Ike "I have accepted that occasionally we all have to deal with hard times. I've had pain, I've had suffering... and I have gotten up and moved on. I don't try to forget what happened. I just accept it." Ike let out a short chuckle, his warm smile not leaving his features. "No, not until I could use one properly. He always kept training fair. You can ask Mist about that. She'd almost always watch, and tend to any wounds after the fact." Their training could certainly get out-of-hand at times. He nodded at her next words. "Worthy people to learn from, no doubt. I don't know too much about Aerith, but I know she's a capable healer. And of course, Mist has been the healer for the Greil Mercenaries for years." It was still wild to think she was here, in this world... after so long away, it was a nice change of pace to see people from his world again. Though it only made it more obvious how different this world was from any other he had visited. "You did well. I'll continue to expect good results, in that case." He said kindly, patting her on the head once again. A little motivation should spur her to even greater heights!Justus' head slammed rather ungracefully into the bar below him, though he didn't seem to react very much aside from that. He raised his glass of (not-hard) water up towards Layla. "Next pour this on my head, it'll be hot." He said, his voice muffled from his face being on the bar. He sure seemed to get a jolly from being humiliated, demeaned or embarrassed at Layla's hands, huh? "Call me a b***h while you're at it." His voice continued to be muffled, though his characteristically nonchalant voice made his requests sound funnier just due to the flat delivery of these acts he'd apparently enjoy in a lewd way. Finally raising his head slightly, his eyes didn't... really... move much. What a surprise! "God I love it when you do that kind of thing out of nowhere. Next time you should break my nose." Maybe it wasn't quite hard enough. Then again, no matter how hard it was, it probably wouldn't knock much sense into him. He returned her quick kiss, a moment afterwards, raising his arm, and... poking one of her breasts. "Boop." He certainly seemed to enjoy his boops, didn't he? Especially in such a public environment near her family! (( OoC: ))

The three that remained at their seats to a table far off to the window seating area, had finally finished up their drinks, and would leave Seventh Heaven a moment after placing a tip at the table, and giving the slightest wave to Ike on the way out. They certainly weren't drunken fools like some of the people that came here! Their leave was in perfect timing, too as Tifa came down the stairs that would lead into the bar. For the time being, she had on her older black leather outfit, while the other was in the washer! She needed more clothing, didn't she? One could say that about most Avalanche members who really clung to their very old outfits! "Oh, welcome back Ike! " Tifa said with a bright smile, walking over to him. It was as if nothing had even happened here, for Tifa she was very used to the rude treatment, It happened, and it was never anything she couldn't handle. Her smile remained as she looked down to Elena, she didn't mean to interrupt their conversation! Lucky their kind daughter didn't mind, and even scooted away to give them their space. "You can hug him now. " Elena grinned playfully. "Aren't you thoughtful. I suppose I should make this an extra-special hug while I have the chance!" She teased, Tifa wasted little time in doing just that, as she took a step closer and captured Ike into a extra loving, cutesy embrace! He was only gone a few hours, but those few hours felt like an eternity to Tifa. She was so lucky to have this bar to keep her mind off of things like this! After a moment, she would release him, and take a step back. "How was your time with Soren? Did you do anything special? " Honestly, she had no idea what they were up to this time! She kind of hoped they were just spending time together, as cold as Soren could be to her, she still cared for him and his feelings, and wanted to be sure they still got their time as well. She didn't want Soren to feel left out. "Is he not coming in? "
Layla had to put her hand over her mouth to cover up her small laugh. His reaction of, well, nothing, was more amusing then if he did actually have one! "I think we will skip on that one, I'd rather not have to clean up a watery mess. " She gave him a little smack this time, over the head again though much softer then the last. "Oh, what would you do without me, my goofy demon lover? " She rested her elbows over the counter, her head in her hands as to stay that much closer and just...watch him as she leaned against the counter. She would feel the little 'boop', and naturally, only really smiled amusedly, her head raised a little so that she could use her hand to....boop his nose softly. Yes, softly! "Will you be staying with us for dinner? " She thought she should ask, maybe Cissnei had plans? If not, well, all the better for Layla to not lose her precious silly demon. A pair of hands..would sneakily reach up from behind the lone one standing outside the bar, covering his eyes. "Guess who? " The voice might be familiar to him, a voice he hadn't heard in a while. As her hands moved away, the source of that voice stepped out in front of him, grinning. "It's been forever, Hello Soren.." Hiyori was on her get away time, and just walking through the city for once. A little not-so-fresh air did her good, probably. She wasn't expecting to run into one of the only living forms of life she had a lot of respect for, it was a delight to see, no matter how unlively Soren was. She was just happy to see him. "Where do you go? I feel like I never see you so much these days. "

