Soft feathers played against the air as a girl zipped around the sky, her body throwing itself into loop-de-loops and twirls, causing adrenaline to rush into her veins. She had a natural knack for flying, after all, being born with wings she assumed it was a part of her purpose. To enjoy the sky, embrace the clouds, and the birds. Oh the birds, how she loved talking to them, hearing about the stories of their many adventures out yonder.
The angelic noodle set herself on the ground sluggishly, paws patting the ground gingerly as she slowed into a gentle landing, graceful as could be to the field below her. She had gravitated herself to a nearby tree, head gazing up to a tiny, feathered creature sitting on a branch in front of her, a baby bird to be exact. It chirped softly, almost as if to greet the girl before it.
"Aw, well hello there to you Gregor, how are you doing today? You getting your flying practice in?"
It chirped back, Hikari giving a soft giggle before her head nodded.
"Oh, I did see it while I was up there. That was a most impressive triple back-loop you did. I'm very proud of you. How's your mother doing by the way?"
The girl and bird continued to yammer on, passing the time slowly together, letting the sun move through the air as the minutes dragged on.

Appleshy: A lovely day in the park was and little Appleshy was enjoying her day away from the farm where her father, mother, and siblings stocked the barn with more apples. She needed this quiet time, her sister was just a bit over board with the must get more apples and it bugged her. Plus all of the animals that she protected and took care of, was well asleep for the long winters night.
Appleshy was coming along the walkway and heard the bird chirping, she listened carefully. His tune was great and she loved it. She smiled and walked closer to his sound. So peaceful, such grace, such....She paused as she heard a voice talking to the bird. She looked behind the tree and just watched. Who was that?....

"Oh no, I'm not sure if it would be such a good idea to do that Gregor. I mean- I know you like to eat them- and your on going war against them is lovely- but if you destroy all the worms, then who will help make the soil all nice for the flowers?" Hikari giggled softly, her head shaking as the idea of worm versus bird played through her mind, why she bothered to get caught in such matters was unknown to her.
As the bird chirped again the girl smiled softly, a paw reaching out gently to pat the feathery ball on the head. "Yes, you're a great friend Gregor, your mother is too. Wh-what's that you say? Gregor- now's not the time for joking, you know perfectly well we're the only two in this field."
Gregor gave off another 'chir', his little wings crossing as those beady eyes fell on the face playing sneaky behind the tree. He spoke in his language again, Hikari giving a small nod before turning her head to gaze in your direction...

Appleshy gasped, the little bird saw her. She ducked behind the tree. She sighed, she didn't like the fact that not only the bird was looking the young girl was watching in her direction. She gulped with a set of panic in her mind. Hopefully, they wont notice her...much.

No- there wasn't anything there, just the tree the bird was sitting on, a bit of fluff behind it, the grass, the sky... wait a minute. The girl's attention stayed still a moment, then rewound itself, focusing on the fur around the tree. Trees didn't have fur- that would be far too silly. Hikari gave a small meep as the idea crossed her mind- what if it was some mean ol' scary monster.
She gave another meep, zipping onto the branch where Gregor was, holding the bird in her paws as if he of all things could be a defensive weapon. Hikari's chest puffed as she spoke, trying to sound as strong and brave as possible- but only drawing a soft murmur out. "Wh-whoever you are- please come out from behind the tree- I've got Gregor- and h-he can be an angry bird."

Near wasn't used to being alone. She was to old to see Shadow right now, though she had every intention to see him again when he grew. Right now though... she felt strange. She felt like a creep if she played with him. So, she had taken to traveling.
Her tail flicked softly, wide eyes glancing about. She could see further than most, her cat eyes enhancing her sight it both daylight and nighttime. Quietly, she wiggled her whiskers when she heard voices, crouching down. V-Voices? That meant... people! People were frightening! Ahn! When she spotted an angelic she froze, unsure what to do, and then proceeded to just....stare.

The voice sounded like she was trembling. That made Appleshy nervous as a block of ice. She didn't like commands, nor demands, she just stood there. Then she paused an angry bird...She and the animals liked each other. She was not afraid of the bird. She came out and said, "You shall not harm the bird! He is a living creature" She stood there and quickly dashed as she seen another fox coming into where they were at.
She shyly stayed behind the tree.Hiding her face within her hair. She was getting shy-er by the minute.

"Harm him- why on earth would I harm Gregor? Gregor is my best friend." Hikari let go of Gregor, the bird giving a chirp and fluttering about, landing on her head and starring at Appleshy, head titled with interest. The girl started to quiet down, looking around quickly before moving further out on the branch. "Um- hi, wh-wait? Where are you?" As the other fox slipped around the tree to hide the girl stood there on her limb- stunned- this was a level of shyness she hadn't seen before.
Was there really someone more shy than she was? She pondered this for a moment, then started to look around, trying to catch a glimpse of what the other girl was so afraid of- but nothing, her view of the field wasn't very good right now. "Hey- I'm sorry I scared you," Hikari whispered softly, "Please don't be afraid- Gregor isn't as scary as I claimed he can be- he's really a nice bird..."

Appleshy just melted to the ground. This was getting a bit nerve breaking. First she was getting yelled at or the poor bird was getting threatened. And now there was another girl around. She was not very happy. It wasnt that she hated people, it's just that she was more like her mother. She and the critters was one. The only friend she had was Maika. Since they grew up together, they were practically sisters.
But now Maika, was off on her own adventure and now she was alone. Of course she had her siblings, but who wants to always worry about apples? Her sister and her father, and well her brother, he sorta disappeared. So it was just her, her sister, mom and dad working the apple orchard.
So now that Appleshy was alone and by herself, it was time to mingle but right now in this situation, this scared her, an angry bird and a girl that sounds a bit scary and now one that looks a bit scary.... She sighed and peeked around the corner, slight visiable.

Frowning softly, Near had noticed the girl looked at her with an odd expression. She almost ran away at that point, not sure if she was feeling more shy or more offended. Hn. The two vixens frightened Near, hear ears flicking back violently as she pressed into the ground, tail flipping around her as she watched them.
Hrnnn. Where was Selee when she needed her? Or her mamas? They always made it better, they always knew how to calm down the nervous wreck.

"Hello there- it's alright, see." Hikari sluggishly took the bird off of her head, placing it down on the branch next to her- before the bird took off, landing on Hikari's back, starting to slink in and nestle within her fur. "See- Gregor won't hurt you- I- I'm sorry if I scared you. You just-." Her voice started to grow quieter, the girl making note of this and trying to make her words clear as she spoke.
"Startled me. I wasn't sure if it was a monster, a unicorn, or something scary- so I grabbed Gregor for protection- he's a good friend you see and he'd protect me, just like I'd protect him. He doesn't seem very scared of you though- he's very brave." Her paw patted the bird tenderly, a small chirp of gratitude leaving his beak as she continued. "I hope you'll forgive me. She gazed at the girl a moment, before looking off in the distance again- why did it feel like she was being watched?
