Nagi let out a deep breath in relief, took Yuki’s old-lady hand, and got to his feet while thanking her. He let out a laugh, unable to believe his luck. Although Babba would pretty much be angry with him for the rest of the day, her inability to remember the next day was inevitable.

“Babba-san is so funny.” He said while stretching to readjust the body he now occupied. It was feeling a little cramped in the shoulders after his hasty entrance. “I don’t know what I’d do without her sometimes though…”

Seemingly ignoring Yuki’s words, he reached into the pocket of his jinbei and extracted a key and set it in her hand and closed her wrinkly fist around it. He momentarily held her hand in both of his, smiling down at her. It was nice to have both arms again. Then he realized how funny he looked, staring lovingly into the eyes of a much older woman.
“You’re welcome to stay in my apartment.” He said, obviously not taking no for an answer. His face flushed as he said this. “That or you can drop your gigai off in there and wander around. We close the shop around 7. I’m sorry you have to wait around for me but the day might go by quick.”

He then glanced back at the tea.
“Oh… and maybe I could warm that up for you.” He laughed.

((sorry this is so short. ^^'))

(I'm going to assume that Yuki magically knows where to find his apartment!)

Yuki wasn't about to say no to someplace that might offer more entertainment than this empty room. Even better that it was a place that would allow her to drop off the gigai and walk around in soul form. She'd have to be careful, since she naturally let off enough Riatsu to attract hollows of all sizes for miles around in her soul form, but it would be a good workout, and a nice way to pass the time if she really wanted. She took the keys from her lover with much gratitude in her eyes and just as much love given back. She wasn't looking directly at her elderly form, and didn't even think about how odd it must look to someone who didn't know better. She covered his hand with hers and held him there for a moment longer, wishing to prolong the contact for as long as possible. She even pulled him down a little to give him another kiss.

"It's a date then. Your place at 7."

She didn't even glance back at the tea, as she nearly pranced out of the room. She felt like she was walking on clouds. Everything was so joyous and light, and beautiful again. She had been spending her whole time on earth looking for Nagi, and while she did take time to stop and smell the roses, appreciate life for what it was... It was nothing compared to this. She was alive again, like she hadn't been for years. Even the smell of the teashop, in all it's different aromas was new and exciting. She all but danced all the way up to Nagi's apartment, totally ignoring the odd stares she got from people in the teashop.

She opened the door quickly, and all but dumped the old lady body in the center of the floor, just barely managing to shut the door as her last act of corporial-ness. Being in his room was wondrous. While she hadn't been able to feel his riatsu until he stepped out of his body downstairs, in this room she could feel it radiating from every corner. He must have been there for quite some time for even the most tiny amount of energy that he rarely emitted to be ingrained into the whole place like this. And while she had planned on going out on the small town, just to kill time until her date, she found that she didn't really want to leave this room. The whole place seemed to embrace her, hold her tight like a lover.

It took her only a few moments to find the discarded book by the bedside, and decide to pick it up, even if it meant having to inhabit her gigai. This place just felt like home.

(Cue time skip!)

((Oh geeze I'm an idiot. ^^" Was I drunk when I wrote that!?))

Nagi bustled around the kitchen for the rest of the day in attempt to keep himself busy. Busy made time go by faster. At least in his mind it did.

Babba continued to not leave his shadow the entire day. He figured it was because she assumed he'd disappear again. That or because she wanted to figure out what was on his mind. His expression was possibly something to be concerned about he supposed. It wasn't every day when he had a dreamy look on his face. Try as he might, he couldn't get thoughts of Yuki out of his head.

It wasn't until he spilled a bag of tea due to lack of attention that she spoke directly to him.
"Watch it you fool!" she barked, looking as though she was going to brain him. "Ever since that woman left, you've been floating around the kitchen all day with your head in the clouds."

"My apologies, Babba." Nagi said sheepishly. "I guess I should have gotten more sleep last night." This was somewhat true, he was actually quite tired. Although, he was also harboring some energy he had gotten from elsewhere. He was careful not to let it come pouring out at once.

