xxxℋαиℯ ℰя℩s ℘ℯии xxxx⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷ xxxxxƉιsтɍιcт иιие Hane laid on his bed, perfectly content in his little dream world. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he knew it was a dream. Soon to come to an end. As always though, he ignored the impending-doom-like warning and stayed relaxed in his dream. He was laying in swim shorts on a beach. The sun was out, keeping him warm but not to the point he was burning. Hane had never actually been to a beach. He'd love to though. He'd seen pictures and read books mentioning the relaxing places. Maybe one day. Just not that day. He would settle with his dream for now.
Hane didn't know how time passed in a dream. In a dream there really is no time. You could have a full length dream in five minutes. Or a dream that seemed to last only ten minutes in several hours. It all depended on the mind. Time also was not one of Hane's concerns as he lounged, back pressed comfortable against the warm sand under him. He closed his eyes, wanting to stay that way. He did not get his wish. After what felt like a minute of his eyes being closed, the dream shifted. That foreboding sense of falling hit him.
Hane knew he shouldn't panic. It was just a dream. But instinct took over. His brain thought he was falling. So did, apparently, his body. His body gave a massive jerk. Next thing he knew he was in his room, eyes open, and falling onto the floor off his bed. Groaning, he rolled over onto his back, he blinked sleepily up at the ceiling. His annoying little quirk of falling out of bed while having a fantastic dream hadn't left him.
Hane glanced up at the clock on his night stand. Even in the waking world, time didn't really matter to him. Placing a hand on the bed, Hane pushed himself to his feet. He swayed a bit, tempted to sit back down. Looking out the window, he saw the other difference in worlds. In the dream world, it had been nice and sunny. Here, it was raining.
Muttering, he grabbed some a clean pair of boxers and some jeans before walking to his bathroom. He stripped off his sweats and stepped into the shower. Scrubbing himself down, as well as washing away the rest of the sense of dreaming. Sure he still felt half asleep. But any notion that he'd go back to sleep to that dream went down the drain with the soap and water. He made the shower last though. They had plenty of hot water. Even with six people in the house. And the shower felt good on his sore, waking skin.
After he finally turned the shower off, he dried off and got dressed. Well, besides a shirt. That was changed as well when he walked back into his bedroom and to his dresser. He was feeling about as gloomy as it looked outside. Thus, he pulled out a black shirt. Of course his grogginess was no doubt the cause of his phunk. Which would probably, hopefully, go away after he ate. Then he most likely wouldn't look too dark. If he did, ah well.
Leaving his room, Hane made his way downstairs, finishing up buttoning his shirt. He ran through what food he was in the mood for. Versus what he knew they had. Strangely, he wasn't too hungry. Which he realized as he opened the fridge and found nothing he saw looked particularly appetizing. Closing the fridge, he turned around and took an orange from a fruit bowl and sat himself on the counter. He couldn't help close his eyes as he started to peel the skin from the fruit.

xxxαввץ єℓιzα ρєии xxxx⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷ xxxxxƉιsтɍιcт иιие Abby woke up with a start hearing a loud clap of thunder that signaled a bolt of lightening soon after. Her eyes were adjusting slowly to the darkened room, and her heartbeat was racing. Where was she? And why the hell was she on the floor? As her green eyes adjusted to the low lighting she saw that she was in fact in Hane's room. Abby's heart rate returned to normal as she remembered sneaking into her older brother's room around three this morning. The young girl popped her head over the bed to see if Hane was still sleeping, the only traces her brother had even been in the room at all that night was his was his unmade bed. As Abby's body slowly began to work itself awake the girl started picking up all her blankets and pillows. She folded them neatly in a pile, putting one blanket on top of the other as she did. The blond wasn't aloud to sleep anywhere else but her shared room with her twin brother, but just the thought of sleeping in the same room with him made her skin crawl. They were now thirteen, it only made since if Abby or her brother got their own single room. You may think it would creep the blond out even more to sleep in Hane's room, but it didn't. It actually felt more normal than being in her shared room with her twin. Once the task at hand was done, Abby picked up all the folded blankets and pillows and headed for her room across the hall. She was careful not wake her sleeping twin as she dumped all her belongings on her single bed. If word went to her father she had been sleeping somewhere else these past months, there would be a beating with Abby's name on it. The girl went to her side of the closet soundlessly opening the door and picking a few articles of clothing to wear for the day. She had to go the the bathroom on the first floor in order to change out of her sleepwear and into her day clothes. An inconvenience to Abby as it were. After coming out of the bathroom, day clothes on, hair brushed, and faced washed, the young girl headed towards the kitchen. Since it was still early in the morning and it was raining out, no one in her family would be up just yet. Expect for Hane that is. Abby jumped up on the on the island, planting her small butt on the marble counter and took an apple out the fruit bowl. She took a tentative bite out of it, her long muscular legs silently bumping into the cabinets as she ate. The apple was sweet and juicy in her mouth, so the next bite was much bigger. As she chewed the loud crunching sound echoed throughout the kitchen. Abby placed the apple down on the counter next her, looking around the picture perfect room. All her siblings knew she hated living in this house. It was too clean, too perfect for their family. They