It had come to be one of those winters in December, where snow seemed a bit absent despite all the eager glee of friends and family. So to counter-act the glum of nature's grudge against her wanting blissful snowy fields, she decided to bring the outdoors-indoors!
"Ahhh~ I do love the smell of sweets baking..." she hummed, a smile growing on her face as she looked at the artful growing display of Santa-shaped cookies that had been confection'd to her preference.
Though, before she could indulge peacefully by the fire with her delights, a noise seemed to be crumbling down from the chimney."It's too early for Santa to be here..." she mused, as she approached with frying pan in hand.
Before she could react, a rather monotone looking creature poked it's face out and in instinct, she felt herself cringe. "Hey! I thought I Zero Bot proof the house yesterday!" She prepared herself, not ready to surrender her delicious treats to this growing scourge.

The first of the many jumped, and jointing herself like she was a batter at the batting cages, she adjusted her arm and swung the frying pan in her hand as though it as an aluminum baseball bat. "Fiend!" she shouted, a devious smile forming only to switch to that of shock when she watched it get up as though she had hit it with a flyswatter.

She decided to run back, setting her back so it would face the only entrance to the kitchen. "So you want to play rough eh?" she mocked, watching as the bot stumbled forward only to teeter over as she took a sudden, unexpected swing at it again. This time, she had aimed for the head, figuring though it was a lot harder to hit, the crystal that seemed attached to their heads looked like a weak point.

The bot seemed determined though, despite the constant battering and taunts she gave, "Come on already, how much longer do I have to wait til you break?!" The bot crept towards her again, in which she responded by instead of aiming with a side swing, going for a straight-down blow. The result was the response of what sound like the small tinkling of breaking glass, as the thing plopped to the ground temporarily.

"Is it ko'd yet...?" she poked it tentatively only to be greeted with a response of it suddenly getting up with this rather monotone yet slightly annoyed expression. "Oh snap...I guess not!" She went to hit it again but was greeted with the surprise of it actually ducking just in time. "Oh hey! What the hay, I thought these things were slow!" she yelled bitterly.

It was then when she realized her foot had been on that new, winter-themed mini rug that she just recently bought. Because it was so brand new, it had a tendency of easily slipping out of place, thus explaining how the bot had suddenly got a speed upgrade. "Ohh...opps..." she mumbled, now no longer too worried as she went for another strike to the head. "I promise I'll only 'slightly' knock you out unconscious in the next two to three blows~"

As she looked onto the pile of bits and pieces, left-over from the final destruction of the bot, her heart started to feel at ease. "That actually wasn't too hard." she said rather amused, but it would be short lived! For the truth was: that bot actually had a partner in crime! Not only that, but he had seen the whole thing go down and now decided to try and succeed where his partner had failed! The scuttling of footsteps could be heard in the adjacent room as it suddenly appeared in the doorway, a blank yet somewhat visible annoyance striking it's features. "Come and get it you hooligan!" she tossed a left-over container of meatloaf at it, hoping to confuse it, but instead as it hit it: the thing just stared back at her like she was crazy. "I guess my cooking isn't 'that' deadly..." she grumbled.

Though, what she did forget was that the meatloaf leftovers still had a bit of spaghetti sauce left in the container. Being the bot seemed to be an electrical contraption, this caused a few of the wires to fritz out in response. "Oh hey, this gives me an idea..." she stated-matter-of-fact like. She went for grabbing the case of leftover Diet Mountain Dew's, she decided to chuck one at it and see what kind of response she would get.

The ending result was the can busting open against the denser metal of the bot, which in turn cause a mini water balloon effect of the soda to dose the bot. She gave a secret smile, glad it was diet since sugary soda's seemed to cause a bigger mess. "Ha! Didn't expect that did you?" she said boastfully, feeling the mental annoyance radiating off the bot. She figured if she got rid of this one just as quickly, she could get to better safety-proofing the rest of the house: or at least the kitchen.