"Well, you got plenty today." Babba grumbled. "You're always clumsy so that's no excuse."

It finally happened. Nagi stared at the clock, watching the minute hand, slower than normal it seemed, creep its way to 12. The moment it did, he removed his apron and hustled out the door without delay. Babba had left the shop a couple hours ago like she always did. The elderly woman was often asleep by 6:30. Nagi always stayed behind to close up.

Darting outside, he went around the building to the gate and went up the steps to the door to his apartment. Taking in a deep breath, he stood still to collect himself for a moment. He was excited, no doubts there. He didn't want to rush in and make a fool of himself due to an energy rush.

This was it... He pushed open the door and stepped inside.

( Pishaw. No one I know would have said anything about it. It's a good post. )

Yuki had spent more or less the whole day reading the book Nagi had left by the bedside. When she saw it, laying face down so she could read the backside, she was curious. She hadn't seen Nagi in years, but he still hadn't changed, always having his nose in a book, smiling nervous and clumsy as always. In this room, with his Riatsu, the cool sent of tea that was always upon him, and a good book it was like he was in the room reading with her. It was a terribly pleasant way to spend the afternoon after so many afternoons spent alone.

But even with something to do, the hours seemed to crawl by. She found herself looking up at the clock, or watching the sun fall after every page or two. And the closer that Seven O' Clock seemed to get, the longer the minutes seemed to drag on. She was almost like a teenage girl in love, with the way she sighed lovingly and looked dreamily at the book, or occasionally rolled over to stare at the ceiling, dreaming of her love between chapters. She had hardly gotten through the first handful of chapters when the clock struck six. and from then on the battle to get any further in the book was long lost. She ditched the Gigai entirely now, unable to focus at all on the book, and took up pacing the room, eagerly checking the clock every few agonizingly slow seconds.

Eventually she couldn't take it any longer, she needed to calm herself, or the frustration and anticipation were going to kill her. Or at the vary least make her jump Nagi the second he walked in the door, and that couldn't end well at all. So she found a little space in the middle of the floor, thankfully Nagi was much better about cleaning the place than Yuki ever was to her own home, and started to do some basic stretching to pass the time. As she went along she found it increasingly difficult to stretch in her street cloths. She had long ago ditched her shinigami uniform, as she was no longer a soul reaper, in favor of more normal every day attire, and now her jeans where doing everything in their power to stop her from relaxing. So she did what any sensible person in a private room with no one watching would do, and removed them.

With that problem out of the way, she started the routine from the top again. The penguins on her underpants made excellent mascots for the whole session, making her smile each time she noticed them again. Now that she had something to do, and something to truly focus on, time flew by at an astounding pace. Each breath in, was a minute, each new position five minutes. It was incredibly relaxing, and Yuki started to wonder why she didn't do this in the first place, when she heard the knob on the door click.
Nagi was home.

She was just finishing up and was doing the splits just to see how far improved she had gotten since the beginning of her session. Leaning to her right side, her head snapped up and she returned to the neutral position just as Nagi walked through the door. A wide smile spread across her face when she saw him, and she brought her legs together so she could stand up. Her back had a slight crick in it, so she bent backwards to crack her back before standing up and almost prancing over to her love in excitement. Flinging herself at him, she forgot everything around her as she welcomed him with a shower of kisses.

"Welcome home."

At this exact moment, there was a click in Nagi’s brain as the thermostat of his inner self kicked it into high gear. Like a thermometer, his face went beet red from the neck up and nearly exploded out the top of his head. A subtle trickle of blood ran down his nose as a result. Needless to say, Nagi was pleasantly lost for words as the love of his life relentlessly held him, kissing him over and over again… in nothing but her underwear. Those PENGUINS! On top of that, he had caught a glimpse of her on the floor in a very odd position when he entered. This only meant one thing.

WHY WAS SHE STRETCHING?

