Every group must complete the given form by going through the various routes of information gathering. There are three sources of information: The Personal Clues that were given out to each member of the groups (how these tidbits were obtained are up to the players); the Rumormill; and by Interviewing NPCs.
At the end of the event, each group will be able to present their findings and theories to those in charge of their Weyr. Any theory is welcome for presentation so don't be afraid if your investigation leans towards a less then positive light for your leaders!
The Rumormill
The Rumormill can be used and referenced as often as desired. It is a set of rumors in a randomizer. Some are useful, some are not. Every week more rumors will be added to the previous sets, increasing the number of rumors uncovered. There are rumors that may relate to player characters - these are rumors and not confirmed; however, how true these rumors are are up to the character's owner so feel free to treat rumors as either gossip or fact.
The Interviews
The Interviews are ORPs that last 1 week and will be lead by Staff. There are five zones with NPCs available for interviews:The Mess Hall, The Storage Rooms, The Rider Weyrs, Abandoned Rooms, and the Weyr Depths. The NPCs in these locations all have things to say and opinions relevant to your investigation but it is important to remember to think about what you've learned and take everything with a grain of salt.
The Personal Clues
These are simply clues given to each character who was signed up to the metaplot when they were open. Anyone can participate as long as they have an approved character and do not need to have been signed up.
A Note About Roleplay
The only required Role Play is in the ORPs, For the sake of the event, however, it is encouraged that the groups get together and chat and/or plot for their characters either in the main thread, an OOC Plot Thread in the guild, or even in the recently added Chat Room. The chats and plotting can be informal, formal, or semiformal as the groups choose. Roleplay outside the ORPs is welcome but should be finished completely by the end of the event's duration.
The Prizes
Every event has to have prizes yeah? Well this one does too!
First Place: The first place prize will be character art (lined, flat-colour) of all the members of the group (group shot or individual pieces). The prize will be awarded to the group whose theories come closest to the true plot. If they are all tied, the winner will be randomized via a dice roll.
Participation Prizes: Speech bubbles of your dragons' heads will be the prize for each character who achieves 15 posts minimum over all.
