The sun was bright, the birds were chirping in the trees and Juno could be spotted walking along the campus nonchalantly in his usual way. What had brought him out on this beautiful afternoon? A desire to visit a nice cafe in Ronth he'd found recently with the best chocolate raspberry tart. Seriously, it was the best. And knowing Juno's sweet tooth, how could he resist on a day like this?
Sure Ronth wasn't the safest place, but this cafe sure knew how to hit his sweet spot. And he was always in the mood for sweets. He especially could use a treat at the moment as well. Being back at SA was a little strange still, but he was slowly getting used to it. However he did occasionally need a pick-me-up.
With his long legs, he easily strode across the campus. Minding his own business with a swing to his step, Juno took the secret tunnel down to the end of the island where the convenient bridge to Ronth stood. Inconspicuously blending into the street, trying not to be noticed from whence he came. Once he was sure that no one had noticed anything strange, he whistled a little tune and went on his way down the block. Shades in his pocket, so as to look like a civilian.

The days were grinding, tiring. Sure, his breaks visiting Clowrey and going down to the shore were always fun, but they weren't enough. His attention was too short, he was bored of this place all too soon. His room had become flooded with books from the library, some read, some discarded because they weren't interesting enough. Most of the time he could keep himself busy, but... not always.
Now was one of the times were nothing seemed to be interesting enough to keep him distracted. Not even Nikolai, who hung from his front pocket in the shape of a weasel, was interesting right now. But the whims of a child were as easy to gain as to loose, and when Isaac managed to spot someone whom he didn't really know very well-- a teacher or something, he guessed, he was inclined to follow. The man whom he followed didn't look young enough to be a student, but Isaac had never had a class with this man as a teacher and that made him someone entirely new-- and thus more fascinating then anything he was already familiar with.
He had to work hard to keep pace with the man and probably would have been heard if it weren't for the whistling. There wasn't really time to hide or be stealthy when he was trying to keep up, so Isaac just had to hope that he'd stay looking ahead. Isaac hoped that he'd do something interesting, too, but he had never even been to Ronth so the whole experience held at least mild interest, fleeting as it might have been.
He was just so... restless.
And so he decided to make a game of following the man he didn't know.
Isaac first tried follow the leader, but the man ahead didn't do anything interesting and so that lost it's charm. He then tried copying the tune that he whistled, but it came out very quiet. So he sighed and looked down into his pocket, at the small silver weasel like creature which jerked to life and crawled up his shirt to sit on his head.
He giggled a little and pet his creation-- "Good Nikolai. Do you want to play follow the leader with him too?"
And while the creation could not and did not answer, it slipped off of his head and skittered to the ground and made it's way towards Juno, making soft skrrrtch sounds as it moved.

Huh? Isaac scuffled forward very slowly when Juno stopped. He didn't want to seem suspicious, but he didn't want to get too close either... Then again, he couldn't play follow the leader right now because that would involve stopping and bending over in the middle of the sidewalk and that would be pretty suspicious right?
Up ahead, Nikolai fell still for a moment before twisting and squirming as soon as it got into Juno's hands as though it wanted to be free. It made a noise from it's 'mouth'-- not a chattering or a snapping noise, but a dull thunk of metal meeting metal a few times.
Like it was displeased.
When it was moved underneath Juno's arm, Isaac's face flushed pink with insult. You just didn't go around taking people's pets, even if they were following you. But Isaac didn't protest it too much and instead simply followed after for a few minutes.
After it became clear that the man was keeping an eye on him, he frowned and jumped up in down a few times in a show of blatant displeasure before reaching both his arms out towards Nikolai and causing the creature to resume a liquid state, slipping cleanly out of Juno's grip and sliding along the ground back to Isaac.
Isaac rolled the roskyy into a small ball before rolling it flat between his palms like it was a snake and setting it upon his shoulders, looking quite pleased with himself.
Sure, now the probably-teacher was sure he was following him, but he would have found out anyway and he probably already knew, right?
The boy whistled sharply and took several large, leaping steps towards the tall man before standing beside him.
"Ferrets don't stay still, Mister, you can't just tuck them under your arm like that."

