Before Christmas, I have people on my friends list that all they ever do is gripe and complain about everything in their life. Going on with "$#%& you work!" and "Screw you [insert some random person's name]" etc.
I had two girls I can recall that did nothing but not type properly (im tlkin liek dis...) and go on and on daily almost every hour and ending it with "With my baby! Oh how I miss him! He called me fat! Meanie! <3 <3 <3"
The day after Christmas, I unfriended them. I took about 30 people off.
My goal: I wanted my Facebook to not be so negative. Sure, once in a while you post about something crappy. Or post once in a while that your guy/girl did something sweet on your birthday., I can deal with those.
These 30-ish people, I never talk to, they never talk to me. They sit around with over 1,000 friends and not give a damn in the world who was there to talk to, as long as they talked to them.
Now, some may recall my "foul-mouthed, redneck patriot cousin" post a while ago. As for him, I did not remove him. I just blocked his posts. But I do check by to see what crap (usually the same "NY RANGERS ARE BETTER! FLYERS FEAR US!") he's posting. And my feed, looks much more positive.
I figured, "Why not take out what is negative to see the positive." and I like the results. I'm not that negative anymore since I did it.
I figured I would share it with all of you. A simple Facebook clean-up can do wonders.
