Oz ran along in front of his trainer, keeping at a nice even pace so that he didn't get too far ahead of the slower human. His blood was pumping and heart racing. The exercise brought all his senses to life. He could smell better, hear better, taste, touch, see.. all better when he was revved up. He just felt more alive!
Today Oz and his human were planning to train for a while before heading to the fighting arena to watch some matches. Oz wouldn't be competing today, but he was itching for a fight, and soon. Oz had learned some new moves in the last session and was eager to try them out in the ring.
His trainer signaled for him to stop and he obeyed, sitting down and waiting for him to catch up. His tongue hung from his mouth, panting to cool himself off. It was a beautiful day, the sun shining bright, warming the grounds. It was warm enough that the humans were sweating. Oz yipped as his owner stopped and caught his breath. He was ready to go again, wanting to keep his body moving. The human smiled at him and ruffled his head fluff. "Slow down champ. Save some of that energy for the training." he said, chuckling at the energetic Mokai.
They found a spot to start their training, and before he knew it, Oz had lost all track of time, and the sun started to set. After a particularly tough round of mock combat, Oz was winded, needing a break to catch his breath. His human called him over and scratched behind his ears. "Time to call it a day, huh?" he asked. Oz just looked up at him, wagging his tail, panting. "We better go before all the good seats are gone." the human said as he picked up their training bag and started towards the arena. Oz stood and followed after, soon running ahead of the slower biped.
It wasn't long that he started seeing other Mokai sprinkled about, either waiting to go in or already finished their fight. Oz didn't see anyone he knew standing outside, but perhaps inside he might. He waited for his trainer, and they both went in, finding a seat near the front. Oz hopped up into a chair beside him and sat waiting for the next match to begin.

Moira looked back hesitantly at her owner. She had been doing so the whole slow walk to the arena. Her human had made mention of fighting. It was what she was born to do she explained. But the day was so nice! Why should she waste it in some fighting ring? She let out an annoyed snort. "Why must you be that way Moira?" her owner asked. The mokai turned and stood still looking up at the woman. Glaring was more like it. Her owner crossed her arms over her chest and sighed then urged her onward.
They drew closer to the arena, the sounds of cheering and barking could be heard. She stopped in her tracks again and stepped back until her rump bumped into the legs of her owner. "Come, we'll just watch today.." came the familiar voice above her. Feeling a little more at ease Moira padded inside and sat down on one side of the ring to watch the fight. Brown eyes traveled around the place noting the many mokai and their trainers. She could feel the energy flowing, many around her riled up with excitement. A bell ringing sounded from near the ring making her jump slightly then settle her gaze to the ring itself.

Oz heard the bell ring and jumped down to get closer to the ring for a better view. As he weaved through the vast jungle of human legs, he could hear the noises coming from the ring, the fighters had already began their attacks.
He was almost to the ring when he felt his tail thump hard against something. He turned to see what, and came nose to nose with another Mokai.

She leaned forward a little as the mokai below drew in closer to each other and started their close range attacks. One white female swiped hard at the muzzle of the other. She was drawn to the action when something smacked against her side. Her attention snapped from the competitors to lock eyes with the other who had been attached to the tail. Staring into golden eyes, the fight seemed lost some where in the back ground. For a moment she forgot she was even watching it. Then just like that, with a blink, she snapped out of the daze. She said nothing about it.

"OH! Goodness, I'm terribly sorry miss. Clumsy me, my tail got away from me. Are you okay?" he asked, hoping he hadn't smacked her in the eye or anything.
His attention was drawn to the ring, where two Mokai had been fighting. He felt he might appear rude, so he turned back to the female and smiled. "Looks like a good fight going on in there."

She nodded her head to his question. She seemed fine. When he looked away to the fight she dropped her head to make double sure. Finding not even fur out of place she looked up, glancing around to the fight. One of the mokai had a gash in their shoulder. The sight made her feel a little ill. Her ears perked, hearing his voice filling her ears while the background noise increased. "Yes.." she responded and looked away as the fight increased in intensity. She was supposed to do that?!

"So, is this your first time as a spectator?" he asked, trying to make conversation. "You look a little... unnerved by the fighting."