Leaning against the bar, Layla seemed to be focused on a particular man sitting at one of the tables, drinking down his third mug of beer. He was the perfect image of a complete slob, with beer pouring from the glass and all over him in the process of his attempt to drink. "...You should really start restricting who comes in here, that's disgusting.." Just the sight of him was really starting to raise her temper to it's max level. Maybe he would leave after finishing this...last..beer? Not a chance, filthy people such as him didn't know when to stop, and both Layla and Tifa would be surprised with a wave down, demanding another beer. Demanding! "...Three is your limit..I think it's time you take a walk, a walk clear away from this place.." She was so kind! Layla had no tolerance for slobs like this. "You don't want me to MAKE you leave..." "You got'a problem with me?! " He stood up, stumbling in the process. "Yes, I do." Tifa was attempting to signal Layla to stop, but it would only go ignored as Layla took a step toward him, not to close of course, touching this pig would disgust her even more! "I could smell your stench from here! " "You little b***h! I'll teach you!' He could barely walk, so his attempt to lunge at her was really quite hilarious for the dark mind of Layla, as she was now! The second he got close, the drunken man was struck by a heavy kick that would send him clean across the bar, slamming into the wall below the dart board and sliding down to a slumped over position. "Good lesson. " She remarked, smirking as she proceeded to make her way toward him, only to swipe off a few darts into her hand, and finally walking away again. There she stood, turning back to the man who now attempted to stand...right in the middle of the dart board. "Meet my little friends! They come with quite a sting..." She threw one, which struck just perfectly to the side of his face, and another to the other side. He was now stiff as a board in utter fear! "Should I make the next two bulls eye? Or will you be leaving like a good little drunk? " "...Please....Please don't! I'll leave! Right now!' Of course, his words were still very slurred, but he definitely got the message and took off in a stumbling run, knocking a few empty chairs down along the way before bursting through the doors in utter fear. Layla on the other hand, just giggled innocently as she threw the last two directly into the bulls eye of the board, and turning back to her mother with a playful grin.. "What would you do without me? " One could almost see the sweat drop form above Tifa's forehead. "..I would have a lot more customer's!"

Alisa Alisa let out a small sigh through her nose as she laid there on the floor of the fine, fine establishment. It was mostly empty, though she couldn't feel entirely at ease what with the Reaper straddling her, smiling happily as she felt Alisa up. Ugh, this invoked some memories she was particularly not fond of... Alisa, of course, had been neutralized like many others in the city during the Reaper invasion, and now she was helpless to do anything except endure. She wasn't even here to drink or anything, she had come in during the invasion to try to help someone, and ended up in this state. It would be markedly better if not for the stench of alcohol that permeated this place. Tifa probably did a good job cleaning and getting rid of the odor for human noses, but Alisa's senses were much higher than that of humans. Typically quite a boon, but in cases like this, not so much... There was something she noticed, though--for the fraction of a moment, a change in the air. A bizarre stillness that was preceded and followed by nothing--vanishing just as quickly as it came. To most, especially those pre-occupied, it would be practically impossible to notice. But when the most she could do in this situation is play a riveting game of I Spy with herself, and with her higher senses, she was able to notice. She believed she felt control of her body returning to her, and she subtly tested it by flexing her fingers to not arouse the suspicion of her captor. Her belief was proven true--whatever that bizarre stillness was, its arrival and subsequent departure was accompanied by her being freed. She didn't know what it was, or if it was even related, but she didn't intend to look a gift horse in the mouth. Waiting until the most opportune moment she could, she swung her arm wildly, slapping her captor directly across the face, hitting so hard she was left with a stinging palm. Letting that sucker slap do the job of dazing her captor, she balled her hand into a fist, jabbing directly at her throat. In response, the Reaper clutched her throat, trying to get off Alisa and create distance. Why allow for a counterattack, though? Or for her to recover. No, Alisa grabbed the Reaper by the arm, tugging her over and lifting her legs to wrap them around the Reaper's neck. Imagining what kind of colorful comment the Reaper