(Again, forgive me if this is already a topic/in the wrong place.)

Sooooo I was busy performing a small ritual today to encourage true love in my life, a pretty touchy subject for some but I felt it as a winging-it moment especially after yesterday's moon. So when I was just about finished with the ritual I was taking downstairs a censer full of incense ashes to throw into the garden, a "cup" (porcelain with a metal inside, chalice/goblet?) of water from the ritual which I intended to pour into our stone birdbath and a partially-burnt piece of paper also from the ritual which I was going to bury next to my rose plant. On my way through the house, home alone, I thought I heard my mum's car coming up the drive so I put the cup on top of our oven in the kitchen while putting the light on.

I'm such a clumsy little... the cup wasn't balanced, fell onto the floor and snapped at the bottom, splattering water everywhere. stressed

Well not to worry, I've fixed that situation now! sweatdrop But I made this thread because I want to know about any times when you or someone you know has been casting a spell, performing a ritual etc and something has gone wrong. From something tiny and random like messing up the words to anything big and bad (but perhaps hilarious) like I just did. Anyone?

A couple of things I guess.

I have left items outside the circle- like my Goddess and God candle sweatdrop

almost ran our of salt while casting.

Dropped my charcoal on the carpet at least twice.

Oh, I also left my book of shadows outside the circle before.

I prefer when things don't go wrong.

Ah, charcoal on the carpet, definitely not a good idea sweatdrop

I suggest never using salt on the carpet. I did that to form a make shift circle, and it took forever to vacuum up all the little pieces.

I've also lit an oil burner and discovered that I've let scraps of paper with the candle, so it started to burn like mad, making a lot of smoke. I drank and spat water at it, which didn't work, so I had to wait for it to burn out.

Not a magic thing, but I got a little obsessed with seeing things burning when I was using candles, so I use to burn plastic that I didn't need any more. A drop of plastic dripped down and fell onto my leg. I had to scrap the plastic off with a knife and that taught me to stop burning plastic.

Heheheheheh... I've had a few accidents with salt in the past, particularly when most of my ritual items were temporarily stored in the cupboard above my bed. When I tried to get something out of there one day my box of salt fell out and spilled its contents all over me, my bed, the items ON my bed and my poor startled cat sweatdrop

I'm quite the little pyromaniac, love the look of a pretty little flame and the feeling of the energy coming off of it! Once while ceremoniously burning an ex boyfriend's old love notes I accidentally made the flames a bit too big on the paper and had to flatten it in the burning dish quickly (at the time my mum was even less happy about wicca). When my mum entered the room she said it smelled like I'd set my hair on fire neutral
