My name is Jessica, but people call me Grizzly (Bear).
I'm a full time English Education major, thinking about cross-majoring in Meteorology. I live in the Panhandle of Florida, and I've lived here all my life.
I work in the Grooming Salon at Petsmart. : )
My favorite dogs are big AND fluffy.
(Newfoundlands, Malamutes, Huskies, Saint Bernards, and ESPECIALLY Great Pyrenees and German Shepherds...)
I have a German Shepherd named Kaya, five cats, Bootsey, Noel, Phill, Hammi, and Pippin, and do cat rescues.
(We're currently fostering too many kitties...)
I plan on getting a second German Shepherd next year for Protection and/or Search and Rescue.
I'm really glad to get to be a part of this guild! Thanks so much for the invite.

Have you talked to the S&R groups in your area? That sounds so rewarding to me--I'm jealous.
What kind of GSD were you looking at for your next dog?

Latrans Have you talked to the S&R groups in your area? That sounds so rewarding to me--I'm jealous. What kind of GSD were you looking at for your next dog? I love your sig, btw.
I've spoken with the local Sheriff's Department S&R team, and I'm hoping to join up with a regional team instead. (More experienced)

Well I've lived in Florida all my life, and grew up with hurricanes and supercell thunderstorms being a regular routine, so I'm just fascinated at how it all works, and influences the weather in a net all around the earth. 3nodding

Saddled, traditional markings, 100+lbs, if by lines you mean breeders, haven't figured that out yet, and I'm thinking medium coat like my female. Long coat would be too much hair and I want something more than a short coat. 3nodding
