So moving from Hawai'i to Maine proved disastrous.
We put all our media (ie: Manga, Anime, Games, Software) in a box. All stuff we couldn't live without. Everything else we donated or gave away but this box we kept. We insured it for $800 because that is what we could afford at the time, hoping that this would discourage the post office from losing it.
Well, they didn't lose the BOX! Just everything IN it! The postal worker littterally handed MC a empty box. Nothing - nada.
For the claim we had to price everything on Amazon.com. It came to over $3,312 we have to replace.
So I say CURSE YOU USPS! CURSE YOU!

refund my butt! They should be explaining how an entire box came to you completely empty and finding your stuff!

Have you heard anything about your missing books or have they only given you a refund? I hope they were at least timely about that!

Yes finally! It took 2 months but we finally got a refund check. Of course it doesn't pay for everything, only what we insured it for, but at least it is something! whee

So glad to hear it! Something is better than nothing! I wouldn't have even thought to insure it! In other crazy moving news, I just got an apartment in Lowell, MA! Very shortly we'll be almost neighbors!
