The Niwataki Garden

The Niwataki Garden is a beautiful Japanese setting that promotes tranquility and relaxation with its peaceful atmosphere. The garden is constantly fed water from two waterfalls at opposite ends of the garden, which flow into small creeks that water most of the garden, as well as to the multiple ponds. One waterfall is well over eighty feet tall, the water cascading off of jutting rocks to collect in a small three foot pool to flow outward and feed the creeks in the area. The bottom of the waterfall also has rocks, flat enough for any to sit under the waterfall for extreme meditation purposes. The other, much smaller water fall, fills into an eight foot deep pool, providing a good out door swimming location for those that want to enjoy a more peaceful environment.
The ponds in the garden are only around waist deep and home to many koi fish that can be seen in the surprisingly clear water. There are many spots around these ponds that provide blissful places to relax, whether on the grass, under the shade of a tree, or simply at the edge of the water. The mostly flat, spacious areas around the ponds allow any visitor to bask in the beauty of the greenery and wildlife of the garden. From certain places, you can also see the largest waterfall off in the distance, the other more cleverly hidden by the trees and plants to provide some privacy to those that may be there.
Niwataki also has its own Zen Garden. Whether it's your ideal place to meditate, or you want to go somewhere more quiet to think about things or relax. It is the most quiet place in the garden, and though it's not posted, it's generally known as a 'no talking zone', so that no one in the garden can ruin the experience for another that is present.
All in all, the Niwataki is an amazing place to unwind from the stress duties of being a shinigami. Whether you simply wish to relax, hang out with members from the squad or other squads, or to spend some alone time with that special someone, there's no better place to go. The Niwataki is a prime example of the beauty of nature and life. Enjoy it in all its glorious splendor.
