So, I got Skyrim for Christmas, and I'm loving it! I'm currently playing an Imperial who is in the Dark Brotherhood. Obviously, he's stealthy > biggrin

Any fellow Skryim players? Have any stories, experiences, etc? Feel free to share anything Skyrim related here!

I was tempted to get Skyrim.
But if it's anything like Dragon Age, I'll pass.
Though I did watch my friend play it and it looked all right..

I personally think you should at least give it a try! Although, I do have to warn you, you may get slightly agitated because the missions and inventory are on their own separate menus (start for the Missions, B/Circle for the Inventory, Spells, Map and Skills).

Also, I found it odd that your max level ends at 81... I understand why, but it always bugged me =/

I hate low level caps...
But apparently it takes forever to get there.
Which system should I buy it for?
I was thinking either PS3 or PC, depending on which has the least bugs.

I can take forever to get there. But what makes it a bit faster is the different Sign Stones (or whatever they are called). What those are is basically like the different signs you chose on Oblivion. Although, I think the Mage, Warrior, and Thief Stones are the only ones that do different things than they did before.

If you choose any of the three that was mentioned before, your skills that govern the Warrior/Mage/Thief paths level up faster (i.e: Smithing for Warrior, Destruction for Mage, and Lockpicking for Thief all level up 25% faster providing you chose the matching Stone).

Also, there's no "Class system". You just choose what abilities you want to level up and do it (All abilities count for one point toward your next level). I personally like that better, but it's whether you like it or not...

But to answer your question about the console preferences, I haven't played it on PS3, but if I would have to choose one, I'd get it on PC providing you have a good computer to play games on. That, and if you like to mod your game on a different save, then you can do that as well.

Actually, smithing and marksman are covered by both the warrior and thief stones. Much like enchanting is covered by both the warrior and mage stones. Oh, and if you're going heavy armor, Deadric stats are better and imo, looks better. If you're going light armor, beat the thieves guild quest line and get nightingale armor (imo it looks better than the DB armor). And yes, it is pretty tough to get to the 81 level cap. I've played for over 70 hours on my character and she's only level 37 so... yeah. Smithing is 100, Marksman is 78, Light armor is 56, etc. I've also done my best to avoid the main storyline with that character. Level 37 and haven't even talked to the grey beards 3nodding
Oh, and I'd get Skyrim for PC. I have it for 360 and it's great, but I get all Bethesda games for PC due to the massive modding community. I mean, I got Fallout New Vegas for PC and began to mod it, now I can't even play it for 360. I'm all like, Y U NO SPRINT?! Y U NO HAS GODLY WEAPONS?! Y U NO HAVE SKIMPIER CLOTHES?! Y I TALK IN MEME?!
But seriously, get it for PC. I can recommend a great site for Mods that is safe, and very community friendly.

Hmm... I never considered counting Smithing and Marksman to be in both the Warrior and Thief at the same time, nor Enchanting for both Warrior and Mage. I guess it makes sense now that you pointed it out. sweatdrop

I'm playing 2 Characters at the moment: A level 3 Breton for my College of Winterhold (Mage's Guild for this game) questline, and my level 8 Imperial Thieve's Guild questline. I would be high leveled on both, but I hardly have time to play games anymore since I'm focusing on getting all my college stuff prepared this year before I graduate. Sucks a** bro D=

I think it is kind of redudant to have a Dragon Armor that requires 100 smithing to even make, but yet by the time you can make it, you realize Daedric is better... isn't the only difference in the two is that Dragon comes with enchantments or something? I'm going by what a friend told me, so correct me if I'm wrong...

Dragon doesn't come with enchantments. No armor or weapon does, unless found. Deadric stats are better and it looks better, imo.

I like the dragon plate armor for heavy, and the nightingale armor for light. Even though I like to run around act like I'm yelling "I'm Batman!"