only got the house because her father was a Victor. If he hadn't won in the games they would have never even been able to afford this place. But if he hadn't won the games none of them would exist either. The girl picked up her apple again, and finished it off. She didn't dare leave it on the counter like she wanted too. Instead, Abby jumped down from the island and threw the core into the trash. She went over to the island siting back on the marble counter and taking out another apple from the fruit bowl. She would do this process two more times. It was her morning routine, it was the only routine the girl had besides her sleep routine. ⊣At the house⊢⊸⊸⊸⊸⊸⊣Groggy⊢⊸⊸⊸⊸⊸⊣Got nothing⊢⊸⊸⊸⊸⊸⊣Healthy⊢⊸⊸⊸⊸⊸⊣No one⊢ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A sxxxt h exxxw o r l dxxxf a l l sxxxa w a yxxxa n dxxxIxxxc a n txxxf i n dxxxaxxxr e a s o n A sxxxt h exxxw o r l dxxxt u r n sxxxt oxxxg r e y I t sxxxk i l l i n gxxxm exxxu n w i l l i n g l yxxxa n dxxxIxxxa mxxxj u s txxxt h exxxs a m exxxa sxxxy o u

xxxℋαиℯ ℰя℩s ℘ℯии xxxx⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷ xxxxxƉιsтɍιcт иιие A few minutes after Melody had arrived, spaced out, and waited, Hane walked into view with Abby. Well, maybe ten minutes or so. They had been pretty deep in the fields. It had also taken a bit longer because he'd taken a longer rout to stay at least a little dry. Er. Dryer. Which was what he was feeling he was going to have to be thrown into soon actually.
Hane was already pretty wet. With the exception of his back. His hair was flattened and plastered to his head and face. Covering his eyes a bit. Which was probably why he didn't notice the girl at the door until he was a bit closer and looked up. He smiled a bit sheepishly. Wondering how long she had been waiting there. Her attention was at the door so she probably didn't notice them. Until Hane spoke up.
"Hey there, hope you haven't been waiting long. Sorry if you have. Everyone else must still be asleep." He figured as he walked up to the house and the girl. He briefly glanced her over, trying to determine why she was there. She didn't look a threat or harm to them. Considerably put together actually. "I'd ask how can I help you, but considering the current conditions, maybe it's better discussed inside." He chuckled.
Slightly muttering 'excuse me' he stepped to the door after reaching for the key he kept in his back pocket. Shifting Abby's weight a bit onto his other arm and hand, he unlocked the door and opened it before stepping in. "C'mon in. Wouldn't want anyone to catch their death before we get a chance to talk." He smiled. After kicking off and leaving his shoes by the door, he stepped in a bit more and set Abby down.
Quickly slipping into the kitchen, he stepped back out and handed Abby a towel to get the majority of drying done. Well, at least enough neither of them trudged across the house leaving a stream. Using his own towel he'd grabbed to dry his hair, he turned back to the girl. "Now then. How can I help ya?" He asked. Ruffling and pretty much scrubbing his hair with the rag. That was thankfully clean.
Looking at the girl he began to recognize her a bit. Though he couldn't place a name. He figured he'd probably seen her at school. Like he'd decided earlier, she didn't seem to be there to harm or threaten them. If she was there as a thief, she wouldn't have been waiting at the door. Plus, no criminal dressed that nicely. Or looked that nice and peaceful in general. He had detected a slight nervousness about her. Which he couldn't really place a reason for. Maybe she thought she would get shooed from the property. Well hopefully she saw that wasn't going to be an issue. Rather, she'd been invited in.

The majority of her body was dry for the exception of her back where the rain had kept hitting it as her brother carried her home. She kept thinking about what Hane had told her. "Everything is going to be okay, Abby." He had reassured the young girl she wouldn't possibly be picked, for her name was only in the Games twice. But that didn't mean a damn thing to Mute as she remembered Kasai, her best friend, had been picked her first year. Just thinking about the other girl made Abby sad and angry all at once. She was so caught up in her own world, Abby hadn't noticed the stranger waiting patiently at their front door. As Hane got closer the blond could tell the strange was in fact female. A pretty female to be more exact. Her defenses and walls went up immediately as her older began to speak with the girl. She wanted to hit him when he had invited the strange girl into their safe dry home. Once, all three teens were in the house safely and out of the rain, Hane gingerly dropped Abby off his back. He left them for a short second, coming back with a towel for her and himself. She caught with her hand and stripped out of Hane's soaked hoodie and began drying herself off. She ignored the girl named Melody as she did this, hoping she would go away soon. But to Abby's dismay the girl asked her older brother if she were able to work for their family. Mute shot her brother a look that told him hell no. But when he didn't respond to Melody, Abby threw down her towel and walked right back out of the house and into the pouring rain. They both knew if their parents weren't able to speak for themselves or were away Hane was in was in charge. He could very easily tell Melody to take a hike and be on her way. But she saw the way her older brother looked at the girl. As Abby ran away from the Penn house, tears began to fill her eyes. She didn't know why exactly, but she had a feeling she was about to loose her brother to that strange woman in their house. xxxℋαиℯ ℰя℩s ℘ℯии xxxx⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷ xxxxxƉιsтɍιcт иιие Hane chuckled and nodded in confirmation when the girl said it looked like they had gone on an 'adventure' Yes somewhat they had. Had Abby not come to find him, he probably would still be out there. Whether it would have been doing the same thing or another. Unlike his sister who got ill quickly in the rain, he loved it. Nature cleansing itself almost. Especially the smell before and after rain. The freshness of it.