This was the first thing that had popped into his mind. A bazillion questions seemed to follow after that. Is she preparing for something? Is this one of her tricks? Is she trying to KILL ME!? It wasn’t every day when he opened his door to be greeted like this. Certainly his initial reaction was predictable.

Nagi’s mind was racing to the extent of dizziness. Before he realized it, he had fallen over backward. It was no surprise to anyone that Yuki was much stronger than she appeared to be. Normally to him, she was as light and delicate as a feather but now her weight was ten fold. Not her physical weight, but her riatsu. It had over powered him to the extent of sending him off his feet. At this exact moment she seemed to also possess another power that drained Nagi’s energy like a kinky little vampire. He was no match against her. He had no choice but to lie there and take it. His sweet innocence had fled and his dormant male desires began to emerge.

It has to be a dream. Nothing this wonderful could ever happen to me.

His hands shaking a bit, he reached out and gently held Yuki’s shoulders. Her hot skin radiated under his palms and the pulse of her riatsu surged into his body. To him, they were waves of pleasure. Yep, she was real. Though he had seen her earlier that morning, he had been in such a daze for the rest of the day that he simply couldn’t come to terms with it. He loved her so much yet he was terrified that she’d just disappear like a cruel illusion conjured by somebody who simply wanted to see him suffer.

So be it. He thought to himself while holding her a little tighter. Any time I have with her is a time I’ll cherish regardless of what happens.

"Thank you."

It seemed to Yuki that she all but fell upon Nagi as he walked through the door, nose bleeding and red as a firetruck already. The two fell to the floor in a glorious heap of joy and bloody nose. Nagi's usually cold skin felt warm to the touch as he wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly for several seconds. Her only response to his thanks was to kiss him again, this time with more passion, and fire behind it.

Eventually she helped him up, and eventually the two went inside where they would be able to catch up in private.

(PG-13 blackout! biggrin )

((I hope you don't mind if I have Nagi wake up first Red ^^'))

Upon rolling over, Nagi raised his arm above his head to shield his eyes from the beam of morning light stretched over the room and across his face. Drenched in sweat, he felt warm but it wasn’t the usual heat he was uncomfortable with. He attempted to figure out why he hadn't shut the curtains the night before like he'd always done and rolled back over to face the answer. Lying there beside him, her tiny frame barely visible under the thick white comforter, was Yuki, who was fast asleep. Pale yet glowing skin, red hair in disarray against the pillow, slightly dry lips… this was natural beauty at its finest.

For a moment, Nagi lay there, staring in awe at how adorable she was when she slept. He wanted nothing in the world to disturb this moment. Unfortunately, it wasn't long before he began to feel slightly uncomfortable from the way he was laying. Very carefully, he sat himself up as to not awaken his companion. The comforter slid off his chest to reveal the stump of an arm on is right shoulder. Now it was no wonder to him why he felt so odd while lying on his side. He was back in his spirit form.

Glancing around the apartment, he saw his discarded gigai sitting next to Yuki's old lady one like a pair of oddly matched dolls. He hesitated about diving back into it for a moment or two before he just said "screw it" and found his shihaksho instead. The shinigami clothing wasn't too far away from the futon. In spite of having only one arm, it didn't take Nagi long at all to put on the undershirt and hakumas and somehow managed to do it quietly. Although the knot on the hakuma ties were kinda off, they stayed around his hips nonetheless. This was already going to be a good day- no klutz attacks yet.

Glancing at the clock, he was relieved that he had a couple hours to spare before his shift started downstairs. On a normal day, he would have set an alarm. He felt lucky to have woken up on his own- considering his track record of sleeping in. Deciding to let Yuki sleep for a while longer, he took the liberty in stepping outside the patio doors and onto the balcony where he leaned against the railing for a while. Normally he’d light a cigarette with a cup of tea in hand, but as fate would have it, a spirit was unable to do such a thing. Perhaps his idea would be made possible, now that he had the ability to go back. His idea was nothing but genius in his head.

