Okay, since my last debate didn't go too good. I decided to do this because this generally makes me upset, even though it's nerdy.
I was watching T.V. the other day and a commercial came on, a commercial that said the word Funner! Funner is not a word and personally I believe that they shouldn't be allowed to say it on a commercial. On some shows okay, but not commercials that are being broadcasted nation wide so that little children can learn how to use improper grammar. I mean that just shows how dumb we are. We don't even take the time to present good grammar to our own people. A little slip-up here and there is okay like a sentence that ends with a preposition, but funner, really? That's going too far.

It's the media and I have little to no expectations from them anymore. When I started seeing commercials for Trojan vibrators and commercials that have curse words in them and showing way too much graphical content...yea. It just goes to show how downhill things are getting. There used to be a standard, I think, but now it's just ridiculous. Most of the kids I see aren't being taught how to speak properly anyway because their parents don't know how to speak properly.

One person I talked to said that her teacher didn't know how to spell the word write and marked off when she spelled it right. You'd think someone--maybe the moor educated or simply more caring people--would step in to put a stop to it. Surely, someone must hear the cuss words flowing from our children's mouth like that of the water after the dam has broken.

I told my grandmother the other day that she should have slapped the taste out of one little boys mouth. He was standing on the street talking to his sister. He called her the B word and then told her to suck his d**k. It's times like that which I miss the good ole days because my adult neighbor would have beat me and then my parents would have beat after they turned me in to them. But now n' days kids call the cops and the cops come and punish the parents for punishing the kids as if it's something wrong to do. That was a mistake right there. But, kids pick up from the parents and their environment. We all know there's a lot in the media that kids shouldn't be exposed to but people don't care anymore. They let their kids watch whatever. I totally agree that someone should step in. If that had been my kid at the school with the teacher...they would have been seeing me in the office the next day. I'm in class often with people who are going to become teachers and it makes me sad to know that some of these people will be in charge of teaching children when they can't even understand the most basic of concepts. But, like I said...standards have gone down.

You'd think that natural part of raising kids would be wanting to protect them, including from the pure stupidity of their own words and actions. To protect people though you have to let them experience some of thee consequences from their action like getting spanked and having their mouth washed out with soap when they use words like b***h and d**k before they're ready to, which is deffinitely not in freakin 2nd grade.

Oh yea, you would think that they would want to protect their kids. Though, in order for them to want to do that they have to find the actions wrong themselves. Which, they apparently don't. Then I know some parents do try but it's so hard to make those teachings at home stick when the outside world is just dumping a bunch of garbage over those fine teachings. I think it has to do with the mind set of the parents as well as them being there to reinforce whatever fine teachings they have, if any. I definitely see a difference in the parents of today in comparison to my parents. That's one reason why I never want to have kids. No way would I bring a person into this world with the way it is now. I watch a channel called Qubo and it shows some pretty good stuff. Old shows like Rescue Hero's, Shera and Jane and the Dragon. Shows that have those little moral lessons at the end of them. Don't see many of those on television anymore. Though I do think Shera's outfit is a little too revealing for kids. >.<

It seems like the Villians wore at least half way sensible outfits while the heroes wore mini skirts so short that you could see their undies with every stray breeze. That's really what we're teaching out children. If you wear sensible clothes you'll be mean and nasty and oh--yeah--no one will like you, but if you wear scandelous clothes belonging more on a street corner instead of school--well--then who wouldn't like you. And with the parents thing. I don't under stand how you could not find it wrong. Think back would your own parents let you talk like that, probably not. then maybe there's some reason to that. Still, it is hard to stick with all of the filth that is bombarding our kids not just from the media but on their way to school to. On high school buses you wouldn't imagine the filth that falls from high schoolers mouths and eventually falls from the 1st graders as well.
