Amy licked peanut butter off her fingers and wondered who her roommate would be. Even though she'd lived in the room her entire life, she didn't mind sharing her room. Snacks, on the other hand... She looked at the rules that she'd posted on her wall. Rule number 1 was: NO EATING AMY'S SNACKS, NO MATTER HOW TASTY THEY LOOK.

Alicia tentatively opened the door to the room. She saw the other lady and smiled. "Hi, I'm your new room mate."

Amy looked up. "Oh, hey!" From the looks of her new roommate, she was a teacher and not a student. In fact she recognized her a little. "Hey, you're the science teacher, aren't you?"

Alicia swung an arm behind her head. "Yeah you might say that. I had to move closer to campus. They put me in this dorm because I'm younger than most other teachers and.. well... they didn't really trust me." she chuckled.

"It's an honor." She said as she took her new roommate's hand. "So, you wanna do anything? I could give you a tour."

"Nah, I'm good. I just want to lay down and sleep for now." She giggled. "Oh and I hope you don't mind that I brought my special skelleton from home. It is priceless to me." She pulled out a smallish container with a cloth wrapped all the way around it.

"Oh, it's fine." She said as she opened her fridge. "There's no rule against skeletons."

"That's a relief." She unwrapped it and set it on an empty shelf. The bones of a small crocodile gleamed pure white in a small glass case. Alicia then walked over to the empty bed with a small suitcase and set it down beside it. She did a belly flop on the bed and sighed. "Ah. It's so good to be back in a bed that's un-cluttered."

"Good to see you're comfortable." Amy said as she dug out her bottle of sunblock. "I'm gonna go out for a run, ok?" She rubbed the sunblock over all her exposed skin and left the room.

After a while of reading, Alicia turned to her stuff and got out her sleeping cloths, went in the bathroom and changed into them. She went back to her bed and fell asleep waiting for her room mate to return.
