Mark shimmered into an ancient thorn demon's lair. This was the same demon Matt used to go to for info, and Mark knew that she had a 'weakness' for fire demons.
"Well, well, well. If it isnt my favorite godson." she tried to move her old mouth to form a smile. "I expect you want something. You always do..."
"You know me all to well, and how can you blame me? You've always got your roots listening in to the whole underworld. Why ask around when I can ask you?" He laughed.
"Get to the point son."
"Ah, yes, well I wanted to know if you heard anything about who took Brook's powers. You see, she's a friend of mine and--"
The thorn demon cut him off. "Quit you're blabbering... You always did talk too much." She looked as if she was nodding off, but jolted herself awake. "The demons who took your friend's powers were working for...a friend of hers." She managed another smug smile. "They're being held in another atheme' in one of the lower levels of the Underworld. I'm not sure which, but I'm sure you can find it."
"Thank you for your help. I'll be sure to drop bye some time when I dont need anything." He smirked and shimmered away.
"Sure you will... kids these days... they never respect their elders!"

Maddie orbed herself and Jon into the Underworld. She wasn't hard to work with, but she was a bit obsessive at times. "Alright, where to start?" She asked Jon.

((Lets just assume Jon remembered to bring potions))
Jon reached into his pocket and pulled out a few potions; more potions that should normally be able to fit into that small of a space. ((got the idea from Harry Potter, which, by the way, I havent finished reading so dont give anything away.)) Jon handed four of them to Maddie and grinned. "Pick a cavern, and cavern." He was eager to start vanquishing.
((ok, I can start getting on again. I finally got my laptop in, so I'll probably be able to get on at most times of the day.))

She looked around and pointed to the cavern farthest to the left, only after glamouring into a demon, she'd seen and vanquished earlier that day. "Follow my lead." She told him, carefully. She lead the way into the cavern. She knew the elders would clip her wings for this if she got caught.
"We're here for an alliance. This is the brother of Roman. He will be the new great power of the underworld." She told the apparent coven, daring one of the demons to attack.
"Tristan, you always were one to cling to power. He's a friend, is he?" One of the demons asked, stepping up.
"Yes, Father. He is. He's also got an advantage over his brother." Maddie told the demon, laying her head on Jon's shoulder, flirting a bit and taking the potions out of his pocket. "He's doing this out of choice." She shot him a glance and hissed in his ear to trust her.
"I suppose. What is it you stand to gain from this alliance?" The demon asked, directing this question to Jon.

Jon was taken back and a bit bewildered by Maddie's actions. Plus, he felt a little unprotected without the potions in his pocket. Still, he knew...he hoped he could trust Maddie. Thoughts of Katana swaying Matt rushed into his head, but he shook them off. She was a demon...Maddie is a...well, I hope she's whitelighter. This glamouring thing worries me... I mean, whitelighters have the power to glamour, but so do some demons... Jon decided to stop talking to himself as he noticed the demons growing restless.
"Gain?" Jon wanted them to think he had been pondering the question, when in fact he had not, and had no idea. "Well, isnt it obvious..." He came up with an idea, but decided it wasnt the best one. He looked down and smirked, as he had seen many demons do in the past, so he could stall time.
A better answer did not come to him. "I stand to gain power. Order. Its true that I've hunted demons for a living, but I've gained a great deal of respect for them over the past few years, and a great deal of respect for half of my heritage. My mother, Fuoko, was a firestarter and a great asset to the Source." He hoped they would know who she was. "My brother killed her, and I've hated him ever since. Which is why I never joined him when he took power. " He was quite proud of himself for being able to come up with more and more lies as he went on, but waited rather impatiently for Maddie to chime in.

"But power is only the beginning." Maddie told her father, a smirk forming on her lips. "He intends on taking out the rest of the dicio coven, while mantaining their trust, that way when they come after the underworld they'll have nothing left to fight with. The youngest one is extremely powerful, but Jon has managed to gain her trust." Maddie said, looking proudly over at him. "The whitelighter doesn't suspect a thing." She told her father, admiring Jon.
"Enough." The demon stopped her, he hugged his supposed daughter. "You have found great power my daughter. Good work. You have your alliance." He adressed Jon.
Maddie threw the potions and in seconds the demons in the cavern were vanquished, including her supposed father. She looked at Jon, very impressed. "That was amazing. I didn't know you had it in you." She told him, changing back into herself.

Jon looked at Maddie with an extreem look of confusion. "If you were gonna blow them up anyway, why go through the song and dance of getting them to trust me? I dont like having the think on my feet... I'm usually pretty slow when it comes to things like that." He hoped Maddie wouldnt mention the fact that he was slow in coming up with a whole shpeel.
Jon dug into his pockets. "I'm all out of potions." He had a look of childlike dissapointment, probably from the fact that Maddie had killed all the demons without him. He was itching for a vanquish.

She handed him several potions. "Because the second he said alliance he informed demons of your power. Chameleons." She told him, with a smirk. "Don't worry. We've got several more vanquishes in about 3... 2... 1.." She mumbled forming back into the same demon princess she'd been several moments ago.
Several more demons shimmered/flamed in. "Where's the boss, Tristan?" They asked her, obviously eying her.
Maddie smiled. "Here he is." She said, introducing Jon to the demons. "3 of the most influencial demons in the underworld, apart from my father and me." She told him simply. "You're going to help us, are you not?" She asked them, calmly.
"Of course." He told her. "I'm sure we can work out some kind of payment." The tallest demon told her, clearly eying her.
Maddie laughed hollowly, "You wish we could figure out payment that involved me." She told him, glaring as she advanced on him. "You will do as he says or your payment will be death." She muttered, picking him up by his throat.

Jon decided to take charge. It was, however, what he was pretending to do, so he figured he'd have some fun with it...and of course get in a little payback for Maddie's vanquish of all the demons.
He sent a gust of wind into the area of Maddie's grip on the demon, causing her to drop him. "Now now, Tristan. We wouldnt want to hurt our good friends here... not on the first day at least." He smiled.

"Of course we wouldn't." Maddie told him grudgingly as she took a step back to Jon's side. "Only if there's a question loyalties would we want to destroy you. That wouldn't be a question would it, Damien?" She asked him, glaring over at him.
"Of... of.. course not Tristan. I'm always on your side." Damien stuttered and stood to his feet.
"Go. I want an army of demons. When they're riled up bring them to my quarters." She told him, dismissing him.
He flamed out with his friends.
"We've got work to do." She told him, side-stepping the fact that she let them leave without vanquishing them. "If we're going to vanquish those armies we're going to need a lot more potions." She told him, seriously. She hoped he didn't ask about her apparent alter ego. It'd been something she'd been working on for quite some time.

Jon stared at Maddie with a look of utter confusion on his face. He wasnt mad, so much as worried. "A-a-armies? Um... Ma-Tristan," he didnt know who would be listening. "Matt may have left me a big reputation, but that doesnt mean I actually have one. I dont know anout armies..." He was rambling, and he knew it.
He held his hand out for Maddie to orb them out, expecting her to not say much about their current situation. She was a bit mysterious when it came to things like that... that or Jon just wasnt smart enough to figure her out.

She took his hand and orbed them out and back to Jon's house. "The armies aren't going to be used. You said you were itching for a vanquish, I'm setting one up that you'll never forget." She told him, smirking a bit as she orbed.
