So as you all know, life in general has been pretty busy for me lately. Amelia and I have pretty much settled into some form of a routine though which means I should be a bit more active again.
I'm going to have to start looking for a job soon though because my funds are running low and I only have about two more months of bill money saved up. I am going to look for part time work because Sam said that as long as I make enough money to cover my own bills (student loans, my part of rent, car insurance, ect) then he doesn't mind paying for everything else. My biggest concern is that in order to afford child care for Amelia that I'm going to have to work a lot more than I really want to. =
I really wish I could be a stay at home mom for at least her first year but I don't know how I would be able to manage that and be able to actually pay my bills.
So yeah - I should be more active again for awhile. At least until I get a job.
How has everyone else's life been?

louM11 Hello again! Glad you've got into somewhat of a routine now smile My life is good thanx, still house hunting though sad But fingers crossed we'll find somewhere soon! Yeah me too! Although, we were both sick this past week. =( I don't know where it came from either since we both sit at home. Either my mom or Sam had to bring it to us. Sam is getting it now though, so I am thinking it was mom. Still house hunting?! Have you just not found something you like, or can you not find something in your price range?

However - I have decided to do the best thing (but hardest thing) and leave Tilly behind for a couple of years, with my parents, so we don't have to worry about getting a garden, and can get a better property for the money we have. It makes me sad to think of doing it sad But I know it'll be for the best. We have 2 viewings to go to this afternoon so fingers crossed!

louM11 Oh that's not good hun sad Hope you all get better soon! Yeh. Both really. The market dried up over Christmas so we had been to view most of the ones we liked the look of. However - I have decided to do the best thing (but hardest thing) and leave Tilly behind for a couple of years, with my parents, so we don't have to worry about getting a garden, and can get a better property for the money we have. It makes me sad to think of doing it sad But I know it'll be for the best. We have 2 viewings to go to this afternoon so fingers crossed! Yeah, we are on the up side of the cold at least. I just hate that I can't do anything to help Amelia feel better. We have the sucker thing to get snot out of her nose and I've giving her baths and had her sit in a steamy room to try and help, but she is too little to take any medicine. I had to leave my kitty to live with my mom when I first moved out into an apartment with Sam because our roommate was allergic. It was really sad, but eventually you'll get to have Tilly back. Just remember that it's temporary. I hope your viewings go well! It is always really exciting when you get to have your own place. Sam and I can't wait to move back out again...sadly we have no idea when that will happen because we are both too poor currently. And I really think we want to wait to buy a house instead of renting an apartment again.

And yeah, that's why I want to wait. We originally wanted to build our own house...but I'm now thinking that getting a house and then fixing it to be what we want will be better. Then we could at least move out of my mom's place and have an actual home. Then we would work on one room or area at a time until it's perfect. And we wouldn't need as much money upfront either.

So we will settle for finding a place fairly cheap and fixing it to our liking. What's your house hunting status now? Did you put in the offer, or are you still thinking about it?
