God. My ovaries are old.
1986? I remember we went out to eat b/c they were renovating our kitchen and I had a belly ache, and my mom thought it was all the dust in the house. Nope. Just cramps. Went to the bathroom. Came out mortified. Had NOTHING. Mom handed me napkins off the table to tide me over until we got home, which I thought was thoroughly disgusting LOL. I forced everyone to leave the restaurant so I could go home and find some pads.
On the plus side...I get to stop menstruating before all of you at this rate.

I got my first period when I was 12 (must have been 2002 or early 2003, somehow I have this mental image that there was snow on the ground, but my mind might be playing tricks on me) on 6th grade (our school system is different). It was a schoolday, I was at school, went to the toilet and there was this HUGE (atleast that's what I thought then) red stain in my panties, but thanks to all those lectures we had had about "becoming a woman" I just shoved a huge stack of toiletpaper into my panties and waited for the day to end. I texted my mother about it, she congratulated me and told me that I know where the pads are when I get home. I had a friend over that day, so I told her while we were walking to my place from where the schooltaxi had left us.
But the best thing is that me and my mom really bonded over this emotion_bigheart I guess most mothers and daughters do though...

Undecidability Spring 2001. ALMOST TEN YEARS AGO. crying I can't believe I got mine so much younger than most of you. D: I was ten. I got mine when I was 10 too! I can't remember when but it was probably near the end of spring/start of summer.

I got to tell my dad about my period. I went to the nurses office that day because of stomach cramps and when I got home, my dad was there waiting. I was going to his house that weekend, but he had a customer to visit that evening. So he was barking at me to hurry up. I was running around, getting ready and went to go pee and LOL BLOOD everywhere.
I was shocked. The underwear was ruined. I had to change undies. Luckily I'd been wearing black jeans that day.
I yelled down as he was barking for me to hurry up and was like UHHHHHH DAD I JUST GOT MY PERIOD.
and He was like ".....get some of your mom's s**t and let's go."
I had a disasterous first period in general. I never quite got the hang of pads, (still don't to this day. I hate pads.) had several accidents and I was a tampon girl from then on.
