Gaia name: Oncaro

Character Name: Abigail O'Connor

Codename: Technically none, but her friends and family have nicknamed her "Abby", and the "old crone" she met called her "Adh mór", which means "Luck" or "Good luck" in the Irish tongue.

Age: 13

Alignment: True Neutral/Neutral Good

Powers: Abigail's only superhuman ability is the manipulation of probability and chance to "bring good luck" onto others. This makes her more or less the antithesis of the metahuman known as Jinx. However, fundamental differences exist between the two. For instance, while Jinx is capable of manipulating her "bad luck powers" and turning them into blasts of energy, Abby is incapable of controlling her power of good luck, which manifests as an invisible aura around her and the immediate area she is in, for a radius of twenty feet. (If a magic-user senses her aura, it will appear to them as a light green, semi-transparent dome of energy that surrounds Abby.) In general, this field positively affects all beings within it unless they are of an "Evil" alignment, and at times when Abby has been in immediate danger of serious physical harm from "evil" people, this "good luck field" seems to "shut off" its own area affect while still working for Abby; this allows her to get out of many unpleasant situations unscathed. As with her power in general, Abby cannot control this when it happens.

To go into more detail about how the field works: For Abby herself, her power translates to: "Things will work out for the better"; if she's in mortal danger, for example, something will happen to make sure she stays alive, while everything else she does has increased chances of working out well for her. If she is injured, she will wind up healing more quickly and more completely than most people, despite the fact that she doesn't have a "real" healing factor. For those within the field around her, the field increases chances of success at whatever they do, so long as they are not of an "Evil" alignment. If they're "evil", the field will not help them at all and will likely hinder them somehow; for example, attempting to use a gun will cause it to jam or miss its target completely.

Bio: Abigail O'Connor is the youngest member of the O'Connor family. She was born in Tuam, Ireland, "on the first day of spring, when four-leaf clovers were blooming", according to her mother and father. Abigail was noted to have a small birth-mark on her lower stomach, in the shape of a four-leaf clover, and the O'Connors took this as a sign that Abigail was good luck for them. They were absolutely correct, but none of them, not even Abigail herself, ever knew why this was so. When Abigail was thirteen, her eldest brother Aiden vanished, and the O'Connors "looked all over Ireland" (by her account, though this is likely hyperbole) for him. While searching for Aiden in her hometown of Tuam, Abigail was called off to the side of an alleyway by, as she noted, "an old crone of a woman, dressed in filthy rags".

The woman spoke to Abigail, calling her Adh mór, the Irish term that translates into English as "good luck". The woman said that Aiden had been called to a far-off world, filled with many fantastical beings. Furthermore, the crone said that Abigail herself was such a being, as she was blessed by the Dagda, the "all-father" of Irish mythology, to be "a constant bearer of good fortune for as long as she lived". The crone told Abigail that she had the power to send Abigail to this realm that her brother was now in. When Abigail asked how this was so, the crone revealed herself to be Danu, the Irish mother-goddess and wife of the Dagda himself. Having revealed herself, Danu merely waved a hand, and Abigail vanished in a flash of silvery light, being sent to the Merged Multiverse.

Extra: Just as Aiden has a theme song, Abby has one as well. It is also her favorite Irish folk song, and she often sings it to herself while she travels (changing the lyrics to account for her gender).
