Reis heard the other trainer's proclamation. A forfeit... Certainly, it would be quicker and probably less painful. She looked at the small form sleeping inside the ice. They had come so far together, would they really want to forfeit this first experience? No, they should fight it out to the end, no matter the consequence. With a determined look now on her face, she called out to the trainer across the icy field.
"I don't think it would be fair to Jeanne to just quit after she tried so hard. Please, continue! It is a battle, after all."

Kayla smiled with respect and nodded. "You are right. I just thought I give you a way out if you wanted."
Snookie was starting to draw a mustache when Kayla called out the next attack. "Let's finish this quickly, Snookie and use Earthquake!"
Snookie pouted at having to stop drawing but closed his eyes, concentrating. The ground started to rumble. Kayla had to grip the railings to keep her balance. A large crack was formed under Snookie and started towards the frozen pikachu.

The ice containing the little pikachu shook and cracked, but the pokemon inside remained blissfully ignorant of the damage it was sustaining.