Hane listened as the girl explained the reason for her being there. He was considering waking his mother. Not that she would really mind. It wasn't like he was rude about it. Just a knock and maybe a polite call through the door. It wasn't like they needed to sleep in any longer than they had already. Out of the corner of his eyes as he dried, he caught his sister's glare. He did take this into account. His sister wasn't social, that was obvious. But he wasn't going to be rude to Melody either.
He was about to reply to Melody's offer when he really saw Abby's expression. Right before she stormed back out of the house. Damn, he hated when she did that. She couldn't read his mind. For all she knew he was about to say he would wake their parents. But now, she had to assume he was going to take charge again. Yes in maybe another situation he would have. But this time he would have gotten their parents.
"Abby! Wait!" He called, hiding a sigh. It took him about two quick strides to get to and out the door. He watched his sister's running shape grow smaller until it was gone. Then he let out a sigh and walked back in. "Sorry about that Melody. Name's Hane." He said as he reached into one of the side doors that was a closet and pulled out an actual rain jacket. Zipping it and pulling the hood up, he turned to the blonde.
"I hate to introduce and run, but I should probably go find her. Before she actually does catch a cold. Or fever. Or pneumonia." He shook his head as if he was disappointed this happened. Again. "If you'd like, you can help. If not, I can let my parents know that you came by and give you their answer. I personally would not have a problem with it. But ultimately the choice is not mine." He shrugged and started for the door again.
Normally, no, he would not leave a stranger alone in their home. But right now, it was different. Right now he was more concerned about his sister's health. Than he was about even his family, house, or even his own safety. Plus if this girl was any threat, they would find out. And the peacekeepers would find her. Though he doubted she would risk that. Actually Hane hated the peacekeepers and any kind of authority the Capitol placed around them. But at times they could be of some use.

xxxℋαиℯ ℰя℩s ℘ℯии xxxx⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷⊷ xxxxxƉιsтɍιcт иιие Hane nodded in thanks when she said she would help. Though he didn't catch the last bit, he didn't ask her to repeat. If she had wanted him to hear, she would have said it louder. He knew how that went. Muttering low enough for someone to miss it. It could be good or bad. Neither fit at this moment or with the girl's expression. Maybe sad. Yeah, sad fit better. The reason for that, he wasn't going to ask why either.
Though he felt bad that Melody felt it was partly her fault. Where as that was only slightly true. Some of it was his as well. Also Abby's. His because he should have taken into account his sister's feelings a bit more. If that was possible. He thought almost bitterly but pushed the feeling aside. He did always try to look after Abby and her brother more than he did himself. Even though he put them ahead of Quinn, he still put her ahead of himself. As long as his family was happy and safe, he was content.
But Abby did at times make it difficult. He knew she didn't like to talk. To anyone. Ever. Which meant her social skills and people skills were at best low. She couldn't exactly read people as well as she thought. Which was probably why she read Hane's intentions wrong. Thus leading to her jumping to conclusions and running.
Hane paused at the door, thinking if they had an umbrella or if he should grab Abby a jacket. Both were ideal. So he turned back to the closet and looked in for one of Abby's warmer rain jackets. The umbrella was easy to spot so he tucked it under his arm. About a minute later he found one of her rain jackets and folded it up tightly so it wouldn't be soaked when Abby got it on. If she got it on. When he turned back to Melody and the door, he remembered something.
"Ah, one more thing." He said, walking back into the kitchen. Finding a pen and a piece of paper. He wrote a note to his parents encase they were up when he got back. 'Running to the market with Abby. Be back soon. -Hane' And sticking it on the counter. Lie or not, he wasn't going to let Abby get the bad end of this. He'd rather it be him. Walking back out into the main foyer, he looked back at Melody.
"Ready?" He asked. Stepping back over to the door and holding it open. The umbrella was tucked under his arm so that it wouldn't catch rain in it as they walked. And the jacket was too tightly wound for the inside to get any rain in. Except maybe the bottom of it. What good would a jacket be to Abby if it was soaking wet when she got it? He knew that if they waited too long, though, either she would come back about to pass out. Or she wouldn't make it back.
