[[No problem ^___^]]
“I was in the fifth division as one of its first captains.” Reikai immediately felt bad for asking; it seemed as if she had asked something that brought back sad feelings...“It was a wonderful place to me and the members were good people. I really enjoyed working with them.” Reikai could only imagine what it had been like to have been in the Seireitei during that time. She was one of the more recent deaths; or so she believed since she can't quite remember when it was that she died.
Time wasn't of much importance when one was already dead.
“I don’t know which division you plan on moving to, but no matter where you go you must promise yourself one thing-” Reikai immediately refocused on Nagi. “Don’t lose faith in yourself or your subordinates. Keep moving forward and they will always follow.” She nodded in understanding; but Nagi wasn't done. “I left because I was afraid of losing others and myself. I felt that a captain with fear in their heart had no right to lead others. But…In feeling that way I underestimated those who truly cared, including my own division. I didn’t know that until just recently. I feel much better now since it's all in the past now.” Reikai wanted to reach out and comfort him, but knew it probably wasn't her place to do so. "I will always keep your advice in mind...Thank you very much." She smiled at the ex-captain warmly.
“One last question for you, Reikai-san: Do you see yourself strong enough to proceed up the ranks? Can you handle the responsibility? Or are you going to become a twittery old git like me?”
Reikai giggled a little, along with Nagi's laughing. "I believe I am strong enough and that I can handle the responsibilities," She started. "But even in the future, near or far, if I falter, I know I'll have people I can trust to help steady me so that we can become strong together, as a division, and not just as individuals." She smiled a little. "And Nagi-san, I don't think you're a twittery old git. I think you're very kind and wise, and I would have probably been very lucky if I had been in your division while you were still captain." Then she ducked her head, fiddling with her fingers again, embarrassed that she had been gutsy enough to actually say that out loud.
