 The melancholy leopard idly swiped his paw free of dirt as he sat in his tree waiting for his daughter to return from her hunt. Now that she was practically independent, Linje encouraged her to have a life of her own, but she always insisted on staying. The proud father could never bring himself to argue with that precious face. Besides, what would he do with himself without her? She was the only happiness in his life these days. He was good at hiding his illness of depression from his daughter. It was infectious, after all, and he'd hate to see her sad.
Linje rested his chin on the thick branch. He only cleaned his fur because his daughter would remind him to. Otherwise, he would be a mess. His mind dwelled on the thoughts of the could haves and should haves of his past. His life used to be perfect, and just like that, everything crumbled away. Maybe it was worth it. If it wasn't for his broken history, he wouldn't have Azkaila. But even then, his own mother spat in his face and abandoned him because of his half-cheetah spawn.
The white leopard let out a heavy sigh and his tail drooped over the side of his branch. He was so absorbed in his own thoughts, he didn't even realize he would be having company.. whether he liked it or not.

 Twilight skies, he looked up.. he remembered when he had first seen the sky. He was a juvenile barely hitting adolescent.. He had taken the sky for granted since his escape from the caves.. he only knew now what he did back then.. but the past was always the past. He had left behind himself and turned over a new leaf. Without restrictions he was adored by his ability to be mysterious and disappear without a trace.. Though that all shattered when he met Nena then later Auri.. whom gave birth to his children. He hadn't known children could change your life.. His mate Luaith came to understand this. Now learning to cope with Jem's children as his own.. Luaith.. Love had no restrictions...
But most importantly. His duty, Along side Luaith, he would help the pride.. Helping others believe in their future... The sight of his mate.. Even that was a big responsibility. He took in the air, and sighed delightfully. "The outside world.. how long as it been old friend..Sky I took for granted..Hello." As the rays embraced him. He had zoned out for a moment, Luaith was hunting today so he was out to relax til dinner. A yawn escaped him as he stretched and wondered... til he got to a small watering hole surrounded in lush bush. "Mmm.." He lapped at the water with thoughts of missing his children and favored female, then suddenly, he felt the presence and looked up... Not a few feet from him.. a tail..
With the twitch he snapped out of it and felt the pressure.. Something was wrong. "Hello?" His voice was deep, mysterious and even coy..
