"Better safe than sorry, huntress." Issa chuckled, his deep voice rumbling in his chest. He stared down at the lioness, waiting for her to begin her line of questioning. "Better hurry with those questions, or those hyenas will find us." He said the last part in a teasing manner, as if being caught would mean that they were more than enemies. His eyes twinkled at the thought of seeing those hyenas faces. They'd be so confused if that happened. Truly they didn't understand anything unless it was spelled out for them. He didn't like living with the hyenas about. He just wanted a pride and some land and live his life peacefully. It was too much to live with those hyenas in this rotting graveyard. He felt disrespectful towards the mighty elephants that come here to die and rest with their deceased family.

This lion. Had something on his mind. Something the huntress was curious about. Not just for her simple mind of wishing to know. But to wonder what it might be. Whether it is a dangerous seires of thoughts or innocent. There were many things it could be. Ayita was one to find out what things were. Much like her cousin. Soyali and her held some traits of their family members. Large sizes, and the urge to know what there was to know. "What is your name?" Classic to start with. And as for the hyenas? She didn't quite care. They wouldn't bug her. She knew that for a fact. There wasn't much the bird brains could do. They at least were smart enough not to tussle with certain lions.

Issa chuckled, amused by the question the head huntress of Priderock gave him. It made sense that she'd want to know his name. He already knew hers because any birdbrain would know her name. The great Ayita, head huntress of the Pride lions. "I'm tempted to refuse you the answer to that question, but I value my life. My name is Issa, Huntress Ayita." He was also tempted to give her a mock-bow, but stifled that urge. It would do him no good to play mind games with the lioness. He sat himself on the skull, waiting for Ayita's next question. Maybe it would be challenging this time around? He grinned from the very thought.

Was a smart choice to not be a pile of rhino s**t. It would have been a very bad choice in life to do so. There was a bit of more insight to asking that simple question. Ayita knew his name, and also that this lion wasn't too hyena brained either. A smart one if you had to ask the huntress. Keeping herself calm which was a rather typical thing, there was going to be a point made that she honestly could care less what was to happen. This was shown by the simple move, to sit on her haunches. Appearing to not be too threatening. Hopefully the hyenas would be a bit smart at the moment, if they were silently watching from afar. "Pleasure to meet you Issa. Knowing your name now, I have a bit of mind as to who you are." The name struck her from a rumor. A bit of unknown info that a lion protected by two legged white monkeys had been forced out of his pride. This could be him, or could not be. Wasn't a question. "Why would a minded lion like yourself be doing wandering around ancient pale bones?" Sitting there silently, Ayita watched him like a vulture.

"Hmm, I wonder that myself." Issa responded honestly. He could have left this graveyard and find some unclaimed land and a few females to top, but he never felt like leaving. It wasn't because he was lazy, he was far from lazy, but it wasn't because he liked this place either. "I don't know. I guess I just pity the hyenas? Especially the males. Poor creatures living under a female-dominated system." He watched the lioness, feeling not the least bit relaxed around her just because she was sitting on her haunches. "That look you have, the one where you've heard of something, but can't quite place it, I know what you're thinking, and the answer is yes. I am Issa from the reserve. And, unlike the lions over here, when a male is fully grown, his father and any other dominate male will cast him out of the pride. They don't share the females they mate with, Huntress." He explained to her, feigning despondent feelings. He wasn't angered by his father and his uncles for forcing him out of the pride. If he was in their positions, he would have done the same thing. Competition was competition, even if it came from their own cubs.