Tea shop for the spirits- he’d bring back some goods from Soul Society and use them to accommodate the spirits that dwell on this plain. That way, he would be involved with both worlds in a good way without having to fight.

With that last thought, he lost himself into the horizon. He still needed to find a way to become strong again in those times of need. Now that his location had been revealed, he had to find a way to protect himself and Yuki from the possible danger that lay ahead. Las Noches may have fallen, but that didn’t mean hollows and rogue shinigami didn’t exist. They’d exploit him and his shop the first chance they got. Yuki was powerful enough on her own, but it wasn’t in Nagi’s nature to make her stay twenty-four-seven to watch over him.

Yuki held tightly to Nagi as she slept. It was almost as if, even though she slept soundly, she feared that he would leave, or she would awake to find he was just a particularly firm pillow that she had been holding tightly all night. Even after he left her, carefully and slowly she slept soundly for several long more minutes. But eventually she awoke with an odd feeling. Not that she was uncomfortable, far from that! She hadn't slept so soundly in a rather long time. It was just a feeling of something missing, something that should have been there. It took her a moment to wake up, slowly blinking the sleep from her eyes, but once she glanced around the room through blinks and rolls over she realized what it was. Nagi had left her.

For a moment her eyes flew wide with panic, wondering if she had just dreamed him, or if he actually did leave her and why he would do it a second time. But before she had the chance to decide how she would continue looking for him, her nerves were settled by the slumped gigai pair staring creepily at her from the corner. She smiled, taking note that Nagi's was still there, and rolled out of bed. Her clothing was scattered about the floor around the bed, and easy to find and she quickly dressed before setting out to find her lover again. The breeze from the open door alerted her to where she might find him rather quickly and she walked up behind him, quietly slipping her arms around his waist and resting her head against his back for a moment. A blissful feeling of peace washing over her.

"Good morning." She said, her voice a little hoarse even though she spoke softly. It was still laced with the sound of bliss even through it's rawness. She stood there holding her love for several moments before she spoke again, just happy to take in the warm of the morning sun mixed with the cool of Nagi himself.

(I suppose I have more that I could add here, but it would really stunt Buru's entrance, so I'll save it for later :3
Also, short post is short. ;;>.> )

Not too far away Buru had been sleeping in a cramped ally, hidden from both Shinigami and Hollow alike. His own spiritual pressure became so sporadic that at times it would completely fade away leaving him utterly powerless, to times when he could almost feel as though his rietsu began to rip his flesh off of his bones. For now however all was calm, the plates of spiritual armor would absorb a certain amount of energy and in the least keep him from literally exploding. A few lights here and there glowed dimly as his spiritual force bled out from his soul just barely now. After years of running, and endless fighting to the death Buru Riki was more than ready to call it quits. His empty and cursed dual souls became so incredibly daunting on top of the fact that his increasing power now became nothing short of a ticking bomb. Eventually he knew that he would not be able to contain his spirit and would implode taking out thousands of individuals with him. After this end he would with no doubt completely be destroyed. The last thing he needed to turn into was a mindless overpowered hollow.

Now more than ever Buru Riki began to see things the way they were, himself more-so than anything else. One word could sum up his entire existence... regret. Rage was his tool of power, and his tool of destruction, it dictated everything that he was. He had taken everything for granted and now there was nothing to claim as his own except for his broken zanpacto. For the past couple days Buru scoured this part of the planet for a few different individuals. Any one of them fit for his purification and he'd take any sort of cleansing he could get...

Let hell or soul society take him.

For the past few years he had lost the ability to think clearly, and he'd long since then been unable to speak or utter any sort of coherent sentence. When he parted his lips to speak the rage within would almost completely take over and he'd go into a wild frenzy simply roaring in rage, and loose himself to the anger that he was constantly cursed with. For a single clear moment Buru could think clearly, his spiritual pressure was vacant temporarily and he was able to speak, on top of this he was able to use a few abilities he had gained while being a shinigami, one of which allowed him to feel any nearby shinigami. Desperately he sent out a wave of dense spiritual pressure feeling for anything he might recognize. Within his faceless helmet his eyes widened as two familiar creatures were felt. Memories long forgotten resurfaced in a matter of seconds.