would make if given the chance, Alisa rolled her eyes, pulling even harsher on her hold until the suffocation was enough to force the Reaper into unconsciousness. "Ughh..." She let out, rolling backwards and getting to her legs. Why did she always have to deal with this? The first time she was exiled from her kingdom for such nonconsensual debauchery, though this at least didn't progress to the same extreme. Sighing as she shook her head into her hand, she firmly reminded herself, "Not all Reapers..." There were good Reapers too. Her father wanted tolerance and eventually died trying to come to an understanding with their race's sworn enemies. Drowning in hatred for them like her mother wouldn't do his memory justice. This little inner-monologue would need to wait, though. Even though she wanted to see the day when Serenitians, humans, and Reapers would come to an understanding, that day wouldn't be today. The Reapers had to be exercised from Midgar. This invasion would only make things worse... Hurrying out of the bar, she dropped down to her knees, looking around. "Where did that... stick thing... go..." She really didn't want to just... "Ugh, fine!" There really was no time. Pushing her finger into the dirt with a cringe, the exiled princess began to draw something into the dirt. She would continue hopefully uninterrupted for several minutes--yes, minutes, this was a complex process that had to be absolutely perfect--before at last she would let out a disgruntled huff. Despite her open-minded ideals, she was a rather posh princess--the idea of moving her hands through dirt repulsed her, but desperate times and all that. What she finished was a rather complex sigil that she had inscribed into the dirt. Magical paper with ink would really be preferred, but this would at least get the job done. She would just have to flex her magical muscles, at it were. She took in a deep breath, interlocking her fingers together and raising her arms to the sky with a long stretch, before letting out her breath as she released her hands. "Alright." She said to herself, then clasping her hands together in front of her, as she closed her eyes. She began to chant, though if anyone were listening to her, they wouldn't be able to make out the language she was using. The longer she chanted, the more the wind began to build around her--and the magic, if one was attuned enough to notice. Her veins began to pulsate with electricity, generating a lot of magical energy which would be required to make the incantation work with this... shoddy setup. At last, she stopped chanting, opening her eyes which were pure white. Pressing the palms of her hands against the sigil she made prior, the pattern in the dirt lit up with a blinding light, an incredible amount of magical energy surging into it in mere moments. The ground began to shake violently with the exchange of power from Alisa into the sigil, and the visibility of her veins began to die down, and her eyes returned to their regular blue color as the energy had finally been moved from her. As this was completed, in incredible speed, the sigil would crack, and that white light of magical energy shot out from all sides, moving through the city in a pattern that resembled the roots of a great tree spreading. The entirety of Midgar--all the way out to the decayed ground that surrounded it, would be covered by these magical "roots," and once they finally stopped expanding, the cracks opened up, the blinding magic shooting from the ground and swallowing its targets whole in mere moments. There was no escape--the extreme speed and surprise would render all the targets unable to evade it. Pulling those very targets down into the cracks, they mended themselves back almost immediately, the "roots" receding as quickly as they came. All returned to the beginning point--that very sigil Alisa created, and once they did, Alisa drew an arrow from her quiver--an arrow that rather immediately gathered magical energy into the tip. She wasted no time, raising the arrow and stabbing it directly into the dirt. The result was a large magical shockwave that would break the windows in the immediate area, and be felt for miles around--possibly knocking some people off their feet depending on how close they were to the impact zone. When all the magic and dust had settled at last, what remained was a clear dirt ground, with a small crater right where the impact had happened. In addition, a broken arrow and an unconscious blonde princess laying in the dirt. At least she was unconscious so she wouldn't be repulsed by it? But certainly the most noteworthy thing was that every single Reaper that had previously been in the city was now gone. Indeed, these were the targets of her spell--the ones who were swallowed into the cracks of the magic. With her final push, she had sent them straight back to the Reaper realm, and severed the connection between this world and that one. The broken connection wouldn't last too long, given the shoddy conditions of the sigil she had used--but it should be long enough to send the message that their invasion had failed and cool their heads, keeping them at least from mounting an immediate retry. This spell was one that took a lot of magical energy, passed down to her directly from her mother. As the one who was intended to be queen before her exile, she had been taught many spells and abilities that specifically targeted and countered Reapers. This one was intended to repel an invasion of the Forest Kingdom, but luckily it was flexible enough to be applied here.(( OOC: ))

