Normally, Kaira was not the sort of person who got involved in the internecine struggles of the world of Gaia. She was a quiet one, preferring to lounge about in the taverns and clubs of her friends. It had been quite a long time since she accepted a job. Had it not been for the lack of funds (and her overactive spending habits), she would have preferred not to tackle such a...ridiculous task.
Eyebrows angled slightly to read the letter in front of her. A letter calling many to action and fight against a threat known as Zero Omega had arrived for Kaira Darkblade, shoved under the door of her three-bedroom apartment in Barton Town. Were it not for the allegations against such a threat (wanting to destroy all sugary delights), Kaira might have actually taken it seriously. "...Are they serious?" Her tone was abstract, almost mocking as she tossed the letter onto the kitchen counter and grabbed a cup of coffee to begin her day. Clearly her skills had been absent from the world for so long that they were making a joke out of her.
Taking a seat on the leather couch in her living room, Kaira propped her feet up on the coffee table and began flipping through various television channels. "Boring...boring...don't care about Italians living in one house together...boring...boring...stupid pregnant teenagers...boring...bor--...what the hell?!" Kaira stopped, dropping the remote from her hands as her crimson eyes (contacts, of course) stayed glued to the television screen.
"Reports of puddings and pork pies and all things good going missing have cropped up all around our wonderful world of Gaia. Homes have been ransacked, sugar gone missing. What will happen to the young gaians on Christmas when Santa cannot bring them presents? More news at five!"
"...Oh you have got to be kidding me." Realizing that the letter had not, in fact, been a joke of any sort, Kaira set her cup of coffee down on the table with an irritated grumble and a string of foul language that was definitely not jolly nor merry. Just her luck. A ridiculous job that paid well should she be the first to achieve victory, but in the end, did nothing but give presents to brats that probably didn't deserve them anyway. Bah, humbug.
Never the less, she needed the money and the job was there. Out the door she went, sai strapped to her hips and boots click-clacking along the cobblestone streets of Barton Town. Now, if only she could locate one of those pesky little underlings...then she could be lead stread to the head honcho himself.

The sound of loud yelps echoed through an alleyway as Kaira faced off against a member of Zero's sugar-destroying army. The robot moved sloppily and mechanically, but had the weight and force needed to drive Kaira into a corner she could not get out of. Her first attempts at an attack had failed. Her sai did not work on such a hard, impenetrable outer shell.
Think, Kaira...think...if something sharp and metal won't kick it in the kiester...then what will...?
"Prepare for your demise, human."
"That's an awfully big word for something without a brain."
"Prepare for your demise, human."
"...You just said that."
"You just said that."
"Oh, now you're copying me?"
"Oh, now you're copying me?"
Steam practically poured from Kaira's ears. Was this filthy little trash can...MOCKING her?! Oh yes, it certainly seemed so! However, just as she was about to open her mouth and let a string of French off at the robot, something glinting caught her eye. A loose bolt in the robot's neck. A weak point! That was why it was repeating what she said. Though it was powerful and could move, it was very poorly made. What can one expect from a villain with terrible funding?
Kaira moved carefully, doing her best not to draw too much attention to her newfound knowledge. She would bide her time and wait for the perfect moment to strike...
