Dominance: is rated from one to ten.
One: Hardly dominant at all. These wolves are at the bottom of the pack. They balance out the more dominant wolves.
Two: Only a little more dominant that a One.
Three: There are no ranked wolves above the number ten in this catagory.
Four: There are no ranked wolves above the number ten in this catagory.
Five: They are smack in the middle of the hierarcy. there are more of these wolves than anyhting else.
Six: The Fifth, Sixth, and the Seventh may come from this catogry.
Seven: The Fifth, Sixth, and the Seventh may come from this catogry.
Eight: The third in command may come from this catagory. The Fourth nearly always will.
Nine: The second and the third in command usually come from this catagory. Since the Second and the Third tend to be very close in rank there is usually quite a bit of tension between them.
Ten: The most dominant wolves. This is the Alpha Pair.
Control:
One: You have no control, and you have to either spend all of your time with the Alpha, learn control, or be killed. All new wolves start here unless they were born werewolves.
Two: You are able to be away from the Alpha for a little while, but small things tend to set you off. When you get mad you tend to transform.
Three: You can spend up to twelve hours away from the Alpha. Your temper is also coming under control.
Four: A wolf should be at this stage by the time they are anywhere from four month to six months old. They can spend up to three days away from the Alpha, and their temper only comes out when they get angry.
Five: This is where a wolf should be when they are anywhere form seven to nine months old. Your temper only comes out when you are really mad. Werewolves born as wolves start here.
Six: A wolf will reach this stage of control from anywhere ten months to a year old. They are able to be away from teh Alpha pair for any length of time, and they very rarely transform because of anger. They still tend to get angry though.
Seven: A wolf will reach this stage when they have been Changed form one to two years. They never transform because of anger unless they are mad enough to release all control on their wolves.
Eight: A wolf with near perfect control. They are only a little more likly to lose control than a rank nine.
Nine: A wolf with near perfect control. They are less likley to lose control than a rank eight.
Ten: Perfect control. Changing because of anger still happens, but only once or twice in their entire lifetime.
Traditions:
Festivals: All of the elegible wolves (must have at least a eight in dominance and a nine in control) gather in the clearing where all of the males and all of the females hold two seperate tournaments to elect the next Alpha Pair.
It is arranged like a sports tournament, with individual fights. The last Male and Female from the two tournaments are the new Alpha Pair. They move into the house right in the middle of town.
Note: The current alpha is unable to participate in the Festival as he/she is responsible for judging.
Mating: The two Wolves that have chosen each other go into the woods on the night of the new moon. Once there, they cement their bond in whatever way that they have chosen. There are only wolves in the process of Mating in the woods at this time. If there are no Mating Pairs there, the forest is free game for any wolf.
Wolves will feel a pull toward the one with the best chance of passing on the werewolf genes. This wolf is not always the one that they wish to share their life with though.
Ravaging: Humans who are above the age of fifteen are given the option to attempt to become a werewolf every Feburary. They may either choose a werewolf to maul them, or one of the Alpha Pair will do it.
When they are close to death, the Canidates are taken to the Alpha's house to be watched. If they rise again, the Alpha Pair and a few selected members of the Pack(chosen for their control and dominance) take the new wolves on their first run.
The humans to be changes are considered carefully. If the human showa any sighns of a mental disorder, adn out-of-control temper or anything else that would be amplified with the Change will not be allowed to be Ravaged.
Initiation:When the new wolves have proven that they can control their wolves, or new wolves are getting accepted into the pack, the Alpha pair given them a piece of flesh. The wolf(or wolves) will eat the flesh and then the entire Pack will run together.
Alpha Power:
Every wolf can mentally feel the Pack Connections to some degree, but the Alpha Pair is at the very center of the connections. When an order is given by the Alpha to a wolf that belongs to the pack, that order can not be ignored by the wolf. The order is subject to interpretation though.
Example:
Order: You will rest here until morning.
Possible Interpretations: Sit here until 12:01, then you can go and do whatever.
The Alpha pair can expand or minimize their connections to the Pack, and they can give their wolves to any other wolf if need be.
Note: Alphas have the option to choose their Seconds, Thirds, and any other position. If the wolf does not have the dominance for the position, the pack will abuse them until the Alpha chooses a new wolf.
If the Alpha does not elect to choose their officers, they will be placed according to dominance, fighting skill, and their placement in the Festival.
