Gumi shrugged, “I don't really know...” She sighed and it was quiet for a moment. She hated being quiet. She smirked, “Are you sure the reason you're staring at me is because of my beauty?”She flipped her green hair and grinned. “Just kidding. But I am pretty beautiful~” She heard Piko say something about a clown fish and she turned to look through the window. She pressed her face on the glass and smiled, “I'm sorry for scaring you Mr. Clownfish!” She bowed to show her apologies. She looked T Piko, “Don't you speak clownfish? I saw saw you poaying with one when I came here.”

Piko looked a little puzzled. He never really paid attention to what people did on date many because he never thought he would actually get a date in the first place. "Hmmmm" Piko said well thinking. Piko went red in the face at Gumi's comment. "That is defiantly not it" He said quite harshly. He felt pretty bad after he realized what he said. He didn't actually mean it. It was more like a defense mechanism. "I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that" He said worried he hurt her feelings. "I mean you are really c-cute" He said quietly and quite embarrassed. He then turned his attention back to the clown fish. He laughed as Gumi apologized to the fish for scaring it earlier. "Do I speak clown fish ?" He said puzzled. "I was just looking at it and it came towards me" He said explaining what had happened. He then turned his attention to Gumi's hand in his. He still couldn't believe how soft it was. "I'm a bit surprised that your hand is so soft since you are an inventor I expected them to be a bit rougher" He said curiously.

Gumi ignored Piko's harsh words; she was used to it and she ignored it when people insulted her. "It's okay, I'm used to insults and rejections; it's all part of being an inventor." She explained. She blushed as his next comment. Most people didn't tell her she was cute unless it was her mom or dad or her girl friends. But this was the first time a boy had called her cute. "Uh, well thanks... You're c-cute too... N-not in a girly way, but y-you know what I mean!" She stammered. She nodded silently as Piko started talking about the clownfish, "W-well, maybe clownfish take a liking to you?" She asked, "Because you're so quiet and calm like the water." She looked at her hands, and blushed again, "Well, I use lotion on my hands so I can make sure I don't ruin the subjects. If I had man hands, I might break them or something."

Piko looked at Gumi concerned. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to say that I was just embarrassed so I kinda lashed out" He said quietly feeling quite bad about what he had said. Piko giggled as he saw Gumi blush for the first time. He thought to himself that she was even cuter when she blushed. "O you really t-think so?" He said well pulling the his scarf he brought just in case it got to cold over his face only reviling his eyes. "You think I'm quiet and calm like the water?" Piko looked at her well raising his eye brow well the scarf was still on his face. He pulled the scarf back down. "I don't know why but for some reason that makes me really happy" He said well smiling at the green haired girl. "Man hands?" Piko laughed at the notion. He gentle grabbed Gumi's other hand. "Defiantly not man hands" He said shyly. "You test is working already I would have never been able to do that a day ago" He said well blushing. He felt very warm and happy around Gumi this was a new feeling. Piko held both of Gumi's hands well looking to the little clown fish.

"Like I said, don't worry about it." She said, waving her hands, trying to change the subject. "Yeah, you're like a little brother, but not as annoying and loud. You remind the fish of their home, which is the ocean. You're reliable and they trust you. But I bet you get really angry and a giant storm happens sometimes, you know what I mean?" She asked, looking over at him. She grinned as Piko took her other hand, "Well, they may not look like man hand, but they can punch like a man's!" She said, getting into a fighting stance and punching the air. "Really? I never thought I was this helpful... That's good, Piko-kun." She looked at the clownfish, "I wonder if he misses his home..." She said, thinking of her own home. She terribly missed her old home and wanted to see her pets and family again. She sighed, feeling a little homesick.

Piko shrugged his shoulders and didn't say anymore about the subject. "Like a little bother?" He said well raising his eyebrow. Well at least it was the right gender so Piko wasn't going to argue though that's not exactly how he wanted to be viewed as. "I remind the fish of home?" He said well looking puzzled at the little guy. "I do not get really angry like a storm!" He said well puffing out his cheeks. "I mean I can get angry but I wouldn't say it's that dramatic" Piko sighed and tilted his head at the notion. Piko jumped as Gumi punched the air stating she could really let someone have it. "Remind me not to get on your bad side" He said well laughing nervously. "You never thought you where this helpful?" Piko said curiously. "Don't you do all kinds of experiments? I'm sure some of them would have been helpful?" He asked not really knowing much about any of her experiments. "Well I guess he would but he is safer here also there are new adventures to be found right" He said happily well relating to himself. He did miss his parents but he was also excited to see what was in store for him at the school.