A deep rumbling growl echoed from the ally, "Nagi... Yuki..."

Turning in their direction he vanished from sight appearing in the air for only a half second before vanishing again and standing on air over their building, the teahouse sat so innocently...

Standing in the sunlight the two could only see the outline of his hulking form, unmistakably his long hair which flowed like flame gave away who he was. Perhaps time had erased him from their minds, however he could remember them as clear as yesterday. Standing he could feel his spiritual pressure rising again, another fit of rage starting to set in he had little time to explain himself.

The struggle in which it took to keep himself sane was impossible to explain, it was a challenge unlike any other, so with every amount of energy and resistance he could muster his deep animalistic voice growled at both Nagi and Yuki, "Please..." he lurched forward screaming in agony as a surge of spiritual pressure pulsed out like a crushing wave. Noticeably anything not solid began to give under his sheer presence. Then as quickly as it had come the wave vanished, and Buru still remained clutching his sides and heaving painfully, "You have to purify mm- - -..." again he screamed even louder and the crushing weight at least tripled, glass in nearby buildings shattered and left a few vehicles screaming their alarms.

The wave vanished yet again and Buru was now on all fours while standing on air heaving desperately. The signature dual voice echoed now as Hogosha desperately began to ebb at Buru's spirit.

In spite of Yuki's wonderful warm embrace, Nagi froze, his eyes fixated off into nowhere. A familiar riatsu had appeared from nowhere that sent the former shinigami into a complete haze. A dreadful, almost violent feeling washed over him, weighing heavily above his head like a ton of bricks. Besides waking up next to his beautiful girlfriend, enjoying a quiet, blissful morning, this was the day he dreaded the most. The day his memories came back to haunt him.

Although years had gone by since their last encounter, Nagi felt as though it had taken place just a few hours ago. There was a sudden spark that ignited within him. The muscles on his left arm tightened as a shot of riatsu emitted from his fist and into his chest. Slowly his hair began to stand and his right eye became dilated, black as anything. That cold voice was calling to him again, begging to be let out.

Now the subject of his nightmares was standing before him. There was now a ringing in Nagi’s ears from the lack of blood flowing into his head at this point. Feeling dizzy now, he nearly dropped to his knees and was prepared to use his only arm to keep his head from rolling off.

Then there was a voice. An all-too familiar one that he used to hear in his sleep. It never had anything good to say. It generally threatened to kill him or was shouting blameful words that tore him from the inside out. Right now, the voice sounded incoherent for the most part, but some of it managed to get through.

Was Buru begging for something? What was going on?

It was at that point when Nagi realized that he couldn't even move.
Why can't I control myself?
PostPosted: Sat Jan 28, 2012 11:46 pm

Yuki felt Nagi freeze in place just as she too felt the all too familiar presence of an old, old "Friend". Although she could only use the term in it's loosest form, as she only really knew the owner of the spiritual pressure from her lover... And from being kidnapped by his brother... twin... Posesser. All she knew was that he was in desperate need of some a** whupping revenge; And she was more than happy to be the one to give it to him. Her eyes glossed over in rage as she pulled all of her spiritual inwards, dropping the temperature of the surrounding area by several degrees, and making her skin almost unbearably hot to the touch.

It was then that the large man appeared floating in the sky, and made his plea. Her eyes narrowed so she could see his silhouette against the harsh rays of the sun. By this time she was standing upright and was staring the big man, having let Nagi go so he could stare dumbfounded at the object of her rage, or frozen in fear. With her love paralyzed, she was the only one left to act against this clearly rising foe. And Yuki was not one to hesitate. As Buru stuttered through his plea for help she shunpoed up to him and grasped him by the hair. The massive man lurched forward and afforded Yuki a better grip on the crown of his head. She looked down at him, cold fury in her eyes, and placed her hand across his mouth and chin to silence him. The obvious intent was to break his neck, for a quick clean kill.

