Rules

((Please keep in mind that each Role-Play has (or may have) a different set of rules, though this one is still required to follow))

Basic Role-playing Rules

1. Please remain as active as you can. I understand you have lives, we all do. But please if you’re going to be gone for more then two or three days, tell us.

2. Rating: pg13
[ Keep it half-decent.] Yes MxM, FxF, and regular relationships are allowed.

3. You can play as many characters as you can keep active. We're not restricting you to one or two. [But keep them active please!] You’ll need to have each one approved by posting your profile for each. Please post them on the profile thread.

4. Keep in character in the role play, as much as you can. Ooc is for your Ooc needs. (so go to the Chatterbox for that)

5. Do not start role-playing until after you've posted your profile(for the rps that ask for them). You must wait for either me or another MOD to approve.

6. No advertising.

7. Use clear, precise language, and always be sure of the meaning of a word or synonym before using it. No chat speak. At All. And, of course, only in third person. First person will be disregarded.

8. Do not power play, god mode, etc. Hopefully, you're not new to role-playing and know what this means.

9. Watch spelling and grammar. Be literate, please and thank you. [I do understand if you can't spell well. But if you have have spell check, please use it.]

10. General etiquette rules are to be followed. Don't spam. Don't interrupt plots. Don't try to hijack a plot/role play. [Also, don't get a smart a** attitude.]

11. Please stay on topic. The role play flows a lot more smoothly that way. Make an O.o.c. thread if you have to. Just stay on topic.

12. No placing actions in anything other than /complete/ sentences (ie. *wolf is running* )

13. Remember: Your character doesn't read the posts, it is in the world of the posts. That means: If you know something that your character shouldn't know (like a thought or an action), please refrain from mentioning that s/he does. (ie. Bob plots to kill Jim. Julie has a feeling that Bob wants to kill Jim and tells him. - how on EARTH would your character know that unless it was told to him/her? ) Your character only knows things within its plane of knowledge, not others (unless it's a mind-reader).

14. Unless the role-play calls for it, please keep within the boundaries of the 'world' that you're role-playing in. (ie. You are playing in a natural role-play with realistic wolves and behaviors. Your character shouldn't be purple with blue polka-dots and be able to fly. It should follow the general atmosphere of the role-play.)

.:WHEN ROLE-PLAYING, TYPE THIS WAY PLEASE:.
Italics=character's thoughts/dream Example: I wonder who that could be..
Caps=character's yelling Example: "STOP IT!"
Quotation Marks=character's speaking Example: "Do I know you?"
Regular=character's actions Example: He drinks a gulp of water.
Double Parenthesis=personal thoughts and comments of the role player Example: ((I'm leaving for now, bye!))
