Tomarrin's fighting stats

Intelligence: 1% Tomarrin stirred as he waited for the starting bell to sound. He was already having his second fight, and he was hoping it would go as well as his first. The muffled hum of the crowd was making his blood sing, and he knew one day he would be a champion! Wouldn't that be cool? His human would be so proud... not that his human wasn't proud. In fact, Toma didn't think his human would be that upset if he lost. He was still a young human, and definitely not as cruel as some humans if other Mokai's rumors were to be believed.
He wondered what his opponent would be like this time; tiny and swift on his or her paws? Large and bulky, with tons of brute strength? He shifted from paw to paw and whined, the energy he felt was practically spilling out of him. And then the chutes suddenly opened! He bolted forward, paws hitting the ground soft and quick. When his blue gaze finally found his opponent he couldn't help but grin, it was that female again! He wondered if it was rare or not to be paired up with the same mokai so soon after their first fight... or were these things planned? He'd have to ask someone more experienced.
He moved to the left, to get himself out of her direct path as he thought quickly of what he'd like to do, all the while still moving swiftly. He lunged forward, aiming to knock her off of her paws with his own paw going for one of her hind legs.

Eri's Fighting Stats

Intelligence: 1% Even though she had lost her battle the other day, Eri found herself being led to the compound by Lila. Today she would do better! She had too! She had met Lila’s other mokai, Link, and asked him how he did it. She was confused really by his response. ‘Just have fun,’ is what he told her. Eri’s previous owner did not have that kind of mentality. It was something that she needed to win, if not, she was screwed.
Having this advice on mind confused the young mokai. Should she follow the ways of her old training, and take the tips of the mokai who had been in the settlement longer than she had. Obviously she had failed with her previous tactics in her last fight, so something needed to change.
Being pushed into the chutes, she waited until the clanging of metal opened, revealing the pit she had just been in not so long ago.
There, she spotted her opponent. She couldn’t help but flash a smirk of who it was.
If there was any chance to redeem herself, now was that chance.
She lunged at the male, determination evident on her mind. She would not let him get the upper hand today! She saw him aiming for her legs, jumping up just in the nick of time before landing on the ground.
“I’m not going down that easily today.” Eri said confidently.

Intelligence: 1% He skid to a stop and jerked around to face her as she hopped away from him. Damn! Oh, was she speaking to him? Her voice wasn't bad, he liked it. He wanted to respond to it... but speaking was a big no-no. He always found it to be distracting, and if he was distracted than he couldn't win, could he? He instead flashed her a grin which clearly read, you think so? Maybe some other day he'd be able to speak to her.
He didn't give her time to say anymore though, because he lunged again, this time he used his whole body to crash into hers, meaning to send her flying off of her paws. He included a warning growl, a growl that would let this female know that he was serious and hopefully to keep her from speaking again.

Intelligence: 1% So, he was the silent type. Eri frowned when the other didn’t speak. Both were silent last fight too, she couldn’t even get his name. She huffed a bit, narrowing her eyes. She watched him, his own orbs appearing to be the voice for him. Maybe this mokai was a mute? It would explain a lot if he was. She gave him a curt nod, emphasizing that she /knew/ so.
She braced herself for his oncoming attack, knowing from the last fight that she wasn’t as quick as him. She needed to couldn’t avoid an attack, but she could at least brace herself for something that wouldn’t be as much as an impact.
Eri was wrong. She had underestimated his strength just a little as she flew towards the ground. Wincing, the female stood on shaky paws. She stumbled a step, before charging at the male. She wanted to take a bite out of him, make him pay for knocking her to the ground.

Intelligence: 1% When he crashed into her he stumbled forward, getting off balance. Despite this he could feel himself grinning, it had been a good hit! He shook his head as he steadied himself, but she was up faster than he expected. She was slamming into him now, and he could feel her teeth tear into his shoulder. He half snarled and half yelped, trying to twist away. As his twisted he brought his paw up to strike at her face. She'd improved in a such a short time! That was exciting for him... either that or she had just ha some poor luck their last fight?
Once he was able to get away he paced a few steps back from her, growling. He glanced quickly to his shoulder; it was bleeding. He began to circle her, panting slightly as he calculated what to do next, and tried to anticipate what she'd do as well.