Althesa "Uugh..." Alisa let out, stirring from her unconsciousness and pushing herself up in disgust from the dirt. She had so hoped someone kind would stumble across her and get her out before she awoke. Would've been a nice thing to do for the one who, you know, saved the entire city to an extent. Though obviously no one knew that except her... Just as no one except Ephraim and Krul knew that it was thanks to them it could be saved in the first place. As she raised her head, though, she was surprised to find someone standing there before her, looking down to her unconscious form. Imperious as ever, it was... someone she did not expect to see. "...Mother...?""You've lost the right to call me that," Althesa responded coldly, causing Alisa to cringe a bit. "I did not expect to see the former High Princess of the Forest Kingdom laying in the muck like filth. I see you've fallen even further since I last saw you.""..." What was she expecting? Her mother to hold her, and tell her she did a good job? As if... she wasn't even like that before her father died, let alone after. And it would be pure blind fantasy to ever hope her exile would be revoked. Aeon had been exiled longer, and who knew where he was... Alisa forced herself to her feet, brushing the dirt off her body and gritting her teeth. "What do you want, mother." She said directly."..." Althesa uncrossed her arms. "I'm impressed you managed such a complicated spell in such conditions. It took an incredible amount of magic... Every Serenitian with at least decent power must have noticed it. Those informed enough, such as myself, know what you did in detail. I don't know if even I could have managed it." That caught Alisa by surprise, but she knew her mother was no flatterer--she only spoke exactly as she thought. Alisa's childhood was not one of constant showering praise from her mother, that was certain--but one plus was that you knew that any praise that was given was completely serious and genuine. "There is something we must discuss, but I loathe to do it in squalor like this. Lead me somewhere less revolting.""Some humans have to live this way every day...""Humans, yes... our neighbors do so love to consort with them. Those who rule humans must be terrible at it, or they don't care to be good. I would never allow my people to live in such filthy conditions. But the plight of humankind is of little interest to me.""We could simply go to the Forest Kingdom.""Exile is not a suggestion, Alisa. For the High Princess to become a Touched, you are lucky to still have your life. Even more lucky I deign to speak with you.""..." Alisa gritted her teeth, trying to keep herself from becoming emotional. Hearing things like this, and with how she's had to live since her exile... it was difficult not to lose her composure. "I'll be sure to count my blessings, dear mother." She finally said in a hushed voice, before turning and beginning to move forward to lead her mother somewhere she would find more acceptable. "....I'm starting to feel bored.." She let out a heavy sigh, leaning against the bar. It was a very slow day, for some reason. Did she scare every customer off? ...Nah, how could violently throwing and kicking people straight out the door cause them to never want to come back? Layla had no patients for idiots who couldn't hold their liquor intoxicated body, and it showed by the dents in the door every time she threw someone out. So why was she here, and working daily to serve these sad people? Well, who else would? With the news of most of Avalanche being gone on some island, sweet, darling Layla here decided to help out her oblivious mother with the bar, putting the money away in a safe after each days work was done. But lately, these last few days, it had become rather empty, leaving Layla to question staying here or doing a little of her own thing in the city. "...Heh heh..." A low, snarky young voice would catch Layla's attention from the corner booth. "Maybe if you didn't destroy everyone that walks in here with an attitude, you might be actually working..Did you think almost breaking the last guys leg on his way down the stairs after you threw him, would bring you more customers? " Aiko leaned back against her chair, looking oh so smug, raising her hands to rest behind her head to keep up her oh-so-cool appearance. "You're really bad at this job thing..I bet you 100 GIL I could bring in more people then you ever can, and do a better job at it! " It was probably true, too! "What do you say, hmm?! Wanna make that bet, Miss Violent Strife? " "........." The look on her face was quite the change from angry, to bored, to now, embarrassed. Why was Aiko even here. She was like a pesky fly that wouldn't leave, always mocking her ways! "I believe the sign on the door says 'No kids allowed.'. I understand that you can't read yet...but maybe ask an adult next time.." She could very well read, Aiko was pretty smart for her young age, to smart, even. Or maybe just to damn sarcastic? Maybe both. She also knew these little insults Really bothered her, so it was quite fun. It seemed neither of them were completely mature! Always trying to get under each others skin.