Thoughts were true. Everything added up and it made sense. A mental check list crossed out one of the many things on her mind. There was actually a tad bit of questioning. Even if Issa had been thrown out of his pride, the reason making sense, why would he have come here of all places. How long had the male been here? If he was so fond of the idea of joining a pride, anything, he could have kindly asked the pride. The lions at priderock cared to lions in general, typicaly anyway. Ayita knew for sure Manaba and Soyali did, along with herself. Often questioning the old ways. But, the ancient king Mufasa's father had changed things. Opening up the pride to a different system rather then others. Opened the borders to typically let other lions in. To keep the gene pool open. As that made sense as well. Fellow lions even outsiders were allowed in. They may be the base of suspicion for a while though if they were to not cause problem, there was usually trust ensued. The careful eye of the kings made sure of no issues. "I know of that." Green eyes kept themselves locked still. "Now, with that in place. Why would you happen to stay in a dump such as this, bordering a pride. Do you have a reason?" Questioning was going to continue. "I have yet to find your scent in the pridelands. Meaning you don't enter to hunt. So tell me. Why?" There was a point to this.

"I have better things to do than steal prey from such a boring place." Issa replied, stretching his legs and then his back. He watched the female silently for a moment, wondering what her aim was coming here. Surely it wasn't just because she wanted to ask some questions. That would be the most foolish and imbecilic reason ever. "Why are you so interested in me, Huntress? Surely you haven't fallen for my good looks? I'm kidding by the way, but still. Why are you here? The sun has fallen, and your pride has probably started their hunting now. Why waste your time with me?" He sensed that her questions had dried up for the moment, she he decided to ask her what he was curious about.

Emerald eyes continued to hold their emotionless yet interested gaze. However a maw pulled lips back to form some sort of smile. One of Issa's coments had amused the lead huntress. "As handsome as you are, no I have not." Now daring to turn her eyes away, Ayita looked up to the sky. It had indeed gotten a little bit late, more then she expected. But there was nothing wrong with that. Not to boast her own boar, she knew she was very capable of getting something for the pride before morning. It wouldn't take that long. So the head huntress wasn't worried. There was faith in herself. Gazing back at the dark eyes male, her voice run out into the night air once more. "When my mind comes up with questions, it will not quiet until they are answered. So wasting time it is not." Being truthfull was the key. And honest was the reality.

"Interesting answer." Issa mused aloud, watching the huntress for a moment before sitting down again. He rested his head on his paws and watched her with his dark eyes. She certainly was an odd lion, no doubt about that. But he wondered why she would risk coming here alone? Surely even the great huntress Ayita could be defeated if enough hyenas, rogues, and Outcasts ganged up on her. It was a mystery he had yet to solve. "Well, if you're satisfied with my answers, and if you are no longer curious, you can leave whenever you want, Huntress Ayita." His words held no threatening note, and his face held no aggression. He was simply stating what he believe the situation had become for the two of them.

Those green eyes were easy to ignore any danger that could indeed be lurking about if there was any. Even if it was the head huntress versus no matter what number of foes, she could hold her own. Not that she boasted power. She knew that some day she would get her tail handed to her. Either way this lioness wasn't afraid. Keeping her eyes up at the lounging male, those eyes seemed calm. Uncaring indeed they were. "Indeed, I could." Standing fully she looked to the sky now. The moon high as it glistened a soulful light in her emerald hues. It shone off her dark pelt, showing the muscles she earned. No scar visible in the light of the midnight sun. "Please, simply Ayita." She mused. Turning on her paws comfortably heading back towards the way she came. "Thank you for the answers to my questions. May I say, if you wish to enter the pridelands, simply tell the gaurds I gave you permission." Saying no more she headed up the embankment, getting a mind set ready to take down something to bring to the pride. Seemingly in higher spirits.

Issa stood wordlessly as he watched Ayita leave his sight. He watched her form climb the embankment effortlessly. It was like she was a bird gliding through the air or a fish swimming in a gentle stream. The male's curiosity about the female heightened. She had given him permission to enter the pridelands. It was either a trap she decided to set up for him, or an honest invitation, either way, he knew she expect him to use that invitation, and he knew he would. "Bye-bye, Ayita." He murmured under his breath, following her so that he was sure she left the graveyard. It would be troublesome for him if she stayed, though it would also be nice if she did stay with him.
