I wasn't too big on Kasumi. Thane is sick, yes, but has it been long enough to where he would have died? Perhaps his son could take up where Thane left off. Ooh, having Samara back. And Zaeed. Dude, I loved Zaeed.

Thus far, there have been plenty of old teammates slotted for return. How many of them will be playable squadmates is still virtually in the air. I certainly agree that Legion and Wrex would be great comeback additions, though I see Wrex staying as a cameo rather than recruitable, leaving that to Grunt when he's not with Clan Urdnot. Jack is also slated for a return, looking a tad more classy than her last appearance, but no less badass. From the dev. art, she has a sort of Deus Ex: Human Rev. look to her.
As for this argument over Ashley and Miranda, I dislike them both, but Miri more so. I believed that Ash was simply a xenophobic racist at first, but she developed over the course of ME and, similar to the portrayal of Presley through the Normandy Crash Site DLC in ME2, grew a fondness for her alien counterparts. Miranda, on the other hand, is a great pile of UGH!!! As the people at Awkward Zombie webcomic put it, if she's so perfect, then why does she have teeth like Bugs Bunny? Also, her body is far too curvacious to reasonably apply her to battlefield applications. Additionally, how is that armor lingerie supposed to protect her?
The way I see it, you trade Kaiden and Ashley for Jacob and Miranda, as far as human LI's go. Does anyone else find this to take away from the natural feel of the first ME like I do? Like sex appeal has taken over genuine character.
On which note I'd like to point out the video feed thus far of ME3. Save for Ashley in the opening scenes and Liara in combat scenarios, there really haven't been that many LI's featured in released footage, and I believe that's a very good sign. To me, it says that the third installment will have far more to do with story development and saving the galaxy at large rather than looking at a huge, pale a**, or dark chocolate pectorals (I just made that really wrong). Granted, ME2 wasn't just about those two features, but it felt almost forced there at the beginning in the Cerberus base.
Sorry, I ramble. xp

And Zaeed. Dude, I loved Zaeed. I just like the random conversations with Kasi. I would quite like to see Thane's son replace him, failing that Firon maybe (Liara's little 'assistant', did anyone else spot that his name is pronounced Farron and that Liara's VA is Lightning?). Never got Zaeed, no net connection with my PS3. sad

I'm a PC player. I haven't gotten to get the second appearance pack (Miranda, Grunt and whoever), Lair of the Shadow Broker, or Arrival.

Sorry, I ramble. xp I don't see anything wrong with her teeth keep in mind that is Yvone Strahoviski's face her body was well ''enhanced'' but other than the black hair it looks exactly like her. As for the outfit Miranda isn't exactly meant for millitary combat situations as much as she is for Special Ops and Covert operations she'd be more suited to light armor and biotic barriers tend to help. It would be like Grunt trying to be stealthy in that massive armor of his it just wouldn't work! Each character has different specialties and your squad make up is usually consistant with what type of character you are personally. and if you want to talk about not getting much protection Jack's suit doesn't protect much..probably less than Miranda's. For example, Im an inflitraitor class so I like to set up strikes that keep the enemey off balance. Miranda's biotic power Slam is pretty useful especially against Krogan and Collectors. Besides Ash has a few character flaws herself. Ashley on Horizon proved to me that she wasn't willing to listen to Shepard's side of the story at all. All she talked about was how much she suffered with Shepard gone and all that when Shepard...was...dead!!! Honestly how much worse could she have had it?

I personally hope that Miranda doesn't show up for long in ME3, if at all. A brief cameo, maybe, but nothing big. She just....irritated me hugely.
Whereas Ashley at least had some form of development and personality instead of just whining and boasting....but I wouldn't mind anyone else coming back.
Back on point, I did hear a vague rumour a while back about Miranda. Something about a Shepard who romanced her having to choose whether or not to have a test tube baby with her. No idea if it was true or not. No shootin' the messenger.

Miranda had some character development as well Im guessing you didn't really pay attention to her loyalty mission and in the Lair of the Shadow Broker where she stays in contact with her sister...whose name escapes me at the moment...if you read the messages between them it feel like a real conversation between sisters..I would know I have two younger sisters (Oriana! that was her name!) Yes she is an ice queen but she slowly lets her guard down as the game progresses I honestly don't see why everyone in this guild hates Miranda so much I thought everyone hated Ashley (XD)

Ew on the Miranda test tube baby. xp
As for Miranda's personality development, I'm sure most of us have seen it in one run through or another. I, however, found it lacking. Sure, she asks you to save her sister with her. She expresses her disdain for her father and even tears up a bit at the end. But that's all she does. Her personality profile goes from Cerberus zealot to sister savior. Granted, she has her reasons to admire if not envy Shepard, but she doesn't have any real expression beyond that. She's business first, and not much else second.
Now, I realize that this has become a battlefield of Miranda-bashing vs Miranda-praising, so let me just say that I respect everyone's personal LI preferences and their reasons for them. For me, I'm on the Tali wagon. Say what you will and I'll tell you why I adore her, but I don't want to turn it into a debate of which LI is better and why. So what's say we agree to disagree? 3nodding

Agree to disagree...Agreed. And you are right that she is most of the time all-buisness she has what I like to call a Type-A personality. And between you and me If Miranda was never a part of the equation...I would have picked Tali XD She was extremely useful in both games and she will be vital in Mass Effect 3 no doubt in that.