The door would soon gently open, showing the politeness of the apparent gentleman who opened it--certainly a stark contrast to the usual clientele. His garb only further served to separate him--not to mention he was certainly not drinking age, but he probably wasn't here for alcohol. His soft footsteps accompanied him on the hard wood below, and he gave a courteous nod to Layla, smiling his typical steady smile. Then, he looked at the child. "...So this is where you were." Reiner said. "Can't you stay around me, little Aiko? Minerva asked me to watch you, and I happen to take that commitment seriously!" A rather intimidating spider scurried atop Reiner's head, skittering until its many eyes fell upon Aiko. Though animals couldn't communicate exactly the same as humans, Aiko, as a Serenitian, would certainly be able to tell its thoughts--something akin to, "stop stressing out my servant!" clearly referring to Reiner. "Ah, hello, Sir Octo-Leg!" Reiner said, practically beaming as he looked upwards to the spider atop his head. ...What a strange prince he was. That never seemed to change. Reiner glanced at Layla, addressing her more directly now. "It's good to see you, Layla. Constantine, Solaris, and Neptune are in the city, too--I believe they're at the mansion." He informed her, oblivious to the exciting scene unfolding there. "...It's funny to see you working here, with your mother unaware. She might be confused when she comes back to learn this establishment has been operating all this time!" That would certainly be quite the confusing dilemma for her.

Layla's attention would shift away from her annoying little 'friend', to look at the door as it was so gently opened. Before she even could make out who was behind it, she already had an idea who it might be. Just by the way of how he opened the door! "Finally. Thank God. Real company!" She was still clearly so set on irritating Aiko, it was a bit to fun sometimes. Did that make her a big bully? ...Probably, but Aiko was a small-far-worse bully if so! She was certainly a child people should just not mess with, ever.. "...Tch..! Of all the places.." She muttered quietly to herself. She had figured hell would have to freeze over before Reiner ever showed his face in the bar of all places, he obviously wasn't one to come to places like this, so it was the perfect get away. Clearly she didn't like to be treated like a weak little helpless child. She was better then that! "..Can't you just stop being so soft and good all the time? " She crossed her arms. "I don't need anyone watching me. I'm not a baby!" Her eyes raised slightly to the small spider atop Reiner's head, giving it her own intimidating stare right back into it's creepy little many eyes! "Watch your pet, or it might be on the bottom of a shoe very soon.." As if something so small could scare HER! "...Let's just pretend she isn't here, shall we? " Layla was just a slight tone off of sounding pleading! "...Yes, it's good to see the fun, pleasant Reiner.." Because the other one there was hardly pleasant at all! "Are they? That's good news.." She really was cooped up a bit to much, there was probably so much going on she was so unaware of by now! "Oh, you have no idea..Even some of my guests were already so drunk, they thought -I- was my mother.." She did look a lot like Tifa, that was for sure. It probably wasn't so strange for a severly drunk person to see differently! "They've been gone a long time, I hear. It's the least I can do for her, I know she cares a great deal about this place...and strangely, the people that come here.." No matter how drunk some of them may of gotten, there were always reasons to why they came in that way, and she tended to listen and try to help out as much as she could, if they were manageable. Unlike Layla here, who just got instantly annoyed at any rudely behaving guest. "..With it being so slow today, why don't we just go pay the mansion a visit? All of us... I mean.." She paused, glancing back at Aiko.. "....All of us adults can go visit each other while you go to the playground.." She said with a tiny smirk. They weren't exactly adults, but teenagers, but still. Compared to the nine year old Aiko, they were practically adults!