Juno was partially surprised when the creature under his arm seemed to slip through his grasp, but not all too surprised as it didn't look like an normal creature to begin with. He turned around to witness the strange material liquidize and reform into a snake which sat on the blond boy's shoulders. How interesting...!
Then the boy whistled and leapt up to him. "Ferrets don't stay still, Mister, you can't just tuck them under your arm like that."
Juno smirked with a laugh. "I see. But that isn't your ordinary ferret now is it...?" He inquired. He wondered why the boy had been following him, or seemed to be. He looked around the groups of passing people to find a parent of some sort.
"Hey kid, are you alone?" He raised an eyebrow at the curious kid. What was he going to do if there was no guardian around to watch over him? He wanted some sugary sweetness before classes later and this was an unexpected development. Please kid, please say you're waiting for someone or someone is just around the corner coming to find you...!
Though. Juno had to admit, this occurrence was definitely making for an interesting start to a day. If the kid was lost, though he didn't seem it, he could simply drop him off someplace familiar right? Or. Who knows. "What're you doing by yourself?" Juno waited for his reply, unsure of what exactly to do at the moment.

Isaac stretched a whistle out as far as he could on a breath before shaking his head when questioned about Nikolai. He'd never seen a silver ferret, so... no. Truthfully, Isaac had never even seen a ferret in anything beyond picture books. They were kinda cool though, wiggly and squirmy and playful. Neat pets. Snakes were cool too, though.
He laced his fingers together and wobbled on his feet when questioned as to if he was alone. He was going to get in trouble, wasn't he? Isaac couldn't just lie and say no, but he couldn't say he'd followed the man from the school, either. "I... have Nikolai..." He murmured, still squirming under the man's gaze.
Ohhh, he was going to get in trouble.
"I'm not by myself! I'm not. I'm... ... I have... Nikolai... and..." He dropped his voice very low, murmuring almost inaudibly. "...and I'm out here with you, too."

Ah crap. Good job Juno. He was scaring the poor kid...? He never thought of himself as scary, but apparently he was being so at the moment. The boy seemed really nervous. Afraid that he would burst into tears and cause even more people to stare at the pair, as people were already beginning to stare, Juno quickly put up both his hands in a 'stop' signal way.
"Woah, woah kid. It's okay, I'm just wondering if you've got supervision." He laughed nervously and rubbed the back of his neck. He bent down so that he was closer to eye-level with the kid. "Out here with me, huh. Welp." Juno took in a breath and exhaled with a quick sigh. "Looks like you're coming along with me, huh? Until we get back to the school anyway."
Juno had good enough deduction skills to know that one, this boy had powers and two, he was probably from SA. How he hadn't noticed this boy was following him was beyond him, though it could be said that he was often in his own world and oblivious to general details at certain times.
"So... Nikolai's his name. You can call me SS. Or Shades." He smirked at the nickname Clow'd given him. He did wonder how no one else seemed to have come up with it through all their time of knowing him. It seemed like such a blatant nickname, not like steam ship or beanpole. Pff. "What about you?" Juno said with a smile and held his hand out to the kid for a shake. May as well get to know him, right? It would hopefully ease the kid's worries, whatever they were that made him so quiet.

Isaac made a funny noise when he was told to stop, something sharp and startled that he smothered down as soon as it tried to leave his mouth. He blushed a bit, feeling a bit on the guilty side because... people were staring, and the way the teacher was looking around must have made them think that it was the teacher's fault and he didn't want that.
When the teacher leaned over, Isaac leaned up on the balls of his feet to help with them meeting on eye-level. It wasn't quite right, but it was something. The hero-to-be was nervous, yes, but from the moment the teacher said he was going to come along he brightened up. A small, shy smile crossed his lips and he let himself drop flat on his feet.
"Until then," he agreed with a nod. The snake wrapped around his shoulders copied the gesture on a delay after the name 'Nikolai,' and Isaac frowned at the jerky nature of the response. It was really hard to keep Nikolai in form like this after changing him around so much. That was okay, though, he'd just let his pet go loose around his neck and he'd treat it like one of his stuffed animals until he had enough energy to play around with him again.
Isaac preoccupied himself over the thought until SS-- Shades, he liked Shades better-- offered him a hand and asked for his name. Manners, manners... "I'm Isaac, Mister Shades. I think, uhm..." He leaned in for a moment and dropped his voice low, like he was sharing a great big secret. It felt that way to Isaac; there were rules about secret identities he hadn't quite caught onto. Saying the two names together could be a bad thing, but the man in front of him was a teacher, he could probably find out anyway.
"Rift, too," he murmured. He stood upright again-- maybe with a little bit more attention to his posture before-- and took the offered hand with a shake. "It's nice to meet you."