"With pleasure."

The creatures head didn't budge, it was as if she attempted to twist apart an engine block with her bare hands. His spiritual pressure now visibly caused a great deal of weight on the entire surrounding area, the bending of metal and the new weight upon the bricks caused the buildings and ground around them to growl with near-breaking pressure. Simply standing even as she held on his large form would lift her off the invisible ground he stood upon. Even as he wore a mask that covered his entire face, she could tell Buru glared directly into her soul. "Revenge... and anger." he growled feeling himself release all of his spiritual pressure and become more clear headed, "Cannot destroy me Yuki." his voice husky and rumbled with an almost unbearable tone. The man grunted as a wave of spiritual pressure slid his form free of her grasp and as the wave exploded nearby windows and toppled over simple temporary stands the man stepped and appeared directly over Nagi, staring down at him he dropped his large axe beside the man.

Looking back to Yuki for only a brief moment the man looked back down, "Finish what you started old friend." his voice lowered into a growl and the sound of Hogosha's voice echoed behind his own, "End this nightmare once and for all."

Though Hogosha hated Buru with all of his being, he understood that the only way either of them could gain even more power, or to gain some sort of clarity from the nightmares he'd haunted him with for all these years was to be purified.

His spiritual pressure now pulsed as he no longer attempted to control it. It would be seconds more before every shinigami in the area would be notified to Buru's presence.

Nagi’s body continued to shake all over. Although Buru’s fearsome aura calmed itself a bit in his eyes, he was still uncertain of what to do. That was when Yuki took the initiative. His eyes flashing, Nagi felt something else jolt inside of him. Was it Tenchi ebbing his way out? Or was it something else? Though Buru was most likely not detrimental, Nagi felt the need to protect Yuki more than anything else. From what?

“Y-Yuki…” he finally managed to say. His voice started off weak but became stronger as he spoke. “You don’t need that blood on your hands. It’s tainted… I don’t want to see anymore killing. Especially by you.”

Feeling his strength returning, Nagi knew just what to do now. It wasn’t going to be easy, but he was almost certain he could pull it off. Pivoting on his heel, Nagi was about to run back inside to grab something but stopped short when he saw an all too familiar object leaning against the door. It was a wooden shinai- in one piece. Nagi found himself almost grinning. The zanpakuto seemed to know what was going on, repaired itself, and came to his aide. Perhaps Tenchi had changed over the years in a positive way. He had never been so attentive.

Taking hold of the hilt in his single left hand and turned back to Buru. Opening himself up inside, Nagi allowed Tenchi’s energy to flow from his arm and into the rest of his body. At first, it was an intrusive sensation but it wasn’t as bad as he had expected it to be. It was as if all the holes were being filled in his soul- the missing pieces had come together.

Pointing the tip of the harmless weapon at the man’s chest, Nagi then said “It will be an honor to finish what we had started.” In the pale morning light, it was easy to see that the eyes that were staring Buru down were cold, but confident. For the first time in years, Nagi’s right iris faded to black. He was now complete again. A familiar voice popped into his mind.

Nagi, it’s been a while, hasn’t it? I thought you forgot about me.

“I did… or I wanted to.”

a*****e. After everything we’ve been through, you’d just discard me like that? Looks like you were smarter than I thought.
The spirit sounded officially pissed off.

“What made you come to me then? Did you miss me that much?”

Don’t kid yourself, sunshine. Someone else told me to do it. They said it would be fun.

“Someone else?”

They gave me something that would help you. I wanna see what it can do. Trust me- for once.

Nodding, Nagi jumped up, landing on the railing of the balcony, then stepped into the air as if it were solid. It had been forever since he had done this, but it still appealed as second nature to him. He truthfully had missed the versatility of being a shinigami. There were so many feats he could perform in this state that he couldn’t ever dream of doing as a human. This was true freedom.
