I thought I'd give a quick description of some of the events
wink Balls:Balls are basically socializing and chatting with others and the occasional appearance from an NPC (non player character, like the store owners). There are two balls each year; the anniversary ball (February 18th) which is created by the admin, and the annual ball (this year March 5th), which is user made.
Easter: I can't remember if there was a party for Easter, but there was an egg hunt. Every 15 minutes or so an egg would appear, and you'd click to collect it. When you had 8 eggs the "Easter bunny" would appear and give you an Easter basked that contained bunny/chickie hats.
Halloween:On Halloween you can go trick-or-treating, much like caroling for Christmas. The store owners give you candy, and once you've collected three different kinds of candy Jack appears and gives you a grab bag.
Last year there was also a brand new event for Halloween, where people got turned into zombies and could fight each other.
The Halloween event ended with the Gambino mansion getting blown up to save the world from zombies, but judging by the lab techs at the anniversary ball that plot still isn't over
