Micahrp tombrend Micahrp there is an answer to the question about the answer and the question to the meaning of life, but its a math answer... type 'answer to life the universe and everything' into google. The calculator will tell you the answer. He didnt know?!?! how couldnt he know, every other seemingly non-sensical thing in the guide actually had a meaning.. the resturant at the end of the universe is a commentary on the hipocrisy of vegetrainism, deeply philoshpical comments on God the nature of ones view of the universe and everything else is everywhere, I cant believe he didnt have a meaning built into What is 6x 9 =42. especially when its such an elegant answer.. sad smile still love him. always will, I consider him my teacher on how to dance with my philosophy teachers. Only C++ says that 6x9 is 42. DNA said that it was 6x7. blaugh

crying crying I feel dumb now. In order to make amends with the grand kami of 42, I will commit ritual seppuku. Or maybe I will just offer this code, which is a C joke on why 6x9=42: #include
#define SIX 1 + 5 #define NINE 8 + 1
int main(void) { printf( "What you get if you multiply six by nine: %d\n", SIX * NINE ) return 0; }

Thanks to god, for Wikipedia is he.
I'm totally going to be struck down for that one, but hey, I'm shinto, so I guess that Wiki is a perfectly acceptable Kami.

I love all the references that have become quite common.. just shows how hitchhikers guide to the galaxy rules the world.
some I have collected..
-- There is a computer called Googleplex in the first book -- Babel fish - the translating website -- Trillian instant messaging -- Neopets has an item called Pan Galactic Gargle Slushie -- The coolest one -- what Google replies when asked, "what is the answer to life, the universe, and everything?"

Now, I can't exactly remember the Great Collapsing Hrung, but surely, since Ford's father has been observed to be the only survivor, then it is so - he once was in quantum flux, but is not anymore.

tombrend 5. There is an answer to every question and a question to every answer However, both cannot be known within the same universe, therefore for every question and answer pair you think explains something, either the question or the answer is wrong. Good luck coping with that!

Just lacking the answer, or the quesion, does not mean that what you do have is incorrect - it infact remains absoltuely correct, but mainly incoherent.

[quote="Miranda12] 6x9=42 works out in base 13
In an interview Douglas Adams was asked if the whole '6x9=42 in base 13' thing was intentional, if he meant it as a joke. He replied that no, he does not make jokes in base 13.