Intelligence: 1% There was no lying, Link’s advice was definitely working. She was actually having fun, yet she was still holding her fighting mentality. When her jaws connected to flesh, she wanted to yip out with joy. She didn’t however, knowing that she needed to stay focused, or else the fight would be over very soon, with her on the losing end of the stick.
She let go of her catch when a paw came striking towards her. Not able to avoid it completely, she took the small stubby nails as a warning, backing off the mokai’s shoulder, preparing for another move.
Eri eyed the other’s shoulder, noting the damage she had done. It wasn’t deep, nor would it likely scar.
“You’re move.” She said aloud, smirking.

Intelligence: 1% He snorted as she spoke again, and shook his head just slightly. They seemed to be more evenly matched this time around, the fight was still enjoyable even though he was less sure of how he was doing this time. He breathed out a blast of air from his nostrils at her comment and braced himself. He scratched his claws into the dirt as he lunged forward for the female once more.
He aimed for the right of her, but jerked left at the last possible second he could, hoping it would get her footing off. He snapped at her side, hoping to have the feel of flesh in his mouth.

Intelligence: 1% Watching him head towards the right, Eri was sure that was where he was to attack. But, veering at the last moment had caused her to gasp, eyes widening when she felt teeth sink into her flesh on her shoulder. She cried out, instinctively reaching down at the male for a counter bite attack on his neck. If he wanted to grab at her, then she would too.
The difference in places though, was the neck was a little more sensitive than the shoulder. Once she latched on, she would not let go of the mokai, no matter how many times he dropped down and kicked at her. She wanted to take him down, and made sure he stayed down until the end of the battle.

Intelligence: 1% As she bit down on him in turn he snarled, jaws opening as he let go of his side. He dropped all of his weight down on purpose, trying to cause her surprise enough to let go. He jerked and tried to kick his legs up into her stomach, one of his favorite movies. The stomach was such a soft, delicate and easy target. More so than the neck, maybe. But he felt slightly panicked with her teeth sinking into his throat, even though the bite wasn't that deep or in any dangerous area.
He kicked a few times, though when he'd dropped his weight down he wasn't expecting her to crash on top of him and stay there. It looked like her till to beat him was strong, but so was his! He gave a few more fearsome snarls, but it seemed she wouldn't let go!

Intelligence: 1x10 = 10% Even though the male was trying to get her off him, Eri held on with a vice-like grip. She hit the ground a few times, feeling herself being shaken up. She certainly was going to feel this in the morning. The final time he had kicked at her stomach, she let go, spitting out a bit of blood from the other’s neck.
She really didn’t enjoy the taste of copper on in her mouth.
Eri took an inhale of breath, calculating her next move. Her last one was a success; she wanted to make the finale something better! Charging for the male one last time, she dive-bombed his legs, wanting to bring him down.
She was out of time though. Mid charge, the bell had sounded. Eri was sent to a halt, sliding across the dirt with a dust trail. She hadn’t stopped so fast in a while. Panting lightly, she looked over to her human, who seemed to be quite happy. That must have meant she did well! Her tail wagged a bit, looking over to Toma.
“Fight’s over. Think you can at least tell me your name?” She asked, before the humans called her to come. She waited until the other spoke, hoping he would.

He felt himself tense up and brace himself as she suddenly charged again. He bared his teeth, planning to hit back as she came forward, but then the bell dinged. He let out a deep breath and relaxed, though he couldn't help but feel a little disheartened. He had not won this time, but the fight had been close.
His gaze shifted toward his human, but he didn't look particularly upset. That set Toma's heart at ease, he did not want to be a disappointment to the boy. His ears flicked as the other Mokai asked for his name and he glanced toward her after taking a few steps toward his boy. He grinned, tail wagging slightly. "Tomarrin!" His head tilted. "Yours?" He still sounded excited from the fight, though he did not seem disappointed from the loss. He would be fine no matter what, as long as his human was also fine.

Tomarrin? Her tail wagged a little bit as he actually spoke!
“I’m Eri!” She yipped happily. “Maybe next time we meet it won’t be when we are pitted against each other!” That would be nice. Eri didn’t know many on the island, but already she had fought against Tomarrin twice. Whether that was luck, or not, all Eri knew was there were a lot of fighters in the settlement.
When Lila called her, Eri bounded past Tomarrin to meet her owner. She seemed happy, maybe because Eri had just won her first battle? She’d have to tell Link about this later.
