Sun Striker leaped into the air as movement caught his eyes. He swiftly knocked it out of the sky and landed excitedly with his paws firmly crunching into the ground. Excitedly he gave a quick bark before moving his paws to reveal a old leaf. His ears flattened and his smile dulled at the stillness, he wished he was able to hunt like the big wolves. The thought of getting bigger made his tail wiggle in excitement something about the idea was just to over powering and exciting. He gave a jerky turn and ran to the tree by the hill were he had gathered some berries and little remains to eat. He began to eat what little remains he had before he would start searching the land for more.
It was just then that he caught yet another movement just near the top of the hill he was sitting by. It was a rather smaller brown bunny that was hopping as it too searched the ground for food. Sun Striker locked his eyes on the rabbit as he slowly got up careful of his paws. As he got closer a small breeze picked up and he suddenly realized it was not in his favor.
With a quick snap the rabbit turned just in time to catch him and flee. He ran after the rabbit his smaller legs making it difficult to chase but still an opportunity. The rabbit's legs however were much faster then his own and just as Sun Striker got close it darted a swift turn into a hole. He came to a skidding hole as he huffed and pawed angrily at the opening.
"Darn! I was so close that time!" he growled as he slowly turned and slumped away. It was just then he also realized how far he had chased the rabbit. He was not quite sure where he was or where he had put some of the stuff he had gathered.
With a sigh he turned not bothering to find it but to just move on. As the day faded and night came he settled himself amongst some moss and large rocks that sheltered him from the strong winds that had picked up. He looked out into the dark night listening to the sounds around him till he felt his eyes get heavy. It wasn't long till he had become engulfed by dreams.

As the day wore on Swift River departed from her den, pausing momentarily to sniff the breeze. She caught nothing out of the ordinary from the scents. A good sign. With that she left her den behind, falling in step along the river as it wound through the forest. For a ways she continued this, following the river’s edge between tree and rock, however as it came to a short waterfall she hopped across it and made her way through the trees. This was a path she had taken many a time, perhaps to the point she could have done it while walking in her sleep, however a curious new smell caught her attention.
After a short pause to determine what direction it came from Swift turned to follow it to the source, silent paws carrying her over leaf and brush. Here the trees thinned, giving way to a more open area though it was not lacking in shelter, should one require. The scent was stronger here, likely they were either still within the area or had left shortly before her arrival, however she was sure it was the former. After a quick look around she came to find within a shelter of rock and moss a wolf pup. Swift took a hasty step back, nose raising to sniff the air. She could find no sign of other wolves here, at least not recently enough to believe the pup belonging to them. This struck he as a bit odd. A pup out here all alone?
“Quite strange.” She whispered to herself, moving forward once more to peer down at the pup. “Little one.” Swift spoke softly, gently nudging the sleeping pup with her nose. “Wake, little one.” While she would have rather let the pup sleep had he been in the care of another, or had she even smelled another wolf around, she was not keen to leave it all alone with neither of those being the case.

Night terrors of others screaming filled his mind and his body stirred in his sleep. He could hear a softer voice some where though, he felt something nudging him almost guiding him away from the nightmares that disturbed his sleep. It was often Sun Striker had nightmares like this, they reoccurred often. Never any images just sounds as though he has heard it all before. He finally let his mind draw itself to this new soft voice and found himself struggling to follow it. His eyes snapped open with a jolt as he quickly got up and turned to face what was no longer a dream. His teeth bared and fur bristling he looked still dazed from his sleep.
"Who are you?!" he growled as he clumsily made his way backwards from the intruder. His fur and eyes slightly softened at the gaze of a she-wolf he could see concern in her eyes but he could never be to safe. It wasn't like Sun striker to be so hostile but he had moments where it burst out and at times he was scared he wouldn't be able to handle these out bursts.
He quickly studied the she-wolf in front of him. She had a soft brown pelt like his own but different eyes. He had never met a wolf with two colored eyes before. One was a cold blue and the other a warming bright yellow. He noticed her tribal tattoos in a glowing blue on her leg.
