It took all Kenrick had to not fall back down in the snow. Zero had found the sword due to his failure. If Zero used the sword to attack Mr. Claus, it was all over. Kenrick arose. He couldn't let anything else bad happen. It seemed like Fate was against them (what with all the bad rolls and such) but he wasn't about to give up just because things didn't seem to be going his way. He set off in the direction of Zero's cackling.

Zero was not far ahead and Kenrick could feel himself gaining more and more confidence and valor with every step. To increase the feeling, he began to run. He ran faster than he ever had before. He caught up to Zero in seconds and threw punch after punch at him. Zero had inhuman reflexes and dodged every blow. He stood wide-eyed at Kenrick. "What is wrong with you? Are you infused with some kind of demon or something?" He held up Demon's Wrath. "Speaking of which, I've been wanting to try this out," his eyes had an eerie gleam as they fell upon Kenrick, "And now I think I have the perfect opportunity." He smiled an equally eerie smile and raised the sword above his head.

Kenrick stood his ground as Zero prepared his attack. The air practically sizzled with tension. They stood still for several minutes until Zero finally lowered the sword. "What is going on?" he whined. "Why is the sword not working? The name of it is not entering my mind." He wagged the sword back in forth as if that would solve his problem. Of course! Kenrick had almost forgotten that the sword would not work except for its master, the first person that wielded it and called its name. Kenrick sighed in relief. Zero turned and scowled at him. "You remember its name, don't you?" He took a menacing step forward.
Kenrick knew that by forcing the name into the sword could be dangerous for him and Zero. Demon blades were not a power to be dealt with. Zero seemed crazed enough to not care about the risks such a decision would make. Kenrick took two steps backward. "Perhaps, but I'm not a fool to tell you" Kenrick stated boldly, "To do so would be to put you and the rest of us in jeopardy." Zero snickered in reply.
"You think me a fool to trust you? You'd say anything to get this sword back." He clutched it tighter. "So, you can either stop this silly charade and tell me, or I can force you. What will it be?" Kenrick knew that Shmoo's time was dangerously low and she couldn't hold out for long. He also knew that the sword was not to be handled by someone as uncaring and mad as Zero. So he had a difficult decision to make.

Kenrick stood puzzling for about a minute until he got a thought. "I choose... NEITHER!" he yelled and kicked snow in Zero's face. Zero recovered quickly, but by then Kenrick was dashing away. Zero growled and pursued him. Kenrick willed his feet to carry him as fast as before, but they were not cooperating. Kenrick wished with all his might that the plan he was working on would succeed.
