't see him. Not until the time was right to reveal himself of course.

She knew. Selene didn't know how, but somehow her presence, no matter how far away she was, was sensible to Norman. Her ears flattened back against her head a bit, this seeming to concern her for a mere moment, before she took a deep breath and simply did as she was told, being a good indoctrinatable little girl. When she stepped down from the porch, a gust of bad weather knocked her over, cuasing her to roll a bit, but just as quickly, she rose back up, and continued to trudge through the snow towards the pond.
She was right, she didn't need to fear the elements, they could do nothing to her as long as she didn't.
When she'd reached the side of the pond, she shook the snow off her paws and sat down, as if waiting for her next order.

Zeph's ears shot forward, his eyes darting to and fro. That had never happened to him before.. And he was NOT sulking, that's for sure. Haughtily, Zeph stood up straight and waltzed out from behind what he was hiding behind. Whatever this voice was was NOT going to make him look like a fool.
Still standing as tall as he could possibly make himself, Zeph stepped off the porch, following Selene in plain sight. She seemed to know what this was, and now he was curious. It said something about 'followers'. Zeph was nobody's follower. He'd have to set that straight.

Selene's ears perked to the silent voice, before she rose to her paws again. As you wish.
The kit took a single glance back behind her, now finding that there was indeed someone following her. How she'd had the half a brain to look into that was unknown, but she simply sighed, shaking her head, before turning and starting to walk around the edges of the pond, her paws having as little effect on the water, at least compared to all the howling wind and flying snow.
She didn't like snow. She knew that much. Studying the shack, however, she found it to have an oddly alluring sense to it, the same allure that a haunted house had for little kids. The moon-marked kit sighed a bit, before pressing one of her paws against the door of the shack, and pushing it open.
Selene took one more glance backwards, before walking calmly inside, and into the presence of her cousin, bowing her head respectfully.

The lake looked eerie and foreboding, he wasn't really sure how much he wanted to trust going anywhere close to it. However, he was still more curious than anything. Slinking down a little, he continued to follow, trying to ignore the wind that seemed to be trying to rip the fur right off his body.
It was then that he first noticed the little shack where the moon Feli was headed. How long had that been there? He wasn't quite sure, he hadn't been here that long, himself.
As soon as the other kit stepped into the shack, the wind started picking up. Zeph, who was having a hard enough time staying still already, decided it would be best to run to the bit of shelter. He was surprised that the thing hadn't blown away, itself. Once he finally made it inside, he collapsed onto the ground. He wasn't used to running in wind like that. As he lay there, trying to catch his breath, the larger maroon merfeli finally caught his eye. He slid back a few inches, eyes wide. There was something he'd never seen before.. It wasn't just that she was a merfeli, it was her presence. It seemed to demand respect, something he was very bad at granting.