"Haha--depends who you ask." Reiner responded playfully to Layla's proclamation about real company. He had been told quite a few times that his company was rather boring! Unfortunately for Aiko, Reiner's mother WAS Serenitian, and while his senses weren't as finely tuned as his older brother's, they were apt enough to feel her here. "Oh, I know. You're one of the most capable people I know, Aiko. I bet if we fought, you would utterly own me! But you know how Minerva worries. I wouldn't be surprised if she was trusting you with my protection just as much as the other way around. We'd make a formidable team I bet!" Reiner seemed a little better at talking to kids than Layla! Perhaps because he was so close to Marie, while Layla and her two siblings were all almost the same age. "Sir Octo-Leg isn't my pet, he's my friend! Isn't he so cute? I bet he'd be your friend too, if you wanted!" She probably didn't want. Most people probably wouldn't. Their loss. As he turned his attention to Layla, he wore his typical steady smile. "Oh, really? Well, the two of you do share a strong resemblance! You certainly inherited your mother's beauty." As per usual, compliments from Reiner never felt like they were just flattery or any kind of flirtation attempt--everything he said just sounded completely genuine. And that's because it pretty much all was! "Solaris resembles our mother as well, though not to the same extent." Layla certainly took the prize for looking the closest to a parent. "That sounds great! I haven't actually had a chance to talk to Constantine or Solaris since we materialized in this time." With their weird mirage existences. He turned towards Aiko. "Hey, Marie is there too. Would you want to come say hi to her? I could carry you if you wanted!" He said so kindly. Whether she'd like him to carry her on his back, or princess carry, or on his shoulders, Reiner would certainly oblige if so!

"Oh that's not true..anyone who says otherwise can come talk to me.." She said with a not so innocent smile. Her attitude didn't just come with people annoying her, but from anyone talking down her friends. She was quite defensive of her friends and family! "Well....I definitely can put you down in the dirt.." She said with a big grin, seeming a little to confidant in those words. "Well..! She..doesn't have to worry about me. Unlike Autumn, I actually have fun practicing and learning from all my family. I even took down a Reaper once you know! " She may of left out a huge amount of details there, but all that mattered was she did knock one Reaper down, and that was all that mattered to her! Reapers were powerful beings, so it was a big win in her eyes. "..Um, no..I don't like bugs, especially spiders with an attitude like THAT one on your head. " Layla's expression softened slightly, if anyone could calm her down, it was probably the kind prince before her, he certainly held the gift of calming people down, and bringing out smiles in even the most stoic person. "Thank you.." She giggled softly. "In both looks and skill, as some people might begin to dislike.." She wasn't afraid to use those 'skill's to get people away, either! "......." AIko blinked at him, scuffing the tip of her foot against the ground lightly, as if she were trying to think of a way to get herself out of this situation. She didn't want to be mean to him, because gods, it was very hard to be mean to HIM. But still, she didn't like to be treated like a child either! "...I uh, have other things to do.. sorry..You have fun with that....and don't try to follow me this time. Bye!! " That said, Aiko was amazingly fast at bolting out the door before he could even open his mouth to respond. She didn't want to feel anymore guilty about not going, so a quick exit was her best option!

