With this senario you can vent here too if you want. OKay so I lease this horse Kendra. Shes the horse for me I just L-O-V-E HER! No one else really rides her except for me and this one other *@#$%^%#^%%$$****^&%$ kid named well i call him John. I hate him so much. Not other does he miss treat her by not cooling her down after a hot summer rider. NEVER EVER grooms her. He says how she is "His baby girl." and how "Kendra loves him so much" but he takes it to an extreme. and everyone at the barn notices it. Also if someone gets a new horse he always insults them and their horse by saying how he and kendra could beat them in a race and other s**t. Its ridiculous. and he knows how much I love her because whenever I'm grooming or saddling or unsaddling ANYTHING I do with her he is watching my every...frickin....move. Its totally immature. and he is 25!!!!! and he rides at a barn and hangs out with girls that are light 6 years younger than him. He even asked out a girl who is only a year older than me and im 13. He keeps putting on facebook how he will one day buy Kendra. However he still doesnt know that i lease her and one more slip up from him and im saying it. It sounds like im crazy but he does it all on purpose. He asks like he owns the barn even though he doesnt know s**t about taking care of a horse like grooming or bath. I just don't want to be mean or anything. How do I drive him away a little? i mean he is 25, lives with his mom, has no love life. This would probably would be best for him. How do I drive him away from her? Has anyone had this happen to them before?

When the lease is up request that the owner of Kendra only lease her to you. No one else would be permitted to ride her. This might mean you have to pay more for the lease but if you raise concerns about this guy to the owner now, they might be more likely to act in your favour.

Why is he riding her? What's his role in the barn?

His role in the barn is he is suppose to "help out" with minor construction problems. But really all he does is sit around and watch. However thankfully I have been using several techniques (some are mean, sorry) and they have worked. He has actually drifted away from her. He does do the occasional "Hey Kendra" snarky greeting to her, but when he does I repeat this to her and pat her, so she pays attention to me. I know i sound spoiled, but it was the only way. Thank you for your suggestiond.
