_______________⚜___ Come here, come close! I have a story to be told!
You don’t know who I am, and you want to hear my whole life story? How imprudent! If you must know, my family (the De La Fountaines) came to this area from France. Naturally that means I’m bilingual, but I’d prefer it if everyone here spoke French as well, and not the ghastly tongue of the uneducated (I mean English). Anyway, my father moved us to an apartment in the city for work. Supposedly it was to have all the advantages of the modern world, but it was truly a modern monstrosity, completely devoid of class or charm. I was forced to grow up in these pitiful circumstances nearly alone, as my father was always busy with work and my mother was forever hosting her frivolous little parties. The only one who ever kept me company was my brother…but I don’t want to talk about him now. There was also another girl, the daughter of a friend of my fathers, who was something of a companion, but she was dreadfully boring. Actually, she’s the reason that I first came to Raynebow Valley. I was very curious to see how someone with such a similar upbringing would survive in such a base environment. To my absolute shock (and horror), I found the quaintness of the village adorable, even if most of the people were trite and silly. However, that girl moved away, and she was really the only thing keeping me there. I suppose I could have called her…my friend. After that though, I found the town’s scenery to be obscenely gaudy. So I packed up, and heading across the river, discovered the stately villa that is Monotone Springs. I figured my presence would be refreshing in a world that knew nothing of color, and just as little about beauty.

I‘m not sure why, but people often call me difficult. In my opinion, it‘s just that those silly, simple people cannot understand a person of such great consequence. It‘s just that my way is the right way, that‘s all. Also, I am a lady, and as such I think I should act like one. There‘s no sense in me getting my hands dirty when there are men around for such menial tasks. Honestly, girls these days thinking it’s proper to run about doing whatever they please…don’t they worry about what people with think? Knowing how they live, they probably just don’t know any better. But no matter how many times I try to correct their ways, they get very agitated. It’s hard being a savior of civilized behavior.