"Haha... it's not such a big deal. I certainly don't mind. They're not entirely wrong!" Probably best for him not to mention the one who said it most was her brother, Javik! Not that she'd have to give it much thought to figure it out. He wasn't exactly shy about insulting Reiner, and always failing to offend him, much to his irritation. Did anything offend Reiner? Addressing Aiko, he laughed. "It's true, I would have no chance! It would be seconds before you'd have a foot perched on my chest." He said, clearly having no issue with this thing thought that would be the ultimate humiliation for most people. Nothing really bothered him! Even when Zane utterly defeated and dominated him in front of everyone, all Reiner did was tell him how good a job he did. There was probably nothing more frustrating in the world than trying to put Reiner in a bad mood, or offend him, or humiliate him. He just rolled with anything! "That's impressive! I don't think I've ever defeated a Reaper myself. More proof that you'd destroy me!" He blinked at her next words. "Really? But they're so cute..." Which was clearly something everyone believed, not just Reiner. Spiders being called cute was just so common. "Dislike?" He asked Layla now. "I can't imagine that... seeing your skills with martial arts is incredible! And your strength is amazing--maybe even more than Solaris's, and that's quite the accomplishment!" Solaris certainly took after their father when it came to immense strength, but Layla might just have her beat in that department. "...Wait!" Aiko was certainly fast. And it wasn't like he was just going to lunge at her or try to force her to accompany him. That wouldn't be right either. He glanced at Layla. "Give my regards to Solaris and the others, would you? I'm not going to be the one to risk the wrath of Minerva, so I'll see them soon!" He gave her a small wave, before turning and heading out the door, following after Aiko despite her protests. He still had a job to do here, and nobody wanted to get on Minerva's bad side!

"Actually, it is to me! I have a few guesses on the culprits. I know how to get the guilty to talk. " The way she said those words could make just about anyone nervous, anyone that was guilty! Layla was just finishing up the rest of the clean up of the bar, which was little to do with just how slow it was today, before she stepped out from behind the bar, scooting in the few chairs around it as she readied to close it down. "Alright, let's head out. " She said as she scooted Aiko along, only for her to stop, and swiftly turn back to finish her conversation with Reiner. "..Oh, for sure! You'll see one day.." One day she said. That likely meant all her brave, confidant talk was all just for show, to make her sound tougher then she really was! She had no intention of actually dueling him.But she probably could give him a knock into the dirt had he not been paying attention, she was still quite confidant about that! Laya's expression fell to a slightly amused smile. "You're just to innocent and kind, aren't you, Reiner. What I mean is, they dislike my skills, because they aren't very pleasant when I use them on them. " That could make a lot of people fear her! "Reiner, just let the girl be. Do you have any idea how much she wanders? I'm certain she doesn't just stay in one city to long. While she's young, she has her abilities to keep her out of danger. You certainly don't have to be baby-sitting her. She will no doubt find a way to lose you in the end, so don't you think it's better to leave her, knowing she is at least in the city? " Better then running off to another far away one just to get away from her stalker!

"It's really no big deal!" Reiner said with a small laugh, obviously it didn't bother him! No reason for it to bother her, right? "Why would it matter to you, though? I would expect it from Solaris, but less so from you!" He found it sweet that she cared, but he didn't know why she did! Despite how easy-going Solaris often seemed, she was very protective over her siblings--the typical protective eldest sibling, one could say. He had to pick his words carefully around her sometimes, otherwise Javik and some others might end up with a few broken ribs! "Oh, really? I suppose that makes sense. Honestly, if you used them on me, I'd just be happy to get to see your skills firsthand! And then I'd really know how bad your enemies have it." He said jovially, as if she'd just start attacking him out of nowhere at some point! Knowing Reiner though, he wouldn't be offended. "Maybe we should spar sometime, actually! I could use some improvement on fighting a martial artist." Not like it had to happen now regardless, but maybe at some point. As Aiko fled though, and Layla insisted he let her go, he chuckled in response. "Sorry Layla, that's just not in me to do. Minerva trusted me with this. Like I said though, tell the others I said hi!" He said, giving her a wave and hurrying out the door to keep an eye on Aiko. Honestly, Layla must have known the likelihood of convincing him was rather low!
