Okay... so I like this kid... he's a year older than me and we're pretty different. I'm quiet and introverted, but he's outgoing and talkative. I have no exes, but he has, let's see, there's Ashley, Carly, Erin, C [I only call her C because her name is too unique, so if I gave her 1st name away, it would be like giving her last name away too], and maybe Sam and Kerrin? So like... at least 5 exes that I know of. But I think he and I could balance each other out because we're so different. I've thought he was kind of cute for a while, but as soon as he transferred into one of my classes my attraction has gotten stronger. The good news is we're friendly and talk often right now, and that's something I never did with my last crush. I just laughed at whatever he said and never talked to him unless he spoke to me first. Maybe that's why I never had a chance to go out with him. That, and once I found out he was going out with an acquiantance of mine I felt I didn't want to interfere. Anyway, back to my current crush. We're not so different though. I love punk/rock music [Sum 41, Green Day, Blink182, Paramore, Coldplay, U2, etc.] and so does he. He likes nerdy things, like Star Wars, LARPing, and Harry Potter, and so do I. We're also into theatre and drama and stuff like that. I thought seeing him at homecoming with his girlfriend would ruin it for me, but it didn't. He broke up with his girlfriend like a week after homecoming and now I'm still after him. I don't know how to approach him or flirt or anything. I want to at least drop some hints, not scare him away or seem too obsessive or anything. Any ideas? Also, a problem I have is, as I said earlier, we're in a class together. A small one. And in small classes, everybody knows everything that goes on. If I do start going out with him [not saying that will happen] I'm afraid that word will get out that we're an item and people will start teasing us. Not to mention my ten-year-old brother at home; he might tease me too. So yeah, I kind of would like to start going out and stuff, but I'm horrified of the lovey-dovey awkward teasing that will come with it. Help?

We do talk and joke around a lot in class, which is a good sign I guess. And I always always always try to be myself. I'm against living lies.
