Stribog could see Halcyon prepare her attack and was a little on guard for it. However he still got knocked around by the loud cry. It made his head hurt for one thing and he dropped just a little. He then beat his wings down to get some lift and then was shooting forward with another Aerial Ace.
Alexa had to cover her own ears as the Hyper Voice made her ears hurt. She glanced up in time to see Stribog attack.

Halycon noted with some satisfaction that Stribog seemed to have to take a moment to recover from her attack. She was watching his carefully, and when he shpt towards her, she nimbly dodged to one side. As he flew past, she lashed out for another Fury Attack.

Stribog chirped out in pain as he was struck from behind with another fury attack. He quickly flapped away and stayed hovering quite some distance away. He was getting winded now and also angry. His mouth began to glow a light blue and he opened his beak unleashing a Ice Beam.
Alexa could see Stribog wearing down. The other Swablu was quite good a battling and also lucky. She really didn't want to see Stribog loose but at the same time maybe this would teach him to take training seriously.

Halcyon backwinged as Stribog flew away from her, so by the time he stopped there was even more distance between them. That meant she had plenty of time to watch him and dodge his next attack. When the bean shot towards her, she barrel rolled out of the way, and may or may not have flipper he tail cheekily at him. Keeping her distance seemed to work quite well, so she took a deep breath and shrieked another Hyper Voice.

Stribog fell quite a bit when hit with the Hyper Voice again. He flapped his wings to go back up but had to shake his head to clear it. He was running out of energy and ideas. Fortunately he had a trainer who was willing to help. Hearing her call out he opened his mouth and a purple glow appeared. Soon the Dragon Pulse shot out towards Halcyon.
Alexa couldn't stand it any longer. "Use Dragon Pulse again Stribog!" She yelled out. Maybe now he wouldn't get his butt kicked so much.

Halcyon was feeling quite smug at this point and wasn't paying as much attention to Stribog as she had been. As a result she only noticed the attack right before it hit. She tumbled through the air for a moment before regaining her composure. Right, she wouldn't let that happen again. She gathered her strength and shot up as high as she could, then tucked in her wings and dove straight towards Stribog at full speed for a Fly attack.

"Dodge it as best as you can!" Alexa called out, "And after it hits, go with Ice Beam!"
Stribog heard the call and nodded. He began moving but wasn't able to get clear. So he took the hit but opened his mouth and shot out a Ice Beam. Hopefully the female would be busy recovering from the Fly attack to notice.

Halcyon wasn't able to get more than a few wingbeats away before the ray of icy energy blasted her. She shivered and struggled to beat wings that wanted to freeze up from the cold, but after a few moments they warmed again and she was able to move more freely. Then again, maybe she could use those stiff wings. She rushed at Stribog as her wings became even more rigid, then coated over with the metal sheen of a Steel Wing.

"Watch out Stribog!" Alexa called. She watched as he got hit and considered her options. "Use Dragon Rush!"
Stribog let out a faint 'Swa' when he got hit with the Steel Wing. Flapping his wings hard he rushed towards Halcyon with as much menace as he could muster. He almost seemed to glow purple as he used Dragon Rush.

Halcyon was getting very tired now, and wasn't nearly as nimble as she had been earlier. She tried to evade, but was unable to get out of the way of Stribog's aerial charge. But as soon as he hit, she lashed out for another Fury Attack.

Stribog couldn't handle another hit and soon was falling through the air. "Bllluuu." He chirped faintly before fainting completely.
Alexa was right there as Stribog fell. She quickly grabbed his pokeball and recalled him. "Good job Stribog. Now you'll see why training is so important." She whispered. She then looked up at the other Swablu and smiled. "Thank you for battling him! I think he learned his lesson!" She called out.

Stribog's trainer was happy with her? That didn't seem like the usual response for a trainer whose pokemon just got beat up. But she chirped cheerily at the trainer in response, then turned to fly back towards her own trainer. Good thing her trainer was a healer; she was really worn out and could use some healing.
